Rooted In Nature

And here is the last of the sympathy cards I made last summer.  I think I have said before how Rooted In Nature is the perfect set to use for sympathy cards.

And would you believe it . . . after using some cards myself and my craft show this weekend . . . I do not have a single sympathy card left in my stash.  I will need to get busy and make some more when I get home from the stamping convention.

Stamps:  Rooted In Nature, Flourishing Phrases
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Ink: Garden Green, Early Espresso,
Garden Green and Early Espresso Markers
Accessories: Nature's Roots Framelits, Stampin' Dimensionals

Wow . . . even though I took about 4 hours out for lunch yesterday with my friend, I still made great progress on the die cutting and embossing for the Christmas card class.  I have just one small thing to finish on that today, so tonight I can finish stuffing the envelopes.  I also hope to get everything cut and ready for Technique/Stamp Club tomorrow night.  I hope I have as good of luck today as I had yesterday.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Friendly Expressions

I have one more congratulations card and one more sympathy card from my order last summer to share with you.

Once again this card is super simple and would be easy to mass produce if you needed a lot of congratulations cards.

Stamps: Friendly Expressions
Cardstock: Whisper White Thick, Whisper White Bliss,
Designer Series Paper: Share What You Love
Ink: Blackberry Bliss
Accessories:Layering Ovals Framelits, Big Shot,
Petal Pink Rhinestone Gems, Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday was a super productive day.  All cardstock is cut for the Christmas class and some of it is embossed already.  All that is left to do is some die cutting and a little more embossing and then the packets will all be ready!!  I hope to get a lot of that done this morning before I pick up a friend and we go out for lunch.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Making Christmas Bright

Wow . . . what a weekend . . . now on to the next event which is Christmas card making!!  This is a card we made as part of the make and takes when I went to Illinois in August.  It has been finished on my desk for some time now . . . I had just never taken pictures of it to share!!

I love the designer series paper used in this card.  It really dresses up any card and it goes with about any Christmas stamp set.

I am not sure they designed this card to open this way, but with the pieces I had this is the way I put it together.  Still a little space to write, but you don't have to write a book.

Stamps: Making Christmas Bright
Cardstock: Shaded Spruce, Real Red, Whisper White, Gold Glimmer
Designer Series Paper: All Is Bright
Ink: Real Red, Shaded Spruce, Crushed Curry
Accessories:  Christmas Bulb Punch, Gold Mini Sequin Trim,
Red Rhinestone Jewels, Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals

It was a fantastic weekend at the arts and crafts show.  I met a lot of people, sold some stuff, and came home VERY tired.  Today I need to get the car unloaded and start to cut cardstock for my Christmas card class that is at my house next Saturday.  I may not move as fast today but I want to get the bulk of it cut so I can start with the little pieces tomorrow.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Dashing Deer

My oh my . . . . there sure have been a lot of these things running across the roads lately!!  I am just glad they have not made any contact with my car!!

Even though this set was meant for Christmas, it sure does make some great masculine cards.  I think I have used it more for that than I have for Christmas!!

Stamps: Winter Woods, Dashing Deer, Best Birds
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla
Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories:  Woodland Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday was a great day at the craft show.  I hope today is equally as good.  I really don't want to bring a lot of stuff back home.

Every day is a gift!  Make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Beautiful Blizzard

Once again I love seeing these snowflakes on my cards, but not on the ground!!  I knew the first time I saw this stamp set in the Holiday catalog that it would be finding it's way to my stamping shelves!!

I have seen many colors used with these snowflakes but I must say I prefer those that are in some shade of blue.  I sure hope the Monday stampers liked this card as much as I did.

Amazing Congratulations

Here is another in the line of congratulations cards I made a while back.  Once a I got on a roll with this stamp set and my Stamparatus I really went to town!!

Again this would be absolutely perfect for any of you who have graduating seniors next year.  You could make a bunch of these in school colors and have all of your card giving done in one swoop!!!

Stamps: Amazing Congratulations
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink:  Basic Gray, Smoky Slate
Accessories:  Oh My Stars Embossing Folder,  Big Sho, Stamparatus

My swap is designed and got approval from Hanna, so now all I have to do is decide how many I want to make and get them cut and made.  After talking with Hanna this morning I realized that I had not gotten my flu shot yet so made an appointment to get it later today.  I hope to spend the afternoon in my stamp room when I get home!!

Spirited Snowmen

Snow and snowmen are great . . . on cards!!  I am not at all ready to see any in yards . . . but I love them in stamping!!  My very first Stampin' Up stamp set was a snowman.

Other than the fact that it was a lot of coloring, I think everyone liked this card on Monday night.  Who wouldn't want to receive this happy fellow in the mail??

Stamps: Spirited Snowmen
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Festive Farmhouse
Ink: Black Memento
Stampin' Blends:  Real Red Dark, Basic Black Dark, Pumpkin Pie Dark,

Accessories: Wink of Stella, Stampin' Dimensionals

My schedule is really helping me get everything done . . . in fact I am ahead of schedule.   Everything is ready and sitting by the door to be loaded in to the car tomorrow for this weekend's craft show.  That means I can start to make my swaps for Orlando today instead of waiting for next week.  Maybe I can even get them all stamped so I could assemble them during the down time at the craft show (which I hope there is not much of).

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Amazing Congratulations

I thought I would take a break from showing cards from recent classes and throw in another one of the congratulations cards I made this summer for an order I was trying to fill.

I am not sure I would have ever put these two colors together on my own . . . but using the designer series paper as a guide led me to it.  And the Stamparatus is a MUST!!

Stamps: Amazing Congratulations
Cardstock: Grapefruit Grove, Berry Burst, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Share What You Love
Ink: Berry Burst, Grapefruit Grove,
Accessories:  Stamparatus, 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon,

My to do list is very long before I leave for the stamping convention in Orlando in a couple of weeks, but yesterday I sat down and made a schedule, and it looks much more doable now!!  Organization was the key . . . now to see if I can keep to my schedule!!

Wishing You Well

Today's card comes straight from a blog I follow . . . Flowerbug's Inkspot.  I believe one of her downline made it and she had it posted on her site.

I love the combination of Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow . . . even back when they were In Colors a few years ago.  I am so glad they brought them both back.  I think the people making this card last night thought so too, as I heard several comments about the color combination.

Stamps: Wishing You Well

Ink: Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss
Stampin' Blend:  Blackberry Bliss Dark
Accessories:  Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder, Big Shot,

Many Blessings

Once again I am using a stamp set that I didn't think I needed or wanted.  In fact . . . I completely overlooked it in the catalog for a long time.  But once I saw a couple of things made with it and really looked at the set, I knew that I needed it!!

We are coming up on a time of year that I particularly focus on all the blessings of life!!  I try to always focus on my blessings but especially in November.  So you may see many cards that reflect all of the good things in life.  This is one of the cards that everybody will be making at Make-It-Monday!!

But a great time was had by all . . . and a Hawkeye victory just made the day all that much better!!

Making Christmas Bright

I just knew I would not be able to go this year without making some new things for the craft show at the end of the month.  I guess that is just not the way I am made.  When I went to pull out my craft show items I do have plenty left from previous years, but the one thing I did not have was Post-It Note Holders.  These have proved to be very popular and since they are super simple to make I whipped up a bunch yesterday.

I made these using some traditional Christmas colors and I have some to share with you tomorrow using a snowflake theme.

Soft Hands

These owls were just a little too hard for me to resist when I saw them in a store.  This owl is about three times the size of the lip balm owl and contains hand lotion.

They come in a variety of colors and would be perfect for stocking stuffers!!

Cardstock:  Soft Suede, very vanilla
Designer Series Paper: Country Lane
Accessories:Layering Circles Framelits, Simply Scored

Today is an errand running kind of day!!  Hopefully there will be stamp time this afternoon!!!

Hardwood

I know I said I was not making anything new for the one craft show I am doing this year but when I saw these little owls, I could not resist.

They are actually lip balm holders.  The take out treat thinlit was just perfect for packaging!!

I only got five of them so if they aren't very popular I won't have a lot left over.  I do think they turned out kind of cute.

Stamps: Hardwood
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Old Olive
Ink: Early Espresso
Accessories:  Take Out Thinlits Dies, Layering Ovals Framelits,
Big Shot, Leaf Punch

Hopefully there will be a lot of stamping going on in my room today.  I have a lot of projects that need to get done with little or no motivation!!!  Today is the day that needs to change!!!

Snow is Glistening

If you don't recognize this stamp set there is a good reason for that!!  Stampin' Up! is having another limited time stamp release in November and this Snow Is Glistening set along with accompanying thinlits is one of them.

We are having our monthly Paper Pals meeting and swap this morning because we could not find an evening that would work for all of us.  Who would guess that the four of us would be so busy.  This morning is great because three of us are retired and the fourth is working nights this week, so a Monday morning is perfect.

Stamps: Snow Is Glistneing
Cardstock: Balmy Blue, Cardstock Vellum, Silver Glimmer Paper
Ink: Basic Gray
Accessories:  Snowflake Thinlits, Big Shot,
Silver 3/8" Metallic Edged Ribbon,

Rooted In Nature

Once again I am using Rooted In Nature for a sympathy card.  I actually like the tree shaped like this in Lovely as a Tree better, but there are not framelits to cut it out and I am not a fan of fussy cutting.

This is a super simple card to make so I have many in my stockpile so I have them when I need them.

Stamps: Rooted In Nature, Flourishing Phrases
Cardstock: Whisper White Thick, Whisper White
Ink: Early Espresso
Accessories:  Nature's Roots Framelits, Subtle Embossing Folder,
Big Shot, 1/4" Copper Trim, Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday was definitely a sports day.  I watched football and baseball all day long.  I actually wished I had one of those split screen TV's because I kept switching channels back and forth between football and baseball.  I did do a little crafting in my lap making advent muffin tin covers while I was glued to the screen.  Go Hawks!!!  I think that was my favorite game of all that I watched.

Dashing Deer

Being married almost 30 years to a hunter . . . deer especially . . . I just knew I could use this stamp set for something other than a Christmas card.  I found this card on one of the stamping sites I belong to . . . Be Creative.

It is just perfect to give to all of your hunting friends for a birthday.

Stamps: Dashing Deer, Picture Perfect
Cardstock: Gray Granite, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Joyous Noel
Ink: Gray Granite
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits,
Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder,

En Route

En Route is one of those stamp sets that I bought immediately when I saw it in the catalog and I have had it for almost six months and it has seen very little use!!  I did pull it off the shelf for my order of congratulations cards, but that is about it!!

I made this quite a while ago and think I found the inspiration on Pinterest.  I do love this color combination . . . one I probably would not have put together.

Stamps:  En Route, Flourishing Phrases
Cardstock: Whisper White Thick, Blueberry Bushel, Mango Melody, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper:  Best Route
Ink:  Blueberry Bushel
Accessories:  Best Route Enamel Shapes, Stampin' Dimensionals

Today is going to seem like Grand Central Station at the Wilson household.  This is the day the gal comes to clean and someone is also coming to clean out our main sewer drain this morning . . . both at the same time.  Meanwhile . . . I need to be at a funeral this morning as well . . . John will hold down the fort here and I will go to the funeral.  I do believe a nap will be calling my name when I get home as I stayed up late reading again last night!!

Winter Woods

At the last September stamp night one of my friends, Bev, asked about making these trees from Winter Woods into a fall card.  It sounded like an awesome idea, so here is the fall rendition of the trees, which everyone got to make this week.

I found a cards similar to this on Pinterest, but there was no way to trace the owner as there was no mention of the original poster.

Stamps: Winter Woods, Itty Bitty Greetings
Cardstock:  Soft Suede, Old Olive, Very Vanilla
Ink: Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody, Old Olive
Accessories:  5/8" Burlap Ribbon, Sponge Daubers,
Stampin' Dimensionals

My day is all topsy turvy today.  I started walking in the morning instead of after lunch and I am still getting used to the new routine!!  I will get there, I know . . . but it might take me a while.

I hope to do a little stamping this afternoon before meeting friends for supper at our favorite Mexican restaurant in Kalona.  I have several things coming up so I need to be making good use of my time!!

My One and Only Craft Show This Year

This year I decided to do only one craft show for a variety of reasons.  I was not going to make anything new . . . only pulll from the things I had left over from last year!!

That has worked for a while but when Julie and I were shopping the other day I saw these cute little lip glosses at the Dollar Tree and was reminded of the Paper Pumpkin kit that was still sitting on my shelf.

So  got a few to package up.  I will say I am glad I got only a few because these are not my favorite item . . . but we shall see what happens!!  I suppose since these are all I got they will be very popular!!  LOL

There were a couple of other items I picked up as well and the packaging for them is going to happen today.  Then I may start on a lengthy project Hanna wants for the schools she works in!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!
