A Round of Hellos

Today's card is one that comes from one of the Stampin' Sisters . . . Peggy.  I think they made it at the demo meeting that I did not go to since John was in the hospital.

Today is such a beautiful day I thought it was the perfect card to share.  It would work well for a birthday card, a congratulations card, or just a card to let someone know you are thinking about them.  It start with a card base and accents made with Peach Pie which is one of the retiring In Colors.  It pairs perfectly with Fresh Freesia as you can see here.  It also uses the Lovely and Beautiful Designer Series paper.  I think this has to be one of my favorite designer series papers in a while.

Errand running was on the agenda this morning.  Prescriptions and mulch were on my list. . . odd combination, I know.  The mulch is out the of vehicle but it is going to sit a day or two before I try and get it spread out.  Just loading it in and out of the Rav today was enough of a workout for one day.  A nap may be in my near future!!

Nature's Symphony

Today's card is one we made a while back at Make-It-Monday.  It looks much more complicated than it really is.  One thing I really like about this card is that is uses up a lot of the strips of cardstock that you might have left over.

I started with a card base of Petal Pink.  I cut several .75" strips of Petal Pink, Secret Sea, and Summer Splach cardstock and adhered them in a pteern to a piece of Basic White cardstock at an angle.  I cut any excess cardstock off that was. hanging over the edge.  I then embossed this striped piece with the Lazy Daisy 3D Embossing folder.  I then wrapped it with Secret Sea 3/8” Bordered Open Weave Ribbon and tied a know.  I adhered this to a piece of Secret Sea cardstock and then to the card base.  I stamped my sentiment in Secret Sea, layered it on a piece of Summer Splash, and adhered it to the card with dimensionals.  To finish my card I added a few 2025-2027 Flat Pearls.  I am loving the way it turned out!!

Garage sale stuff is all put away, dishes are all done, laundry is done, no appointments today . . . a totally free day.  I think I will spend the afternoon cross stitching and see if I can make some headway on the project  am working on.

Sending Salutations

Today I am sharing one of the On Stage Make and Takes that features a Sneak Peek into a new product . . . Artisan Sketches Garden Designer Series Paper.  It also uses a new stamp set, Sending salutations.  These will both be available on May 5, 2026

This is a super simple card that we all made last Monday at Make-It-Monday.  I started with a Basic White Thick card base.  I took a piece of the designer series paper and colored the flowers and leaves in with Fresh Freesia and Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends.  This was then layered n a piece of Basic Black cardstock and adhered to the front of the card.  The sentiment is stamped with a new In Color . . . Golden Glow and adhered to the front of the card.  I meant to put some bling on this card before I took the picture but forgot it.

Today is the second day of the impromptu garage sale.  There is still plenty of designer series paper and stamps and dies left to choose from!!

Sunshine and Tulips

Today's card is one I got as a swap when I was in Long Beach at Onstage.  I decided I had better share it since it is on the Last Chance List.  It is a stamp and die set.

I will say this is a rather unusual color combination.  What do you think?  I do love the sentiment in this set but it is not one I bought for myself.

This morning was a busy morning . . . I got all of my retired stamps and dies pulled off of my shelves and all of the new ones put on.  The inks are done as well.  The only thing I need to go through before next weekend is the ribbon and punches.  That should be pretty easy to do next week.  Tomorrow morning I am leaving before the rooster is awake to go with my friend Joan to a stamping event in Woodstock, Illinois with one of the Stampin' Sisters.  We decided we did not want to spend the night so we will leave early to get there by 9:00 AM and come home when we are done!  I will not be posting tomorrow as I will be up early enough without doing that!!

On Stage Sneak Peek

Today I am sharing one of the On Stage Make and Takess that fetures a sneak Peek into a new product . . . Water and Dotted Lines 12" X 12" Decorative Masks.

We used lost Lagoon Ink, a Blending Brush, and the Dotted Line Mask and Brushed the upper right hand corner and the lower left hand corner to achieve the dotted pattern.  We then took two pieces of Basic White and brushed the other mask over them to acheve the watery look.  They were then adhered to the card.  The sentiment came from the Ephemera Pack that was sitting on the table.  it was adhered with dimensionals.  I was going to add some bling to it when I got home but forgot all about it until just now!!  All cards need bling!!

Yesterday I got all of my embellishments sorted and the current ones on the shelf and the older ones put in tubs for garage sale time.  Today is stamp set sorting afternoon.

Banner Sayings

Today's card is a fun thank you card anyone would be delighted to receive.

My card starts off with a card base of Mossy Meadow.  A layer of Crumb Cake has been added that has been embossed with the folder of your choice.  Designer series paper and more Mossy Meadow completes your card.  The sentiment piece has been punched with the Three Banner Punch and added to the card with dimensionals.  A couple of embellishments were added and I was done.

Yesterday afternoon I decided I was going to go through all of my designer series paper and pull out the paper that was either retired or on the Last Chance List.  I have quite a stack of paper.  Today I am planning on going through the stamp sets that are on the list and pulling those from my shelves.  If you did not get my email yesterday I am planning on having an impromptu garage sale on Friday April 17th and Saturday April 18th.  I will not have things spread out like my summer sale but there will be plenty to choose from.

Lovely Arrangements

Today's card is one of the masculine cards we made at the Sister's Retreat in March.  We used the leaves from the Lovely Arrangements stamp set and dies and brown tone inks.  It makes the perfect masculine card.

This is technically a flowery set but if you only use the leaves and masculine colors you have a winner in the masculine card category.  The Nature Walk designer Series Paper had the perfect pattern to add to our masculine look.  The final masculine touch was the Faux Bronze Pentagon embellishments.

I am kind of at a loss . . . it has been a long time since I have had so many days in a row with nothing on my schedule.  I should go get some groceries, but since nothing appeals to either John or I that is a hard task.  I guess we will see what the afternoon brings.

Happy Easter!!

I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful day on Easter Sunday! This card is very similar to one we made at Make-It-Monday last month.

This is a card my friend, Susie shared.  I just changed up the sentiment, using a retired one from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I had to even borrow this set from Luetta as I could not find mine.  I also changed up the embossing folder using the Laisy Daisy 3D Embossing Folder  I think it turned out pretty cool.

This has been a lazy day for us.  Sleeping in and as usual watching baseball and cross stitching.  The Cubs are playing a double header today as they got rained out yesterday.  I should put laundry away . . . maybe between games.

Fragrant Layers

Today's card is one where the designer series paper does all of the work for you.  All you need is an embossing Folder, cardstock and some designer series paper.  This is one of the cards that is in this week's packet of Cards in the Mail.

I started with a card base of Old Olive and layered it with Very Vanilla that had been embossed with the Laisy Daisy 3D Embossing Folder.  I cut two pieces of the designer series paper as shown as layered them on Old Olive and then adhered them to the card.  I punched the banner with the Three Banner Punch and stamped my sentiment.  If you wanted you could add some bling for embellishment.

Tomorrow might be Easter but it still feels like winter outside to me. I ran to Kalona to run and errand and about froze to death.  I am sure this afternoon will be spent underneath my blanket either cross stitching or napping.  No football, no basketball, and no baseball that I am interested in until tonight!

Friendly Foliage

Today we have a piece of framed art that I made at the Stampin' Sisters Retreat the beginning of March.  It uses the Friendly Foliage Stamp set and an 8" X 8" white shadow box frame.

I love the combination of Petal Pink and Secret Sea along with the Lovely Blossom Designer Series Paper.  every time I look at this it reminds me that Spring is right around the corner.

Evidently even though March came in like a lamb it is going out like a lamb as well unless the weather gets bad this afternoon.  I think I am going to unbox my new catalog order and have fun looking at all of my new goodies!!

Sharing Loving Crafting

This card, which we made Monday is a little different . . . the card base is Vellum.

I started with a Vellum cardbase (very hard to fold easily and when you score it, it can also tear easily).  I added several layers of Basic White cardstock being careful where I put my adhesive so I could be sure and cover it up.  I took two strips of Nature's Walk Designer Series Paper and layered them on the top white piece.  The sentiment was stamped with Early Espresso on a circle of white cardstock.I added an embellishement and the front of the card was done.  I also added a piece of Basic White Cardstock to the inside of the card to give a space to write your message.  Not sure I will make toomany Vellum cards but ti does give a little variety to me collection.

Yesterday was a great doctor visit for John for two reasons . . . his eye sight was a little bt better and he went to tge appointment without his oxygen.  I took it along just in case and also the device that measures his oxygen rate but we made it up and back and stayed at the appointment for about 45 minutes in good shape.  Maybe things are starting to look up!

Flowers Fair

This large background stamp, Flower Fair is an On-Line Exclusive.  We used it Monday to make this beautiful card.

We started with a card base of Basic White Thick and added a layer of Blackberry bliss.  We used a piece of Woodgrain Wonders Designer Series Paper and stamped the flowers.  It was adhered to the Blackberry Bliss piece and then to the card base.  Our card was almost done except for embellishments and a sentiment.  We used the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch and stamped the sentiment with Blackberry Bliss ink.  You might think that is ribbon behind the sentiment piece, but actually it is two pieces of Blackberry Bliss cardstock punched out with the Three Banner Punch.  Each piece was then folded in half and adhered to the sentiment piece to achieve this look.  I think it is pretty cool.  How about you?

Stamping has been the last thing on my mind since I got home from Long Beach.  Resting, resting, resting has been about all I have done.  I guess I did not realize how tired I really was after On Stage and my airport adventure.  Hopefully my energy comes back soon. Today John has an eye appointment so there will be no resting or stamping today.  I am hopeful that I can stay awake long enough to watch the Iowa State basketball game and hope for another miraculous finish just like the Hawks yesterday!  It would be awesome to have two Iowa school in the Elite Eight!

Notes of Spring

Today's card is one directly from a website called Embellish.  It uses the Product of the Month . . . Notes of Spring.  It is one of the cards that everyone will be making at Make-It-Monday this week.

This is the perfect card for someone that has a spring birthday.  If you were to change the sentiment it would be a pretty cool baby card as well.  The animals are colored with the shadow stamps from the stamp set.  Get yours for only $5.

Today is going to be a basketball watching, resting kind of day.  I spent the day yesterday shopping with Hanna and the kids and picking out Easter outfits for everyone.  The boys wanted suits this year anad Shayra got a complimentary dress.  I got home in enough time to watch the Hawkeyes frist round NCAA tournament game.  This afternoon I will be watching the women's first NCAA tournament game.  I hope it has the same outcome!!

Good Luck

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!  I thought this card direct from the Stampin' Up! website was the perfect card to share today.  You are all worth your weight in gold as friends.

Since I did not make this card I am not sure what all they used to make it.  I do know that the sentiment is embossed with gold embossing powder on Shaded Spruce cardstock and added to the black pot.  The gold is Loose Gold Sequins which have been glued down.  It has a Granny Apple Green card base with a strip of Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper and a Gold Foil arrow.

Today has definitely been a day of rest.  I was supposed to be home from On Stage by Sunday afternoon and did not get home till 11:00 Monday night.  Let's just say the airport is not the best place for a good night's sleep!!

Notes of Spring

Today's card is one directly from the Stampin' Up! website.  It uses the Product of the Month . . . Notes of Spring.

After the regal colors of fall and the bright colors of Christmas, it is time for some muted colors of Spring.  The Product of the Month, Notes of Spring lends itself to this perfectly . . . both in name and design.   Since I did not actually make this card, I am not sure what all products they used other than the stamp set.

My bags are almost packed and I am ready to head to California for On Stage.  I hope to see some new product and get a new catalog with a lot of new product.  I will try to share while I am out there, but I am not sure what the WiFi situation is at my hotel.  I will for sure be back next Monday with lots of inspirtation!!

Lovely Arrangements

Today's card is made with a new product that is a March On Line Exclusive product . . .  Delicate Dreams Specialty Designer Series Paper.  You will want to get some of this paper for yourself.

I started with a base of Misty Moonlight and then added a layer of white.  I cut 5 strips from the Delicate Dreams Specialty Designer Series Paper and adhered them to the card front.  Using Misty Moonlight ink I stamped the sentiment.  I used the Secret Sea Bordered Ribbon and the Moody Palette Glossy Dots for embellishments and my card was done.

I had to make 38 of these cards for a card swap I was in.  These were relatively easy to make while sitting in my recliner.  I was debating about taking some of them to On Stage later this week but decidded to rest up while I was at home instead of making more swaps.

I started the day with my yearly check up at my general practioner and came home thinking I was going to go for a walk.  As I sit here a naap seems like a much better idea!!!

Woolly Friends

March 1st already . . . . where did February go?  I can't believe it is March already.  Today I am sharing a card from the Stampin' Up! website with a friendly lamb because it appears as if March is coming in like a lamb!!  Let's hope the whole month stays this way.

This little lamb is so cute . . . I guess maybe he is a sheep but for this card it's a lamb.  And to make him even better he is a punch . . . much easier to use.  The lamb is stamped with Memento Black ink and colored in with Stampin' Blends.  The sentiment is embossed with white embossing powder!!

Today I am bouind and determined to get my swaps done for next weekend.  All that is left is to tie the bows and add the embellishments.  I went out for lunch yesterday and when i got home I sat doen and promptly fell asleep.  Hopefully I can stay away today!!

Paradise Garden

Today I am showing you a sneak peek at a new stamp set, Paradise Garden.  This will be available with the March On-Line Exclusives.

This is a fun fold card with the opening being off center about an inch.  The circles hold the card closed.  Their is a normal 4" X. 5.25" piece of white cardstock for you to write your message on.  I love how bright and cheery the Lovely and Beautiful Designer Series Paper is.  I am hoping it gets this bright and cheery here and melts all of the snow that fell last night.

I started working on my swaps for the next two events last night while watching an excellent Hawkeye Basketball game.  I am hoping to get them done today or at the very least tomorrow.  We have no appointments until tomorrow afternoon so I have a good chick of time to work on the,  Wish me luck!

Fabulous Sayings

Today's card is using the February Product of the Month . . . Painted Illusions.  It is a Designer Series Paper collection characterized by soft, artistic watercolor gradients and whimsical patterns.  You are going to want to be sure and get yours before the end of the month.

My card starts with a Lost Lagoon with a layer of Basic White on that.  I took three equal pieces of the Painted Illusions Designer Series Paper and placed them on the top part of the white.  I took another piece of designer series paper and placed it on the bottom.  I added a ribbon and some embellishment next.  The sentiment goes on the circle and is popped up on dimensionals.

Today has been a lazy day again.  I was typing this post and fell asleep and believe it or not slept for a couple of hours.  Hopefully, I can stay awake for the Hawkeye Basketball game tonight.

Good Luck

Today I am sharing a card that everyone made last night.  My friend, Susie, posted a card with this layout and different paper and shamrock.  I didn't have the paper she used and I could not find my shamrock stamp, so I improvised.

The dots are from the Stripes anad Dots stamp set and the shamrock is a retired punch.  I am glad I did not get rid of that one!!  Garden Green is the perfect color for a St. Patrick's Day card.

Today has been a lazy day again.  I have sat in my recliner and visited and watched the gal that cleans my house work.  Tonight I am meeting a friend for supper and then going to bed early.
