Label Me Pretty

Label Me Pretty is another one of those sets that I did not think I needed, until someone talked me into it.  (See . . . I am not that much different than you all!!).  I am certainly glad I purchased it as I have used it quite a bit and everybody seems to like it on Make-It-Mondays.

This is one of those cards that everyone made last Monday night.

Stamps: Label Me Pretty
Cardstock: Smoky Slate, Crushed Curry, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Color Theory
Ink: Smoky Slate, Basic Gray
Accessories: Pretty Label Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch,
3/8" Crushed Curry Ribbon, Rhinestone Basic Jewels,
Stampin' Dimensionals

I hardly knew what to do with myself yesterday . . . a friend called John and asked him to go fishing, so I was at home by myself.  That very rarely, if ever happens!!!  Not that I did anything different than I normally do . . . I spent the time in my stamp room working on different kinds of treat holders.  I finished them up watching the Cubs game as I have been doing the last several nights.

Tonight I am meeting some friends for supper, so probably won't watch the Cubs, but the afternoon will be spent stamping again!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Colorful Seasons

I knew right away when I saw this stamp and die set that I would love it and use it a lot!!  It is absolutely perfect for any time of the year.  This is one of the cards that my friend, Sally from Ohio, sent for our swap last Saturday.  I absolutely love it!!!

I think everybody stamping this week did too, if their comments and reactions when they saw it are anything to go by!!

Stamps: Colorful Seasons
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Old Olive,
Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango, Very Vanilla
Ink: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Big Shot,
Glitter Enamel Dots, Stampin Dimensionals

Yesterday was a full day of stamping, although some of it was done from the comfort of my recliner while watching the Cubs!!  After running a few errands this morning, I think I will probably be doing exactly the same thing again today.  It's nice to get the stamping all done and then I can assemble in front of the TV!!

Lemon Zest

I wasn't too sure that I really needed this stamp set, even though I loved the sentiments in it.  However, I finally broke down and purchased it and I am certainly glad I did.

This is one of the cards that everyone made last night.  I am sure you will see a lot more of it in the coming months.

It is an accordion fold card with the sentiment stamped on the middle panel!!  Life should indeed be lived with zest!!!

Stamps: Lemon Zest
Cardstock: Whisper White Thick, Garden Green,
Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Ink: Garden Green, Par Pizzazz
Accessories: Lots of Labels Framelits,
Layered Leaves Embossing Folder, Big Shot,
Lemon Builder Punch, White Perfect Accents,
3/8" Old Olive Mini Chevron Ribbon,
Stampin' Dimensionals, Glue Dots

We had such a big group last night that I have no leftover packets to stamp up today, so my day can be totally devoted to craft show items. I really want to get my 2018 calendars and my wine tags done, but I keep finding so many other cute treat orders, that those keep getting put on the back burner. However this is the week!! Believe it or not this is a totally free week with nothing else scheduled during the days.  I can hardly believe it!!!

Remarkable You

Someone asked me the other day what was my favorite thing about fall.  I had to answer it was the colors . . . browns, rusts, oranges, dark greens . . . whether in my clothes or my cards, it makes no difference . . . I just like these colors together!!

This is the perfect fall card to showcase these colors.  It is also one that everyone gets to make tonight at Make-It-Monday.

Stamps: Remarkable Butterfly Basics
Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper: Wood Textures
Ink: Early Espresso, Cajun Craze
Accessories: Aquapainter, Linen Thread, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

Not exactly sure how I managed it . . . but I had everything done and ready to go for tonight before the Cubs game came on yesterday.  Although with the way it turned out, I might as well have been stamping!!  With a relatively free day today until I leave for stamp night, I am going to continue working on craft show projects.  The only problem is, when I have more free time, I just come up with more ideas and things I want to make!!  Here's hoping to a good craft show season!!

Sorry For Everything

Today's card is one of the shoebox swaps brought by Luetta, that we made yesterday at a demonstrator get together.  With a quick change of sentiment this card could be for just about any fall occasions you might need a card for.

It is also one that everybody will be making Monday night at Make-It-Monday.

Stamps: Sorry For Everything, Daisy Delight
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Whisper White
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry
Accessories: Daisy Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch

Yesterday was a great time stamping and visiting with friends.  I have a ton of ideas using sets from the Holiday Catalog that will be available September 1st.

Today I need to get in gear and get everything cut and ready for Make-It-Monday tomorrow night.  I have a feeling my living room will become my cutting place this afternoon as I want to watch the Cubs as well!!

Painted Harvest

Thank you to my friend, Linda, for sending me a link to show my favorite stamp set with a Christmas twist!!  I knew as soon as I saw it, that I needed to use it to try making a Christmas card.  Thanks, Linda!!

This is my shoebox swap for the demonstrator get together I am going to today.  I love the way it turned out.  It is the exact same layout as we used last time at Make-It-Monday for one of the cards, only oriented vertically.

Stamps: Painted Harvest, Watercolor Christmas
Cardstock:  Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive
Accessories: Bouquet Bunch Framelits,
Holly Textured Embossing Folder,
Big Shot, Old Olive 3/8" Chevron Ribbon,

My desert is made, my swaps are almost complete, and I am about ready to head out the door for a fun day of stamping.  I am looking forward to spending the day with friends, using all of the new goodies in the upcoming Holiday catalog.  You are going to LOVE it . . . it has so many cool things in it.  I can't wait to share them with you!!

Painted Harvest

I love this craft show project I have been working on . . . and with one of my favorite stamp sets . . . Painted Harvest.  I saw something like this on Pinterest and knew it would be perfect for my fall craft shows.

The Holiday catalog has these mini pizza boxes that are just perfect for 3 X 3 notes!!

The belly band helps keep the box closed and it very easy to slide on and off!!

Check out the close ups of each card.

I used a strip of coordinating designer series paper to cover the back flap of the mini envelopes.

I had a ton of fun using different color combinations for each of the flowers. The top one is Curshed Curry and Cherry Cobbler. The above on is Cherry Cobbler and the next one is Pink Pirouette and Berry Burst.

I think this one is my favorite combination . . . Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze.

The more traditional sunflower . . . Crushed Curry and So Saffron.

And the last combination . . . Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie.

When you lay out all six of them together I think they are adorable.  I made eight boxes in all and each box has different sentiments on the cards.  I hope people like them as well as I do!!

Stamps: Painted Harvest, Wood Words
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze,
Cherry Cobbler, Berry Burst, Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla
Ink: Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron,
Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Berry Burst,
Pink Pirouette, Per Pizzazz, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Linen Thread, Mini Pizza Boxes, 3X3 MiniEenvelopes

Yesterday's lunch was a lot of fun.  We did not stay as long as usual . . . but that was a good thing because I had not been home very long and some friends called and wanted to know if we wanted to go out for supper . . . so of course we said yes.  We went to a little hole in the wall restaurant but had a delicious steak dinner for two with just about the best sirloin I have had in a long time.  It was so big that we brought half of it home and that is what we will be having for supper tonight!!

Spooky Cat

Not that I am wishing time away, but I do have to share this Halloween card I made the other day.  It seems like as stampers we are always one or two seasons ahead of where the calendar is!!

If I were to make this card over again I would probably cover a little more of the bottom of the white with the designer series paper.  I did not realize how low it was until I was looking at the photo of it.

Stamps: Spooky Cat (New)
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Basic Black, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Spooky Night  (New)
Ink: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Layering Circles Framelits, Big Shot,
Cat Punch (New), Stampin' Dimensionals

My social life is definitely getting in the way of my stamping!!!  I did not make it to my room yesterday since I was at coffee all morning and had a book I needed to finish because it was due at the library.  Today I am meeting my friends for lunch that usually lasts until supper time so there probably won't be much stamping done today either.  I have been able to do some assembling in the evenings as I have been watching the Cubs, so I am making progress on my projects!!

I got a ton of things done in my stamp room yesterday and last night while watching the cubs.  I am planning on spending the afternoon doing the same thing.  My goal is to get enough things done before the shows start so that I don't have to restock in between!!

Painted Harvest

Are you ready for a sneak peek at a new fall stamp set in the Holiday catalog?

I think the upcoming seasons . . . fall and Christmas are my favorite card making times.  I love the fall colors and I just plain love anything to do with Christmas.  This Painted Harvest stamp set is a two step photopolymer set that is absolutely awesome.

Stamps: Painted Harvest
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Painted Autumn
Ink: Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso
Accessories: Triple Banner Punch, Leaf Punch

Last night we ended up going out to eat with some friends so I am getting somewhat of a late start today.  The only thing I do know about today is that I am staying out of the Iowa City area as it is move in day for the University of Iowa.  I like hustle and bustle, but that is a lot for even me!!  Crafting and baseball are probably on the agenda!!  A perfect day!!

Carols of Christmas

I promise this will be the last Carols of Christmas card for a little while.  This was another card I found on Pinterest when I was looking for ideas.  It is also one that everybody made on Monday night.

I really don't think of Tranquil Tide as a Christmas color but it does seem to work when put with Real Red.  I had thought of it as a blueish color, but put with the red it definitely looks more green.

Stamps: Carols of Christmas
Cardstock: Real Red, Tranquil Tide, Whisper White
Ink: Tranquil Tide
Accessories: Holly Embossing Folder, Big Shot,
Real Red and Tranquil Tide Markers,
1/2" Tranquil Tide Finely Woven Ribbon

Yesterday was a pretty low key day.  I did manage to spend some time in my stamping room and got quite a bit done for some upcoming craft shows.  I think today I am going to try and start working on some CD calendars I have been wanting to make.

Beautiful Bouquet

This stamp set was a total impulse buy on my part.  I loved the words in the set, but I have so many sets that I have bought for just the words, I was going to pass on this one.  I am oh so glad I did not!!

When searching Pinterest for inspiration for this set, I came across this card.  I loved it and so did many who made it last night at Make-It-Monday.

Stamps: Beautiful Bouquet
Cardstock: Whisper White Thick, Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White
Ink: Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist, Melon Mamb
Accessories: Ruffled Embossing Folder, Big Shot,

Today is going to be a totally unplanned and relaxing day.  I was supposed to be on my way to Wisconsin with my daughter, Julie, but her work trip got cancelled, so I have three whole days with nothing planned.  There are plenty of things I probably should be doing, but nothing that can't wait, so resting and relaxing are on the agenda!!

Wow . . . what was that stuff falling from the sky . . . I sure hope it rains all day as I know we do need it.  The dark sky also made me sleep quite late today . . . 9:00 . . . which I must have also needed!!

Everything is ready for Make-It-Monday . . . it just needs to be loaded in the car.  Hopefully since I am ready early I didn't forget anything.  That usually seems to be the case!!
