November Paper Pumpkin

Here is the second half of the November Paper Pumpkin.

I don't normally order the refill kits for these, but seriously, these are so awesome this month, that I just might have to!!

The supplies to create all ten cards comes in the kit.  What a deal!! I love the Cherry Cobbler envelopes this month as well!!

There is absolutely nothing on my schedule that has to be done today.  And I don't even have to feel guilty about the house being a mess, because it was cleaned for Thanksgiving and then again when we put the Christmas decorations up.  A pot of turkey noodle soup was made yesterday and John always says it is better the second day so supper is made as well.

What else to do but spend the day in the stamping room!!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

 November Paper Pumpkin

I am getting a VERY slow start to my day today after the whirlwind of activity for the last couple of weeks.  When I went to do my post this morning I realized I had NO new cards to show.  So what did I do but go to my trusty November Paper Pumpkin kit.

I love the way this card turned out with the Cherry Cobbler pearls that were provided with the kit.

There were enough supplies in the kit to make these five cards and the five cards I will show you tomorrow.

The rest of the day (what is left of it) will be spent working on a special order of 160 Christmas cards.  I hope to have them done by mid-week so then I can start on my own Christmas cards.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Among the Branches

Here is another one the cards everyone made last week when they stamped.  I think this is one of my favorite sets in the Holiday catalog and I know this folder is one of my favorites.  Too bad that neither of them is being carried over!!

I do know that the Woodland Folder is selling quickly and they are available only while supplies last so if you want one you better get it soon!!

Cardstock:  Soft Sky, Whisper White
Ink:  Soft Sky
Accessories:  Woodland Textured Folder, Big Shot,
2" Circle Punch, Silver Cording Trim, Basic Rhinestone Jewels,

Hanna and I started early yesterday and got all of John and my closets switched out so we are now ready for winter.  We also got the Christmas tree put up and all of the decorations out.  AND . . . it was in time so we could watch the Hawkeye football game.  It was an awesome game!!  Go Hawks!!

We are on our way to breakfast this morning and then a quick trip to Iowa City to pick up some things we did not get the other night. Hanna is then heading home to Adel, and I am going to visit my friend, Judy, in the hospital.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Black Friday Play Book

How many people do you know that make a Project Life scrapbook for Black Friday shopping?

Hanna has always had a game plan for our shopping trip but this year she took it to a new level.

It sort of just evolved into an actual scrapbook.  It is amazing what can happen when you start to look around your craft room and see what all is in there.   I taught her well!!!

We always start out trip at Michaels and this year was no exception.

Because she had everything so organized and we knew exactly what we were looking for, we were in and out of each store with time to spare before the next one opened.

Hanna has wanted a new camera for a while now and Target had an awesome one on sale.  We were lucky enough to be there at the right time and get the only one they had in the Coralville store.

Since we had some extra time we had to stop along the way and take some selfless.

Hanna was waiting for Santa but he must have eaten too much turkey and was a little late!!

Today we will be putting up all of our Christmas decorations while she is still at home.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Butterfly Basics

I know . . . butterflies are not really in season right now but I wanted to use the framelits at stamp night since they are on sale this week.

I don't think anybody minded making a butterfly card . . . some turned it into a wedding card and others turned it into a thank you card . . . it turned out to be very versatile!!

Stamps:  Butterfly Basics
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Archival Black Ink
Accessories:  Butterflies Thinlits, Big Shot, Venetian Crocket Trim, Banner Triple Punch, Basic Pearl Jewels, Glue Dots

Hanna will be on her way home today and we are meeting up in Iowa City to start our shopping weekend.  The house is cleaned and groceries bought for dinner tomorrow, so today can just be a fun day.

This sums up my feelings almost every day but particularly today!!

Believe me . . . Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Guy Greetings

Another successful stamp night and here is one of the regular catalog cards that everyone got to make this week.

This old car makes such a neat guy card.  I know I have used it a lot . . . probably more than any of the other stamps in that set.

Stamps:  Guy Greetings
Cardstock:  Whisper White Thick, Tip Top Taupe,
Whisper White, Basic Black, Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack
Ink:  Archival Black Ink
Accessories:  Zig Zag Embossing Folder, Big Shot,
Triple Banner Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

Today is my volunteer day at Hospice and a trip to a different grocery store to get the two things I could not find last night . . . celery and bread crumbs to make dressing.  Two things that are essential for Thanksgiving dinner in my opinion.  Can't believe they didn't have them . . . not that they were out . . . but I could not even find a place on the shelf where they should have been!! Then it is home to finish cleaning, and get ready for Thanksgiving.  I want to have all of that done before tomorrow so I can meet Hanna in Iowa City and we can start our weekend of what we do best . . . shop!!

Lovely Amazing You

This photopolymer set is one that came out last February and I love it.  The sentiments are awesome and the font is fantastic.

This is one of the sets that is on sale during the On-Line Extravaganza.  I have paired it here with Gorgeous Grunge and I think they make a lovely couple!!

Stamps:  Lovely Amazing You, Gorgeous Grunge
Cardstock:  Very Vanilla
Ink:  Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip, Hello Honey, Bermuda Bay
Accessories:  Gold Sequin Trim, Glue Dots

My Corridor Arts and Crafts show went VERY well yesterday.  The facility was amazing and the crowd was great.  Here are a few pictures.

They had this awesome barn board piece that they were going to try and hide away, but I told them not to bother . . . it would make a great display for cards.

What do you do with extra counter space . . . you place cards on them, of course.  The Palmer House Stable Art & Event Center is an awesome facility. You can check it out here.  Next time I might request a ground floor space though!!  I am getting too old to be lugging stuff up and down stairs.  Luckily there were some very nice young girls that helped me carry everything down when the show was over!!

I actually have everything ready for class tonight so today is going to be a day of rest!!

I was a football junkie again yesterday starting with all of the pre-game shows, and watched my Hawkeyes and then Ohio State.  I decided early evening that I really needed to get some stamping done so went to my room and at least got everything cut and bagged for tomorrow night.

By the time most of you read this I will be well on my way to Solon to the Corridor Arts and Crafts Gala.  If you are in the Solon area be sure and stop and see me.  I will be there till 2:00 this afternoon.

Vintage Leaves

This card which I received as a swap at our demonstrator meeting a couple of months ago was a huge hit with my stampers.  There was not a name on the back and for the life of me I don't know and can't remember who brought it. At least I think that is where it came from.

This is such a great color combination!!

Stamps:  Big News, Vintage Leaves, Gorgeous Grunge
Cardstock:  Early Espresso, Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla
Ink:  Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz, Crumb cake
Accessories:  Leaflets Framelits Dies, Woodgrain Embossing Folder,
Big Shot, Mossy Meadow 5/8" Striped Cotton Ribbon,
Stampin' Dimensionals

My craft event for today got cancelled because of the weather.  That is actually all right with me because now I can watch the Hawkeye game.  I come from a diehard Hawkeye family as you can tell by this tailgating picture from one of my brothers.

Fry Box

Last year I wanted to make some of these Santas made from the fry box die but just didn't have the time.  This year I did.  This one does use quite a bit of retired product, but I think they did come out really cute.  I have several of them made for the craft event tomorrow which has now been cancelled. Hopefully they will sell at my other two events.  I am actually glad the event got cancelled because now I can watch the Hawks.  Both of my brothers, sister-in-law and nephew are traveling to Iowa City tonight so they will already be here for the game tomorrow.  I can rest easy knowing that they won't be traveling in the middle of a winter storm.

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert and light show last night was absolutely awesome.  They played for about 2 hours and 15 minutes straight.  I can definitely say I like their Christmas music better than their regular songs and I know my hearing is just fine because it was VERY loud.   Here are a couple of pictures that Hanna was able to take.

Today would have been my mom's 86th birthday.  My nephew posted this picture on Facebook this morning.  I am not sure who originally took it but it I love it.  My mom loved Tootsie Rolls and whenever any of the grandkids were at a parade where candy was thrown they always gave the Tootsie Rolls to her. Happy Birthday, Mom!!

As soon as I am done posting this I am out the door and headed to Des Moines. I am spending the day with my sister-in-law, while Hanna is in school and then Hanna and I have tickets to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra tonight.  I will head home tomorrow morning and hope to beat the snow.  I am also taking my computer in to be looked at so hope to have it back by morning.

Happy Birthday, Everyone

Here is another easy birthday card everyone stamping last week got to make.

Change up the card stock colors and the embellishment and you have a great guy card as well.

Stamps: Happy Birthday, Everyone, Bohemian Borders
Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Ink:  Early Espresso, Rich Razzleberry, Pink Pirouette
Accessories:  Iced Rhinestone Embellishements

As I sit here and watch the wind blow and the rain come down I am very thankful it isn't snow!!  I know there have been times when there was snow on the ground for Thanksgiving . . . I just hope this isn't one of those years.

I think my crafting for the shows this weekend is done.  Now to get everything packaged up and packed in a way that is easy for me to carry around is on the agenda for today.

Tonight is my monthly shoebox swap night with the Paper Pals.  I will stop and see my friend, Judy, in the hospital on my way.

Flurry of Wishes

My crafting for the two shows this weekend continued yesterday.  I have found that anything that has candy in it seems to sell well.

These were really very easy to make and have one of my favorite candies in them . . . . peppermint patties.

Stamps:  Flurry of Wishes
Cardstock: Whisper White
Ink:  Pacific Point, Lost Lagoon, Marina Mist
Accessories:  Snow Flurry Punch, Basic Rhinestone Jewels

As soon as I am done posting this I am out the door to a hair appointment and then back to my craft room.  These dark dreary days need something to brighten them up and crafting is the ticket!!

Swallowtail

Today's card comes from another one that we made at a shoe box swap at a demonstrator meeting a couple of months ago.  I am sorry, but I don't remember who brought this one!!

Cardstock:  Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Whisper White,
English Garden Designer Series Paper

Today is going to be sent entirely in my stamping room.  I have absolutely no place I need to go and I have a lot of things I want to try and get done for my two craft shows this weekend.  Since it is such a rainy day sweats, coffee, and stamping seem like an awesome idea!!

 Christmas Favors

Yesterday I was in seventh heaven!!  I had my football on TV and my lap full of stamping projects!!  Here are some of the favors I made for an upcoming craft show.

I think these turned out really cute.   The  only problem was making sure John and I did not eat the chocolates before they got wrapped and put into the containers.

I hope other people like them as well because I certainly have a lot of them.  This is only a fraction of the ones I have made.

I actually had to stop crafting when the Hawkeyes were playing because I every time they had a good play, my supplies would go all over the floor.  A super problem to have, though!!  What an exciting game!!

Today I am going to visit a friend in the hospital and probably get my nails done.  I hope to be home mid-afternoon to continue my craft show crafting!!

Cheer All Year

Today's card, which everyone made this week, comes from a swap I received from my stamping friend, Dawn, a couple of months ago.

It was a favorite of everybody and very easy to make!!

Stamps:  Christmas Cheer
Cardstock:  Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
Ink:  Archival Black
Accessories:  Home For Christmas Enamel Dots, Snowflake Elements,
Season Of Cheer Designer Washi Tape, Glue Dots

I ended up spending the majority of yesterday in Iowa City, running errands and delivering stamp orders.  I did meet my brother and nephew for lunch and then we did some Christmas shopping as he likes to get Hawkeye stuff for his grandkids and what better place to do that than Iowa City.

Today I am off to Solon to check out the venue for next Sunday's craft show.  I am hoping I am home by mid-morning so I can spend the rest of the day in my stamping room before the Hawkeyes play tonight.  Go Hawks!!!

Timeless Love

I must have really liked this stamp set when I saw it because when I was looking on my shelf, I have two of them.  And NEITHER one of them had been used!! So I decided it was time for them to see some ink.  I found this card on Pinterest and it was so easy to do.

It would be an awesome card to send to that person who just needs a pick me up!!  Switch out the sentiment and you have the perfect wedding card!!

Stamps:  Timeless Love
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Very Vanilla,
Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Archival Black

Today looks to be a beautiful day now that the wind has subsided!!  I saw a friend's posting on Facebook this morning that showed some pictures of exactly a year ago today and we had snow on the ground!!  So glad the sun is shining and it is still green and pretty outside!!

I am meeting my brother and nephew for lunch after a medical appointment for him and hope to have some time to stamp this afternoon.  I have a ton of orders to get done so I hope my motivation holds out till I get home!!
