Six Sayings

Here is an easy card that everyone made last Monday night, but one that is perfect for today!!

Six Sayings has to be one of the best hostess sets they have had for a while.

Stamps:  Six Sayings
Cardstock:  Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Very Vanilla,
Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Archival Black Ink, Pumpkin Pie Marker

Last night's dinner was interesting to say the least.  It included great food and great company.

It also included a water bath, when the waiter dumped a whole glass of ice water in John's lap and a slight run in with a deer on the way home.  All in all we are all good.  It was only water . . . not hot, not sticky, and the car . . . well it only has a couple of small dents in the hood.  Life is good!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Have a Fa-Boo-lous Day!!  Happy Stamping!!

Kinda Eclectic

This stamp set which we got at convention a couple of years ago is still a favorite of everyone.  This is one of the cards everyone made featuring a stamp set in the regular catalog.

I have always loved the combination of Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive.  I think Elegant Eggplant and Garden Green rank right up there as well.

Stamps:  Kind Eclectic, Flower Shop, Petite Petals
Cardstock:  Elegant Eggplant, Very Vanilla
Ink:  Elegant Eggplant, Crushed Curry, Garden Green
Accessories:  Pansy Punch, Pearl Basic Jewels, Stampin' Dimensionals

On the agenda for today is to get three birthday cards and one anniversary card designed and made for the kids.  Hanna is coming home tonight and we are going out to eat to celebrate all of their birthdays and an anniversary. There were birthdays on the 16th, 18th, 22nd, and throw in an anniversary on the 20th and we have everything celebrated!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Winter Wishes

This is another one of the cards everyone made last Monday night. It could be a Christmas card or it could be just a winter note card.

I have a ton of Silver glimmer and Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper so I decided it was time to quit hoarding it and to use it!!

Stamps:  Winter Wishes
Cardstock:  Real Red, Whisper White, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper
Ink:  Mossy Meadow, Real Red, Soft Suede

As soon as I am done posting this I am out the door for a volunteer morning at Hospice.  I am helping at a very early morning reception of some sort.  I am thinking that a nap sounds good this afternoon.  Although I am a morning person, 5:00 came very early today!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Wild About Flowers

Even though we are heading into the holiday season, I don't want to forget about all of the great stamp sets that are in the regular catalog, so I am going to try and include at least two of them in all Make-It-Monday night classes.

This is one of them we made last Monday.  The sentiment from You've Got This is absolutely one of my favorites!!

Stamps:  Wild About Flowers, You've Got This
Cardstock:  Mont Macaron, Whisper White, In Color Envelope Paper
Ink:  Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder, Archival Black Ink
Accessories:  Elegant Dots Embossing Folder, Lots of Labels Framelits,
Big Shot, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Stampin' Dimensionals

I had a great time out for lunch with a friend yesterday and even have some of my Olive Garden Mac' N' Cheese left for lunch today.  John has an appointment late this afternoon so I think today is going to be a lazy day and I am going to curl up with a good book until we need to leave.  I may even try to convince him to grab some supper on the way home so I can get back to my book!!

Everyday is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Lighthearted Leaves

Here is the card I took to my monthly shoe box swap last week.  This maple leaf from this set is fast becoming my new favorite stamp.  I guess really should try some of the other stamps in this set.  I am sure I would become equally fond of them!!

This was my first use of the new corner punch that is in the Holiday catalog.  I don't know why it took me so long to use it.  It will certainly be seeing more use in the near future.

Stamps:  Lighthearted Leaves
Cardstock:  Delightful Dijon, Cajun Craze, Whisper White
Ink:  Tip Top Taupe, Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon
Accessories:  Sponge Daubers, Curvy Corner Trio Punch, Regals Candy Dots

As soon as I am done posting this I am off to a hair appointment and then to Iowa City to take a friend to an appointment.  My favorite clothing store is having a 40% off sale on everything in the store so I see a trip there before coming home  . . . not that I need anything . . . but it never hurts to look!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Six Sayings

Since retiring I obviously have much more time to blog surf.  I found this card on Mary Fish's website and knew I had to case it for my Christmas card class.

Stampers could choose whichever of the cards they wanted to make.

I would be hard pressed to say which one I liked the best!!  Very simple to make, yet very elegant!!

Stamps:  Six Sayings
Cardstock:  Whisper White Thick, Red Foil, Whisper White
Ink:  Real Red
Accessories:  Delicate Ornament Thinlit Dies, Big Shot, Glue Dots

Yesterday went very well and I think everyone was happy with their 30 Christmas cards.  I had things all picked up and back to normal by about 5:00. We even had our daughter and her husband over for supper because I had so much food left over.  We were more interested in stamping than eating yesterday, I guess.

Today I will be cutting card stock and getting ready for Make-It-Monday tomorrow night.  Good thing I cleaned up my stamp room the other day so I can at least find everything I need and I have a nice big table to work on!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Embellished Ornaments

Today's card is totally cased from Christy Kimball and our Door County trip.  I watched her put together 100 similar cards as we were driving there and back and decided that I needed to make some!!  This was also one of her swaps.

This is one of the cards everybody will be making tomorrow!

Ink:  Night of Navy
Accessories:  Delicate Ornament Thinlit Dies, Elegant Dots Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Night of Navy Seam Binding, Extra Large Oval Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

The really weird thing is that I put together this stamp set yesterday, and when I went to use one of the sentiments in it, the stamp had disappeared!!  Now I know I had it about 10 minutes earlier, but I could not find it anywhere!!  I even went through the trash!!  I am hoping it turns up somewhere in the next couple of days!!

Off I go to the grocery store to get food for tomorrow!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Every Blessing

This is one of the cards that I got as a swap at convention in July.  As stampers were looking through my swaps several of them said "If you do a Christmas card class do this card, just like this."  So that is what I am doing.  Everybody that is coming Saturday will get to make this card.

Your embossing buddy is a MUST with this card so that you get a crisp image without stray gold flecks on your card!!

Stamps:  Every Blessing
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Typeset Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Versamark
Accessories:  Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Envelope Punch Board (For rounding corners)

There have been no blog posts for a couple of days because I was spending every spare moment that I had making muffin tin covers  for an advent calendar order that I had.  After making 20 sets in the last two days, I KNOW I can do them in my sleep.

Today is my Hospice volunteer morning and then I will be in my stamp room cutting card stock for my Christmas card class this Saturday.  I am excited about sharing all of the ideas with you in the next few days!!

Garden In Bloom

I was tasked with making program books and welcome cards for a community group of which I am a member.

Our colors are blue and white, so I thought this would make a perfect program cover.

We are always looking for new members and are going to send out cards inviting people to our next meeting so they can see what we are all about.

I love when I can share my love of stamping and my cards with people that wouldn't usually stamp or craft.
