Six Sayings

Here is another card that everyone stamping this week made.

You might ask why my leaves have holes in the top.  They happened to be the extra leaves from the Witches' Hat kit that were laying only stamping table when I was making this card.  People stamping it this week used the dies and cut out leaves with no holes.

Stamps:  Six Sayings
Cardstock:  Early Espresso, Whisper White,
Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack
Ink:  Early Espresso
Accessories:  Leaflits Framelits Dies, Woodgrain Embossing Folder,
Big Shot, Stamping Sponges,
Gold Cording, Stampin' Dimensionals

Today is house picking up day….I need to at least get a path through and clean off the kitchen table so that a couple of people can at least stamp at it tonight!!  LOL

Other than that there is not much on my agenda.  I love days like this!!

Cheer All Year

This is one of the cards that everybody made last night at Make-It-Monday.  I think it was a favorite.

I decided to try one of the many card sketches out there as inspiration for this card.  This one came from a site called Mojo Monday.  Here is the sketch.

And here is the card . . . voila!!  Super simple!!  As I was making this card I couldn't help but think of both of my daughters who have a huge aversion to spiders and wondered if it would bother any of my stampers.  Even though many said they did not like spiders the card didn't seem to bother them at all!!

Stamps:  Cheer All Year, Acorny Thank You, Witches; Night
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Tangelo Twist, Whisper White
Ink:  Archival Black Ink
Accessories:  1" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

This morning is a Hospice volunteer morning, after which I plan to run a few errands.  I hope to figure out what techniques we will be working with for Technique Club this afternoon.  I have one in mind and need to see if it will work and then figure out a second one.  Check back Thursday and Friday to see what I manage to come up with.

 Lighthearted Leaves

This is a card that everyone stamping this week will get to make.   I hope everyone likes it as much as I do!!

It is really so much prettier in real person than in the photo.  The gold embossing just really pops on the dark brown card stock!!

Stamps:  Lighthearted Leaves
Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Early Espresso
Ink:  Versamark
Accessories:  Boho Chic Embossing Folder,
Leaflets Framelits Dies, Deco Labels Collection Framelits,
Big Shot, Gold Embossing Powder,
Heat Tool, Gold Cording, Stampin' Dimensionals

Everything is cut, gathered, and organized for Make-It-Monday tonight.  All I need to do is load the car.  So, today I am going to be working on some things for a craft show again this Saturday.  I hope to get a couple more framed samplers done before the weekend.

Hawkeye Sampler

Here is the project I have been working on this week that I took the the Hawkeye game on Saturday for each of my brothers.  No . . . these are not Stampin' Up! stamps, but the ink and the card stock are.

I have had these stamps for several years and have wanted to try a Hawkeye sampler for quite a while.  When my brother asked me if I wanted to go to the game on Saturday I thought it was a great time to do it.  I am pretty pleased with the way it turned out.

Here are a few pictures of the great day we had yesterday.

Today I need to get everything cut and organized for tomorrow night's Make-It-Monday.  The cards are ready, just not the cutting and gathering of supplies.  If you would like to join us just shoot me an email!!

Witches' Night

Here is another one of the cards that every one made last Monday night at the Witches' Hat class.  I absolutely love this stamp set.

I would be hard pressed to say which of the cards is my favorite.  I do know that I will be sending out a lot of Halloween cards this year as I am loving making these!!

Stamps:  Witches' Night

Memento Black Ink, Tangelo Twist marker

By the time you are reading this I will have been tailgating at the Hawkeye game for quite a while.  I am meeting one of my brothers early early this morning and spending the day with both of my brothers and my sister-in-law.  I think it should be a beautiful day for tailgating and a Hawkeye game.  Stay tuned tomorrow to see what I have made that I am giving them today!!

September Paper Pumpkin

Here is one of the cards I made with the stamps that are in the September Paper Pumpkin.

As I look at the photo of the card I see that I should have moved the upper right section of the stamped images up a little bit, but all in all I am pretty pleased with this card.  Perfect colors for fall!!

Stamps:  September Paper  Pumpkin, Watercolor Wishes Kit
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla
Ink:  Soft Suede, Hello Honey, Cajun Craze

I am hoping to be able to get everything figured out for next week's stamp nights today.  I was right in the middle of a good mystery book last night so was up VERY late reading and am not sure how long my energy will last!!  But it was an awesome book!!

September Paper Pumpkin

My September Paper Pumpkin was at the Post Office when I went to pick up the mail the other day.  I have been waiting for this kit to come since I first saw it at convention.  It is pretty awesome!!

I am not exactly sure who I am going to give these treat holders to, but anyone would love to get one, I would think.

Just like with any of the other Paper Pumpkin kits, you always get everything you need to make the projects.  This is the stamp set that was in the box this time.

Be sure and check back tomorrow to see some of the cards I made with this set.

Today started out bright and early with a furnace check at 8:00 and then running to Iowa City to get groceries and run some other errands.  By the time I got home and got lunch fixed and worked in my stamp room a little bit, the day was half gone.  I then realized that I had forgotten to post today!!

Acorny Thank You

Taking a break from the Witches' Night cards, here is another one that everybody got to make at the last stamp night.   Once again, it was Pinterest to the rescue.

I love the Woodland folder and have used it tons!!!  I always think they can't any better and then they do!!

Witches' Night

Everyone had a great time making the Witch Hat and the five cards.  Most people just stamped their cards and took them home to assemble them cause we were pushing it to get the hats done in a timely fashion.

This card was a favorite which I totally cased from Becky Roberts' blog.  I follow her blog and she always has very cool stuff on there.

Stamp:  Witches' Night
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Tangelo Twist, Very Vanilla,
Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper
Ink"  Memento Black Ink, Tangelo Twist Marker
Accessories:  Woodland Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Stampin' Dimensionals

Today I am planning on finishing up Hanna's banners and birthday cards and I hope to start on my Project Life Scrapbook from my Maine trip last month.  I am a huge NCIS fan so I know I want to have everything done that I want to do by this evening so I can watch the season premiere!!

Witches' Night

Here is another Halloween card stampers can choose from tonight at the Witch's Hat class.  I really had fun making a wide variety of cards.

I will be showing the rest of them this week.

Stamps:  Witches' Night
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Very Vanills
Ink:  Memento Black Ink
Accessories:  Witching Decor Kit, Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday afternoon I was able to complete the banners for the new teachers at Hanna's school.  As many of those things as I have made I think I could do them in my sleep.  I will say it was much easier to adhere the letters with the new fine tip glue pen . . . my new best friend!!  Now I just have to get the birthday cards done for the kids in her advisory class.

Today will be spent in Iowa City, going out to lunch with a friend, having a couple of appointments, and finishing up the evening at the Witch's Hat class at Carlos O'Kellys.  Should be a very busy day but a fun one.

Witches' Night

Yesterday I was able to make several Halloween cards from this stamp set. The people attending the Witches' Hat class will be able to choose five of them to make along with the hat.

Here is one of the options.  Again, Pinterest was a wealth of inspiration!!!

Stamps:  Witches Night
Cardstock:  Tangelo Twist, Basic Black, Very Vanilla,
Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Memento Black Ink
Accessories:  Lots of Labels Framelits, Big Shot,
Basic Black 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, Basic Pearl Jewels,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Last evening we were suppose to go to Kent Park for a picnic supper with our daughter and son-in-law, but John was not feeling well so we stayed home. That was bad new and good news.  The good news is that I then got to watch the Hawkeye game . . . and what a game it was!!!  From the opening swarm to the last second field goal . . . excitement all the way!!  Let's hope it continues throughout the whole season!!

Your Presents

I love when you can take a stamp set and use it for a holiday or idea for which is was not intended.  While this set is predominantly a Christmas set, it make a great birthday card as well!

This is another card that everyone got to make last week.  The only bad thing about this card is all of the fussy cutting around the presents.

Stamps:  Your Presents, Guy Greetings
Cardstock:  Thick Whisper White, Whisper White,
Color Me Irresistible Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Marina Mist, Cucumber Crush
Accessories:  Cherry On Top Designer Washi Tape,
Stampin' Sponge, Silver Cording, Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday was a great day to stay inside and get a lot of things finished up.  I got all of the extra cards made up from Monday night's class and even got things put away again in my stamp room.  Besides watching football today, I hope to figure out what Halloween cards we are making Monday night with the Witch Hat class and then we are going out to where our daughter and son-in-law are camped to have supper with them.  This looks to be an excellent weekend for camping now that the rain of last night is over.

Serene Silhouettes

I FINALLY got my order of sympathy and get well cards done yesterday and delivered.  It seems like it took me forever to get them done!!!  Here is another one that was in the order.

For some reason the colors are kind of washed out in the photo, in person they are much more vibrant.

Stamps:  Serene Silhouttes, Wetlands, You've Got This
Cardstock:  Perfect Plum, Very Vanilla
Ink:  Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum
Accessories:  Basic Pearl Jewels

The next few days are going to be quiet, quiet, quiet around here.  There is nothing on the schedule and nothing that really needs to be done.  I am planning on stamping up the rest of the kits from last Monday and maybe starting to plan my Christmas card class.  I am sure reading is going to be high on the list as well.  That might be a good thing to do on a rainy Friday!!

Papillion Potpourri

Last night I had my monthly stamp night with a group of stampers.  We all take the supplies and have a shoebox swap. This is the card I took.

I had to laugh when one of the gals said to me "You really like this white on white, don't you?"  If she had seen my cards a few years ago she would never have said that.  It is only since Hanna started going to convention with me and giving her input that I would ever even consider it.  It is one of Hanna's favorites and obviously it must be growing on me because I never realized how often I use white on white!!

Stamps:  Papillion Potpourri, Butterfly Basics
Cardstock:  Thick Whisper White, Whisper White,
Melon Mambo, Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight,
Pear Pizzazz, Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry
Ink:  Archival Basic Black
Accessories:  Elegant Butterfly Punch,
Envelope Punch Board (for rounded corners), Glue Dots

As soon as I am done posting this I am out the door for my yearly physical (yippee!!).  It is a good thing I really like my doctor.  I hope to spend some time in my stamping room before getting my hair cut this afternoon and then going to a potluck for a community group I am a member of.  At some point I need to get some banners done for Hanna and also birthday cards for her group of advisory kids.  Hopefully this weekend!!

Heartfelt Sympathy

Thanks to Pinterest again here is another sympathy card.

Once I started working with this set it is definitely growing on me. It is truly one of those sets where you don't need to add much more to have a pretty awesome card.

Stamps:  Heartfelt Sympathy
Cardstock:  Soft Suede, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack
Ink:  Soft Suede
Accessories:  Circles Framelits, Big Shot, Neutrals Candy Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

After the sale this weekend the lady that had a booth across from me asked if I could use some more card racks.  She had a small gift shop that had closed and she no longer needed them.  Of course I said yes, so as soon as I am done posting this I am off to pick them up.  Not sure where I am going to store them, but at least I will have them if I need them!!!  Hope to get some stamping done after that!!

Lighthearted Leaves

Every one stamping last night made one of these Lightheated Leaves cards.  I saw one like this on Pinterest made with black and gray and switched out the colors to more fall like.

I love the way it turned out.  It would be so easy to switch out the greeting and make it for just about any occasion.

Stamps:  Light-Hearted leaves
Cardstock:  Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake
Ink:  Soft Suede
Accessories:  Leaflets Framelits, Big Shot,
Home For Christmas Enamel Dots,  Stampin' Dimensionals

Today is normally my Hospice volunteering day, but Judy is on vacation so I am staying home this morning and addressing envelopes for their big fund raiser that is coming up in November. After delivering some stamping orders and going to an appointment this afternoon, I hope to spend some time in my stamping room this evening getting everything put away and organized again from the craft show this weekend and Make-It-Monday last night.  I am lovin' the weather again, so may sit on my patio and read a little as well!!

Acorny Thank You

I love the name of this stamp set almost as much as I love the set.  It is perfect for fall.

This is one of the cards everyone will be making tonight at Make-It-Monday.  Very easy and great for all occasions.

Stamps:  Acorny Thank You
Cardstock:  Early Espresso, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White,
Into The Woods Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Early Espresso, Tangelo Twist
Accessories:  Softy Falling Embossing Folder, Big Shot,
2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, 2" Circle Punch,
Acorn Builder Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

I am not quite sure how this happened, but I got everything all figured out, cut, and organized for Make-It-Monday yesterday.  I even had time to go to Red Lobster for supper!!  Things just seemed to fall into place quite easily.  If you would like to join me just shoot me an email as I cut plenty of extra!!

Today I am going to try to finish up my order of Sympathy and Get Well cards so I can get started on another order of Thinking of You cards.

 Heartfelt Sympathy

At first, I wasn't too sure about the new sympathy set that is in the 2015-16 Idea Book and Catalog, but since I was in need of a sympathy set I went ahead and ordered it.  Now as with a lot of sets, the more I work with it, the more I really like it!!

This is another one of the cards in a special order of sympathy cards.  Since these are to be gender neutral cards, this set certainly fits the bill.

Stamps:  Heartfelt Sympathy
Cardstock:  Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizazz, Whisper White
Ink:  Mossy Meadow
Accessories:  Woodgrain Embossing Folder,
 Deco Labels Collection Framelits Dies,
Big Shot, Stampin Dimensionals

I am beat . . . the event at The Barn was a HUGE success over the weekend.  I certainly enjoyed visiting with everyone.  The weather was great and there were tons of people there.

This was my view for the two days I was there.  I took this picture early in the morning when I first got there yesterday, because for most of the time I couldn't even see the booths on the other side of the aisle because there were so many people there.

I thought I would include a couple of shots of my tables.

Now on to the next thing on my calendar . . . Make-It-Monday . . . tomorrow night.  I need to plan the cards and get everything cut and ready to go.  Good thing I slept 12 hours last night!!

Awesomely Artistic

Once again, Awesomely Artistic found its way to my stamping table.  Someone had a card on Pinterest similar to this made with another company's stamps.  I loved the design and it was so easy to substitute Stampin' Up!'s stamps.

This is another one of the cards that is for a special order of sympathy cards.  I went ahead and made several because like I have said before . . . sympathy cards are something I have to have on hand because I just can't seem to make one when I need it.

Stamps:  Awesomely Artistic, Heartfelt Sympathy, Crazy About You
Cardstock:  Whisper White Thick, Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink:  Tempting Turquoise, Perfect Plum, Archival Black Ink
Accessories:  Srampin' Sponges, Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday's Barn event was just about perfect . . . good weather (although a little chilly), good crowds, good sales, and great food.  I am ready for another day, and the best part is I will be home in time to see most of the Hawkeye game this afternoon.  If you come out to The Barn, be sure and stop and see me!!

A Halloween Sampler

After seeing my stamping friend, Susie's, sampler and knowing I wanted to try it, last night was the night.

Of course, wouldn't you know it . . . I had no 12 X 12 black card stock, so I decided to use a piece of retired Designer Series Paper as my last layer.

I really like the way this turned out.  Thanks, Susie, for the inspiration and ideas for some of the squares.  When I showed John, he even thought it was pretty cool.

As soon as I am done posting this I need to get my car loaded for the Flea and Faire at the Barn today and tomorrow.  This will be the third time I have done this show and the other two times it rained buckets.  Not so this time . . . I think the weather will be perfect.  If you stop out, be sure and see me.

Awesomely Artistic

Back again with another Awesomely Artistic card.  This one popped out at me as I was browsing Pinterest yesterday afternoon.  I am not sure who to credit with the original card.

It is hard to tell but the right wings on the dragonfly on the right are popped up off of the Delightful Dijon paper.  it took a little fussy cutting and some precision work with my paper cutter, but I love the effect.

Stamps:  Awesomely Artistic, One Big Meaning
Cardstock:  Basic Gray, Delightful Dijon, Whisper White
Ink:  Archival Basic Gray, Archival Basic Black, Delightful Dijon
Accessories:  1 1/2" Circle Punch (mask for sun) Stampin Sponges

I am hoping today I can get a lot more things ready for the Flea and Faire.  You can check it out here or here.  I got quite a bit accomplished yesterday and hope to get even more done today.  There is absolutely nothing on my agenda for today and tomorrow other than this.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been giver today!!
