Botanical Expressions
Today's card uses one of my favorite techniques . . . Joseph's Coat. Fern and Flora is the perfect stamp set to use with this technique.
I started by brushing three different ink colors over a piece of Basic White cardstock . . . Peaceful Pine, Golden Glow, and Old Olive. I then used Versamark and stamped the ferns over the colored cardstock. I embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder and then brushed any remaining powdr off of it. I took a Secret Sea Ink Pad and drug it over the cardstock. The ink resisted the embossed ferns and landed only on the sponged cardstock. I wipeed it good with a paper towel and this was the result. I layered it onto a piece of Golden Glow Cardstock and then onto a piece of Basic White. This was added to the Peaceful Pine card base. Some ribbon and the sentient were added as well as some In Color Butterflies. I love how it turned out.
I am actually still organizing my new products . . . today it is embellishments. It is way too HOT to go outside so this seemed like a good thing to do. I think it is going to be this way all week. What are you going to do on this hot day?

Waterside Retreat
Today's card is a goodbye to the last weekend of summer. It uses the Waterside Retreat Designer Series paper. If you have any fisherpeople in your family you certainly need this paper.
I believe I made this at one of the events I went to in Illinois. It is a bit time consuming to fussy cut the the fishing motifs, but other than that it is just basic paper layering. This packet of paper has some great masculine patterns for the men or boys in your life.

Radiant Sunflowers
Today's card is a sneak peek of a couple of products that will be available Tuesday, September 1st. The Copper Foil and the stamp set, Radiant Sunflowers, will both be available for you to order.
I have had this idea rattling around in my head ever since I saw the Garden Silhouette Hot Foil Die. It was unavailable for quite a while and is now unavailable again for a while. I think I must have just hit the small window when it was in stock. I foileed a quarter piece of Early Espresso cardstock with the Copper Foil and the Garden Silhouette Hot Foil Die. I then cut it into two pieces that measured 5" X 1.75". This allowed me to make two cards from my one piece of foiled cardstock. I played around with did I want the foil piece to be horizontal or vertical and I Liked both of them. However with the sentiment that I chose it looked much better horizontally. I then just built my card on a Very Vanilla Thick cardstock base using regular Very Vanilla and Early Espresso. I do love the way it turned out.
As soon as I am done posting this I am out the door to sepnd the day stamping with Luetta and Susie. I am hoping it gives me back my stamping mojo and energy!

Butterfly Flight Hot Foil Dies
Today I have another hot foil die card to share with you. This is one my friend Luetta made the day she came over and we experimenteed with the hot foil dies.
She had the parts and pieces done when she was experimenting with the pink foil and we just played around until there was a combination we liked. I love the way it turned out.
This afternoon I am planning on taking all of the Stampin' Up! boxes out of my vehicle and unpacking them and trying to decide where to put them in my room. They may end up just staying in a box marked new stuff. Hopefully it will give me back my stamping energy because it has been sorely lacking lately. Not ebergy in general, just stamping motivation!

Hot Foil System
I have been trying to sit down and do a blog post ever since Luetta came over and we experimented with the new hot foil system last week. Every time I sit down I fall asleep. Today has been an awake all day kind of day so I will try again.
It took us several tries to figure out exactly what we needed to do but once we got the hang of it, it was very easy. For this car we stamped stamped the Botanical Glow stamp set on a piece of Basic White cardstock with Hydrangea Hue ink and then used the Hot Foil die with the silver foil, right over the stamped image. It does not line up and it is not supposed to!! We used the foil dies with the silver foil and a piece of Hydrangea Hue for the sentiment. There is also a piece of silver foil in back of the Basic White cardstock. Basic Rhinestones finished our card.
Believe it or not I started this post at 1:00 and it has taken me until 7:00 to get it finished. Everytime I started to work on it something came along that I had to do, but at least it is done now!!

Relaxing Waterside
I am not fishing but I am definitely relaxing today. This card is made with the Relaxing Waterside stamp set and the coordinating paper Waterside Retreat.
This is a super simple card to send to just about anyone!! Particularly if they are a fisher-person. I chose to fussy cut a fishing vest but thee are many other designs in the designer seire paper that you could choose. Other than that the paper does most of the work for you!
Today is going to be a baseball watching, reading, stitching kind of day. I should be getting ready for my garage sale next week but that will happen starting tomorrow. One more day of relaxing before the hustle and bustle begins again.

Happy 4th of July!!
Happy 4th of July!! As I told my friend, Luetta, when we were watching the parade this mornng. . . I love the 4th of July!!
I cased this card from my friend, Peggy, who is one of the Stamping Sisters. I love the butterflies that are flying so free . . . a great representation of the freedoms we enjoy in our country.
The weather for the parade was perfect this morning. Not too hot and not too cold and the rain had stopped before the beginning of it. I think it might be the most perfect the weather has been in all of my years of watching this parade.
I love opening my yard and driveway to friends to also watch the parade. No kids this year, but there was still no shortage of candy thrown our way!
I am ending the day by watching the fireworks from my driveway!!

Painted Stripes
It is no secret that I love the 4th of July!! And the red, white, and blue color combination. So of course I had to make some cards to celebrate!! This is one of the cards I made last year and I had to share it again today!! These are retired stamp sets and I kind of wish I would have kept them!!
I love the way this card turned out. The Painted Stripes stamp set really makes the perfect flag. The stripes look like the flag blowing in the wind to me. I did use a retired star punch as I didn't want to get my die cut machine out. It was much easier!! I used Secret Sea as my base but it is really dark. Maybe Night of Navy or Blueberry Bushel would have been a better choice. What do you think?

Words and Wishes
Today's card is one I made a while back at a demo event in Illinois. This birthday set has some awesome sentiments and and images for celebrating birthdays.
This striped designer series paper is the perfect celebratory paper for a birthday. I fussy cut the presents and the cake, although there is a die to die cut the cake if you wish. Otherwise this is a pretty simple card to mass produce if you would want to.
Tomorrow my friend, Joan, and I are going on a road trip to a huge quilt and fabric store in Missouri. We were going to go to a stitchng shop on the way home but it is closed until after the 4th of July for family vacations. I guess that just means we will need to go on another road trip later this summer.

Wild Bunch
I have not fallen on the face of the earth but I certainly have not been a member of the Wild Bunch. This card was one of the cards everyone made at Make-It-Monday this week. It uses the product of the Month for June.
I useed one of my favorite layouts when making this card. It also uses the 2026-2028 In Color Designer Paper as well as 2026-2028 In Color Dots. The snail is colored with the Crisp Cantaloupe Shimmer Pen. I love the way it turned out.
Needless to say I have not been posting much or for that matter doing much at all. My tooth extraction took way more out of me that I thought it would. Resting is about all I have been doing. I am hoping it gets better soon!!
