Christmas Rose

It might be Halloween, but the weather outside reminds me of Christmas. Starting tomorrow you will be able to order this gorgeous limited time offering . . . Christmas Rose.  Let me tell you the designer series paper in this suite is absolutely awesome.

For this card, which I saw on Pinterest, all I did was die cut the beautiful rose bouquet and add a sentiment.  Easy Peasy . . . but oh so pretty!!!

Stamps:  Christmas Rose
Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Christmastime is Here
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Accessories:  Rose Dies, Stampin' Dimensionals

My goal today is to get all of the cardstock cut for Saturday's Peek Into Santa's Workshop class and hopefully get a start on the die cutting and dry embossing that needs to be done.  I was suppose to have a hair appointment early this morning but because of the weather it will now be in the afternoon, which is just fine with me as I wasn't relishing getting out early this morning!!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Gather Together

This is one of the other cards that everyone made this week that stamped with me.  While I don't know that I have ever seen a leaf this color I do like the color combination.

It would also look great in shades of orange.  I may have to try that if time permits!!

Stamps: Gather Together
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Mint Macaron, Early Espresso,
Crumb Cake, Whisper White (Inside)
Ink: Pretty Peacock
Accessories:  Gathered Leaves Dies, Christmas Cardinal Dies,

Today will be busy busy busy cutting cardstock for this weekend and getting ready for the last Countdown To Christmas Project stamping night tonight.  I have a few errands to run as well when I am in Iowa City.  And of course I HAVE to watch the last baseball game of the season tonight as the seventh game of the World Series is tonight!!

Nature's Beauty

Pinterest was once again the inspiration for this card.  There was one there that was vanilla layered on vanilla with the same design.  I opted to use a colored cardstock for the card base.

This is one of the cards everyone stamping this week is going to be making. Unfortunately everyone needs "thinking of you" cards at some point.

Stamps: Nature's Beauty, Birch, Rooted In Nature
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla
Ink: Memento Black, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz
Stampin' Blends:  Crumb Cake Cake Combo Pack,
Petal Pink Dark, Soft Sea Foam Light
Accessories:  Stitched Shapes Dies, Stamparatus,
Linen Thread, Mini Glue Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

I was tired when I got home last night so everything is still just sitting in the kitchen where we put it after unloading the car.  I need to get it all out away and get started cutting cardstock for the Christmas card class that is this weekend.  With the snow on the ground it does make me realize Christmas is not that far away!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Toile Christmas

One of my stamping friends, Cindy, sent me a picture of this card and asked if we could make it at a stamp night.  Of course, I said "Sure!"  The one she sent me had a Christmas greeting on it, but for class I changed it up to a birthday greeting.

I will have the Christmas sentiment there as well if anyone would like to make it into a Christmas card.  I will tell you that those little gold foil curly cues are a pain to cut out but they are worth it once you get them on the card and see how cool they look.

Stamps: Toile Christmas, Here's a Card

Gather Shadow Box

One of the Facebook groups I belong to had a fall shadow box similar to this one and I thought that they would make good craft show items . . . . something a little different than what I usually sell.  So yesterday I decided to make one.  This one looks very similar to the one on Facebook, but as I was putting it together all sorts of other ideas were springing into  my head so I am anxious to make some of those as well!!

Once I had everything cut, the actual assembly of the shadow box went quite quickly.  I anticipate that others will go quickly as well since I have all of the dimensions figured out!!

Harvest Hellos

The minute I saw these on a blog I follow . . . The Paper Pixie . . . I knew I needed to make some for Hanna to give to the teachers in her building during American Education Week in November!!

I was cleaning up in my stamping room and found this card we made as a Make and Take at Stamping School back in August.  So of course I had to share it!!

The wreath in the All Around Wreath Die set is really awesome.  It could be used for all seasons depending on what color of cardstock you would use.  It makes the perfect Christmas card when layered on a red cardstock.

I finally had time this week to make samples for my all day Christmas card class on November 2nd.  This is one of the cards everyone will be making multiples of!!

Great day yesterday tailgating and the Hawkeye win!!!  However I felt like a drowned rat when I got home so a warm shower, a hot cup of coffee, and my recliner and a blanket were the order of the day for what was left of it. I tried to watch the baseball playoff game last night but fell asleep before it was halfway over!!

Today I will be working on getting everything cut and ready for the Countdown to Christmas class on Monday night.

Nature's Beauty

The Nature's Beauty stamp set that is on the back page of the holiday catalog has the most beautiful animals in it!!!  And what makes it even better is that three dollars of every sale goes toward mental health organizations.  Stampin' Up! tries to make a difference in the lives of people and this stamp set is one way they are doing that.

Everyone that made this card this week had a hard time deciding on what side of this designer series paper to use.  They are equally as beautiful.  The other side of this one has all types of green plants on it.  I think most people decided that while they liked the other side better, this side worked best with the design of the card.

Stamps: Nature's Beauty, Itty Bitty Birthdays
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Pretty Peacock, Very Vanilla, Copper Foil
Designer Series Paper: Pressed Petals

Amazing Everything

Today's card comes from my friend, Sally, who lives in Ohio.  She brought this card as a shoebox swap when we met in Illinois for Stamping School back in August.

Daisy Lane

If you live long enough you see many things come and go in life.  The same is true with stamping.  Collage stamping was a big thing a while back.  When I saw this card on Melissa's Crafting Treehouse I knew it was one I wanted to make.

Well . . . the time is here . . . I am only doing two craft shows this fall but the time is here so start gearing up for them.  The first thing on the agenda is to go through the stockpile of things I already have left from previous years and then see what I need to make.  I am planning on doing just that today.  I am meeting some friends for supper and then of course there is always the playoff baseball games to watch!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Today I need to finish getting things ready for Make-It-Monday since I was gone all weekend long!!

Harvest Hellos

This Harvest Hellos stamp set has to be among my favorites in the Holiday Catalog now that I have had some time to play with all of the stamp sets. And even though it is not used here, the added benefit is a punch to go with it!!

This card, which comes from a blog called, Bonnie Stamps, is one that everyone will be making tomorrow night at Make-It-Monday.  Who wouldn't want to receive such a fun little card!!

Yesterday was a great day of tailgating although it started off cold and  it ended cold.  I also drove to Iowa City on the dark, and drove home 17 hours later in the dark.

To look at this picture you would think I know what I am doing when playing bags!!  However . . . I can't hit the broadside of a barn with the silly things!!  I had fun playing and provided a lot of laughs for everyone, so that is the important thing!!

Believe it or not, once we got up to our seats, I actually was pretty warm so shed my winter coat.  I was certainly glad I had it, though after it got dark. You can also see that we all had on the appropriate color clothing last night as well.

It really is very cool how the striped stadium looks on these nights. And there is just something extra in the air for a night football game!!

As soon as I am done posting this I am getting ready to pick Julie up and we are going to go on a little shopping trip called the Rural Road Trip.  It features many little quaint shops in our own area.  Many of these I have always wanted to visit but just never made the time.  Today is the day!!

Perennial Birthday

I am still on a mission to use all of the cool designer series paper that I have been collecting.  This card comes from Melissa's Crafting Treehouse once again.  So simple . . . but so cool!!

This is one of the cards that everyone will be making at the next Make-It-Monday.  I love how this could work for either a guy or a gal!!!  I am trying to decide if it needs some bling on it . . . what do you think??

Stamps: Perennial Birthday
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Night of Navy, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: See a Silhouette
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Layering Circles Dies, 2 1/4" Circle Punch,
Stampin' Dimensionals

It has been a typical morning in the Wilson household . . . confused is the best way I can think of to describe it!!  Last night John lost a small cap to some Three-In-One oil and we had been looking all over for it.  Not important . . . but he thought he needed it.  This morning he needed some steel wool so I went to Kalona to get it.  On the way home I realized that I could not find my debit card!!  I knew the last placed I used it but it was nowhere to be seen. The gal that cleans my house was helping me look for my debit card and was going through some sacks in the trash in case I had put in a sack when I came home yesterday.  We did not find the debit card there . . . but low and behold . . . she did find the little red cap to John's oil.  And after looking a little more the debit card has been located as well.  Like I said . . . a typical day at the Wilson household!!

This is one of the cards that everyone made on Tuesday night when they stopped by the house. I found it on a blog that I have recently started following  . . . Melissa's Crafting Treehouse.  She showcases a lot of techniques on her blog that I have been using for Technique/Stamp clubs.

Ink: Soft Suede, Mint Macaron, Pretty Peacock, Merry Merlot
Accessories:  Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder, Braided Linen Trim

Today I get to do one of my least favorite things in the world . . . go to the dentist to have a tooth filled.  But choosing to look through my rose colored glasses . . . at least I am here to have a tooth filled, I have teeth to get filled, and I do like my dentist!!  I  think I will stop at Starbucks on my way home as a reward!!
