Hello, Friend

A couple of weeks ago Hanna and I spent the day stamping with our friend, Susie.  When we came home we took several of the layouts she used and reworked them with different stamp sets and colors.  This card, that everyone stamping with me tonight at Godfather's will be making, is one of them.  I love the combination of Baked Brown Sugar and Crisp Cantaloupe.

Stamps:  Peachy Keen, Five !ay Flower
Cardstock:  Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White
Ink:  Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe
Accessories:  Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Big Shot,
1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, 2 1/2" Circle Punch,
3/8" Crisp Cantaloupe Ruffle Stretch Trim, Large Rhinestone Basic Jewels,
Stampin Dimensionals

This weekend was spent browsing through antique and second hand stores.  We picked up some great items that we will be using to create some fantastic stamping projects.  Stay tuned, cause you won't want to miss out on taking a $1 item and making it into something fantastic!!!

Today is the last day of Sale-a-Bration, so if you want to take advantage of the free stamping products, be sure you email me your order by tonight.  I will be placing one last order tonight after stamp class.

Have a great day!!

Sympathy and Prayers

Here is one of the cards everyone made at the last stamping night.  I saw one like this somewhere in my browsing of the websites, but can't remember where. This would make a great guy birthday card as well, by just changing out the sentiment.

Stamps:  Hardwood Background Stamp, Serene Silhouettes, Petite Pairs
Card stock:  Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Ink:  Crumb Cake, early Espresso and Gumball Green Markers
Accessories: Scalloped Tag Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch,  Natural 5/8" Chevron Ribbon, Linen Thread, Stampin Dimensionals

It has been very quiet and uneventful around the Wilson household.   Uneventful is good as far as I am concerned.  Hanna and I have been busy finishing up scrapbooks and other projects that were started a long time ago.  It feels good to get some of those things finished before moving on to other things.

Have a great day!!

A Taste of Spring

Wow . . . the last couple of days have been awesome!  I am lovin' the warmer temperatures and the no snow in the yard.  Makes me think spring is around the corner and maybe we will see some of these butterflies soon.

The Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper that is part of the Sale-a-Bration catalog this year is absolutely awesome.  I definitely need to use it more!!!

This is one of the cards everybody will be making at stamp night to night at Godfather's.

Hanna has her first interview for a teaching job this morning so I am anxiously awaiting a phone call from her to let me know how it went.  I have no doubt she will get a job, just anxious to know where.

Have a great day and enjoy the warmer temperatures!!!

Happy Easter

Wow!!!  Is it ever nice to see the sun and have a little warmer temperatures!!!  As I sit here typing the birds are singing, which gives me hope that spring is just around the corner.  With spring, it must be Easter.  I love this single stamp from the Occasions catalog.  In fact . . . I bought two of them . . . one to leave mounted as it is and the other one to cut apart so I have the tulips and then the saying on the other side.

Stamps:  Blessed Easter
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Daffodil Delight
Ink:  Black Stazon, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive
Accessories:  Oval Framelit Collection, Big Shot, Blender Pen,
Daffodil Delight Seam Binding, Stampin' Dimensionals

It has been pretty low key here at home.  Hanna has either been in Pella or substitute teaching, so other than a weekend in  Minneapolis, I have been in my stamping room, finishing up cards that have already been cut for classes and not used.  I have one more small stack that I plan on finishing today.  Then I will start figuring out what to do Monday night.

Have a great day and enjoy the sunshine!!
