Yesterday Hanna and I sat down and figured out four of the six swaps we want to take to convention...now need to get stuff ordered and then made before  we leave. The hard part is coming up with the ideas....not the actual making of them!!  

Today will be spent cleaning the house for the Fourth of July....the parade always goes right by our house and then we have a lunch afterwards for anyone that wants to come!!  It's like another major holiday at the Wilson household.  This will be the first time ever...in 22 years...that Hanna has missed it.  She will be spending the fourth as a camp counselor this year.

Anchor Cards for Hanna

My latest project while I was in Missouri was 100 postcard style cards for Hanna to use in her job as a camp counselor.  These are one layer cards that she gives to her campers with a personal message at the end of the week.  They are super simple to make....I did all 100 of them in one evening while watching TV with my sister-in-law.

Washi Tape Thank You

Well...yesterday didn't go quite as planned....a deluge, girl scouts and paper crafting are not a good mix, so I left the paper bag albums with the camp, and came home. The girls will complete them sometime this week.

This is one of the cards that everyone made last night at stamp class.  The layout is identical to one my friend Susie made for Father's Day...I just switched out the colors and sentiment.

Washi Tape Card

It has been a very busy weekend.  Saturday's shopping trip to Des Moines was a huge success.  Hanna tried on her bridesmaid's dress and it fit perfectly, needing hardly any alterations...in fact probably none!!  We did some other shopping, ate at Macaroni Grill, and got home late Saturday evening.

This is one of the cards that everybody will be making tonight at Stamp Class.  What a great idea to stamp right over the washi tape.  I saw a card like this as I was browsing the Internet...sorry I can't remember where.

Here is the kit that all of the girls will receive today at Girl Scout Camp.  Everything is in the baggie ready to go for them to complete their albums.

It took a little longer than I thought to stuff all of the baggies.

Latest Project---30 Paper Bag Albums

And they are done!!!!!  Thirty paper bag scrapbook albums for the adults at the Girl Scout camp!!  I also have 90 kits cut and and bagged up so the scouts can make their own album on Monday!!

Each of these scrapbooks uses three lunch sacks, placed alternately, so there are three hidden openings for other pages or for the girls to put treasures they find or make next week.

I found this idea as I was surfing the Internet for ideas for autograph books, and decided that this way they could use it for that if they wanted to or they could add pictures of their experiences at camp.  I hope they like them as much as I do!!

As soon as I am finished posting this I am getting ready to walk out the door for a day of shopping in Des Moines with Julie and Hanna.  Hanna is a bridesmaid in a wedding in the fall and her dress has arrived.  Mom and Big Sister need to give their opinions as she tries it on to see if it needs alterations!!!

She Believed She Could

Today's card is another that everybody made at stamp class Monday night.  Since I still have school on the brain and probably always will to some extent, I thought this would be a great design idea and then use school colors to encourage either a sports team and player, or congratulate someone for an academic success. 

It is hard to see in the photo but the white background piece of cardstock has been run though the Big Shot using the Mosaic Embossing Folder.

Everything Will Be Okay

Who knew yesterday when I was blog surfing and came across the inspiration for this card that I would need it so soon.  The friend that came over Tuesday night and stamped baseball wedding shower invitations, died unexpectedly yesterday.  She was exactly my age.   I guess you just never know.

Simply Sketched Sympathy

Wow.....yesterday there was no time for stamping.....John and I changed the closets around and finally put away the winter clothes and got out the summer clothes.  Seven tubs up out of the basement and seven tubs back in the basement...nobody needs this many clothes!!!!!

There are some years that I am not all that fond of all of the new In-Colors.  That is not the case this year! I think they are absolutely fabulous and the combinations that you can put together are wonderful.  I can't wait to use them for two whole years.

Mosaic Birthday

One of my favorite products (who am I kidding...there are a lot of new products that are my favorites) in the new catalog is the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder and the coordinating punch.  I also like the fact that the embossing folder looks good whether you have the tiles sticking out or they are recessed.

This is going to be wedding week.  I have a friend coming over Tuesday night and we are going to make invitations for a wedding shower.  Then my niece, who is getting married in the fall, called yesterday and wanted to know if I could help her make her wedding invitations.  I guess I best be getting my stamp room cleaned quickly so I can get everything done in there that I want to.  I did work about an hour and a half yesterday and it is amazing how much better it looks already.  My new cardstock colors are all organized and labeled on their shelves and so are the inks!!  Now just on to the stamp sets!!

Simply Sketched----Take Two

Like I said yesterday...I think Simply Sketched is one of the best hostess sets to come out in a long time and I am particularly drawn to the bird.  This is a very simple and yet elegant card.
