In The Moment

Today I have a card that I made back in November during the On Stage At Home event.  It was one that was featured during the presentations and that I wanted to try.

I embossed the image with White Embossing Powder and then colored parts of it in with the White Watercolor pencil that is in the Watercolor I package.  I then went over it with a Blender Pen to kind of smooth it out and give it a little bit of a watercolor look.  The In The Moment stamp set is the perfect set to try this technique.  It does make me think of relaxing!!

Stamps: In the Moment
Cardstock: Basic White Thick, Polished Pink, PetalPink, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: New Horizon
Accessories:  Scallop Contour Dies, Versamark, Basic Embossing Powders, Heat Tool, Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pens, Polished Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

There was no post yesterday as John had an early morning doctor appointment and then I forgot all about it when we did get home.  And . . . . there will be no posts until next Tuesday as I am hoping to leave tomorrow with my brothers and sister-in-law for the Hawkeye Citrus Bowl game in Florida.  I'm still a little on the fence about going with John's legs the way they are but I do know that not much gets done within the University Hospital system the week between Christmas and New Year's so I can wait sitting at home in my recliner or I can wait in Florida.  I'm leaning more and more towards Florida!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

In The Moment

Are you ready for some sneak peeks from the new January-June 2022 Mini Catalog?  I used the In the Moment stamp set to make this card to share with you today.  After a busy Christmas maybe relaxing is the best thing you can do today!!

You might be wondering how I got those colors on her shirt, pants, and the pillows.  I actually stamped the girl on the Basic White circle and then stamped her three more times on different patterns of paper.  I then snipped them out with my paper snips and pieced them on the appropriate place on the white circle.  Kind of time-consuming, but I like the final product.

Stamps: In The Moment
Cardstock: Pale Papaya, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Sunshine & Rainbows (Sale-a-Bration), Daffodil Afternoon (Sale-a-Bration)
Ink: Memento Black
Stampin' Blends:  Flirty Flamingo Dark, Daffodil Delight Dark
Accessories:  Layering Circles Dies, Champagne Rhinestones,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Hopefully, today will be another day of rest and relaxation.  I am planning on trying to get my new products from the January-June 2022 Mini and Sale-a-Bration catalogs assembled and organized.  I am sure there will be some football watching as well.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Heartfelt Wishes

Merry Merry Christmas!!  I hope you are enjoying celebrating with your family and friends.

Today's card is one that we made at the last Make-It-Monday and uses the beautiful Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper which is unfortunately no longer available.  The sentiment is cut out with paper snips and of course, no card is complete without some bling.

Be Jolly

I just love the little Santa on this card I made a while back at an event that my friend, Susie had in October.  He makes me happy when I see how jolly he is!!

It does not show up very well ing the photo but the Wink of Stella on his beard and hat are really quite sparkly!!  Whenever I hear the phrase "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" it makes me think of Burl Ives which in turn reminds me of a fun time at Mann Family Christmas . . . and yes . . . to my brother . . . Burl Ives is dead. (inside family joke)

Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Basic White, Gold Foil

Even though we have already had our family Christmas, today seems very special . . . .waiting and waiting and waiting!  Tonight I hope to watch the Livestream of the Christmas Eve service at Hanna and Jake's church.  And continue my resting,  relaxing, and recuperating!!

Christmas to Remember

Today I have used the Christmas to Remember stamp set with the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper to make this card to share with you.

This card was a Card in the Mail card a couple of weeks ago.  It is perfect for that as it could be used for many occasions depending on what stamps you might have at home.  The Cards in the Mail packets are one of the best things that have come from the pandemic, at least as far as my stamping goes.  It is certainly a #Coronaquince . . . which is the hashtag Hanna has given to those good things that have come from COVID.

Stamps: Christmas to Remember
Cardstock: Basic White Thick, Evening Evergreen, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Tidings of Christmas
Ink: Evening Evergreen
Accessories:  Seasonal Label Dies,
Evening Evergreen 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon, Wonderful Gems,
Stampin' Dimensionals

I know this might be hard to believe but I have absolutely nothing I have to do until next Monday morning.  I am not sure I am going to know what to do with myself!! Reading, resting, and recuperating will probably be on the agenda!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Peaceful Moments

Today I used the Peaceful Moments and some small leftover pieces of the Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper to make this card to share with you.  I am really going to miss this paper as it is sold out and is no longer available.

This particular layout is great for using up small pieces of paper you have leftover from other cards.  Mixing and matching can be so much fun and no two cards have to look alike.  I am thinking that Hippo & Friends Dies are going to be one of my go-to die sets for sentiment pieces.

Stamps: Peaceful Place
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Basic Black, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Peaceful Place
Ink: Basic Gray
Accessories:  Hippo & Friends, Simply Elegant Trim,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday did indeed bring a quick in and out doctor's appointment for John.  I think we are finally headed in the right direction . . . now if we can just keep going in that direction.

Today I might actually start on my own Christmas cards!!  I know they are going to be late but better late than never!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Peaceful Moments

I had many scraps of this Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper left over after a major stamping project so decided to pair them with the Peaceful Moments stamp set to make this card to share with you today.

The Rectangle Stitched Dies are not my favorite to use because I sometimes have trouble getting them out of the die but they worked perfectly for me this time.  This is one of the cards that is in this week's Cards in the Mail packet.  What a great winter card that you could use for just about any occasion.

Stamps: Peaceful Moments
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Evening Evergreen, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Painted Christmas
Ink: Early Espresso
Accessories:  Stitched Rectangle Dies, Seasonal Label Dies,
Wonderful Snowflakes,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Today brings yet another doctor appointment this afternoon for John's legs.  I am hoping this will be a quick in and out appointment . . . there is always hope.  We will have our brand new ride making its first trip to the doctor!!  Getting the new vehicle yesterday was super easy and I love how easy it is to get in and out of!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Artistically Inked

Today I have a card that my friend, Luetta, brought as a swap to a stamping afternoon a while back to share with you today.  This is also one of the cards that everyone made at Make-It-Monday last Monday.

I love the two shades of blue that make up the swirly background.  It is the perfect accompaniment to the die-cut snowflakes.  As I have said many times before . . . the snowflakes can stay on cards this year . . . they do not need to come from the sky and stay on the ground!!

Stamps: Artistically Inked, Peaceful Cabin (No longer available)
Cardstock: Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Basic White
Ink: Balmy Blue, Night of Navy
Accessories:  Sop Many Snowflakes Dies, Pearl Basic Jewels,
Mini Glue Dots

There might be a little stamping going on today but I doubt there is much.  John and I are going up this afternoon to pick up our brand new vehicle.  It will be so nice to have a vehicle that is easier to get in and out of!!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Holly Jolly Wishes

Today I have used the stamp set Holly Jolly Wishes to make this card to share with you.  This is a sentiment-only stamp set and I have used it a lot this holiday season.

Paired with the Painted Season Designer Series Paper this makes a super simple Christmas card.  I absolutely love this paper so I was glad to see that it was going to make a come-back next holiday season as it is being carried over to the 2022 Holiday Catalog.  The Wintry 3D embossing folder is the perfect one to coordinate with the paper.

Stamps: Holly Jolly Wishes
Cardstock: Basic White Thick, Real Red, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Painted Christmas
Ink: Evening Evergreen
Accessories:  Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Wintry 3D Embossing Folder,
Wonderful Gems, Real Red 3/8" Double Stitched Satin Ribbon,
Stampin' Dimensionals

The last couple of days have been a whirlwind of activities . . . but at least they have been fun days and not filled with doctor's appointments.  We celebrated Christmas yesterday with Julie and Jason, and Hanna and Jake, and the kids.  Kids certainly do add another dimension to the holiday celebration.

If you know me, you know that I love the Christmas season and definitely do think it is the most wonderful time of the year.

This is a perfect reminder . . . .each light bulb represents a child's fingerprint!!

Johan's are green, Adrian's are red, Julian's are gold and Shayra's are silver.

What a great gift I can set out year after year to remind me of this very first Christmas with all of them!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Peaceful Cabin

Today I have again used the Peaceful Cabin stamp set to make this card to share with you.  I think it is probably the one set I used the absolute most in this August-December 2021Mini Catalog.

This is a layout that I have used quite a lot lately, but the cards always seem to look a little different depending on what designer series paper you use and also what die you use for the sentiment.  I can't wait to use this layout with some of the papers that will be in the January-June 2022 Mini catalog or the Sale-A-Bration catalog that will be available in January.

Stamps: Peaceful Cabin
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Painted Christmas
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Accessories:  Stockings Dies, Stitched So Sweetly Dies,
Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, Rhinestone Basic Jewels,
Stampin' Dimensionals

We are off to the doctor again today . . . this time to the eye clinic so I know I definitely need to take something with me to do.  If I take something we get in and out right away . . . if I don't we are there forever.  I hope to be home before the winds kick in this afternoon.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Beauty of Tomorrow

Today I have used the Beauty of Tomorrow stamp set to make this card to share with you.  I have used the sentiments in this stamp set a lot . . . the other images not quite so much.

If you are like me and are a fan of this paper you are going to want to snag some of it quick as it is only available while supplies last and it is going fast!!  As you can see it makes a gorgeous card without a lot of work!!

Stamps: Beauty of Tomorrow
Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss, Very Vanilla, Gold Foil
Designer Series Paper: Blackberry Beauty
Ink: Blackberry Bliss
Accessories:  Everyday Label Punch, Gold 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon,

No post yesterday as we were out the door for an early morning appointment for John's legs.  We had hoped to be home by mid-morning but alas . . . that did not happen as we needed to have more tests.  They still can't quite figure out what is going on . . . so we continue with our frequent appointments.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Snowflake Wishes

Here is another thank you card I made with the Snowflake Wishes to share with you today.  I think I should have my Christmas thank yous taken care of!!

Unfortunately, the Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper is no longer available but it surely does make a gorgeous card.  The Wonderful Snowflakes are back-ordered as well, but the good news is that they will be available next holiday season.

I am on the go again today.  After I get my car unloaded from the show this weekend, I plan to work on cutting cardstock for Make-It-Monday.  This afternoon I am meeting a friend and we plan to spend the afternoon stamping, making 2022 calendars.  This evening will either bring more cardstock cutting or working on a big order of Christmas cards I need to get done this week.

Snowflake Wishes

Today I have used the stamp set, Snowflake Wishes, to make this thank you card to share with you.  Thank you cards seem to be a thing of the past, but I sure think they need to make a comeback!!

Usually, I stamp first and emboss second, but since the was a Cards in the Mail card I did not do that this time.  I wasn't sure how that would turn out, but as you can see, it worked just fine!!  Add a little bit of bling and you have the perfect card for sending all of your Christmas thank yous!!

Stamps: Snowflake Wishes
Cardstock: Basic White Thick, Night of Nav,  Basic Whitey
Designer Series Paper: Beauty of the Earth
Ink: Night of Navy
Accessories:  Wintry 3D Embossing Folder,

As soon as I am done posting this I am out the door for the second day of the Corridor Market: Holiday Edition.  Yesterday was a great day and I hope today is as well.

Tidings & Trimmings

Once again direct from the site I follow, Paper Pixie, is another treat holder I have made to share with you and also for the craft show this weekend.

I have decided that I love making these little boxes for treat holders.  They are really pretty simple and just dress up a simple treat.  I had not really looked at the Tidings and Trimmings Designer Series Paper until recently but it has some pretty cool designs.  And it is in the annual catalog so it will be available for a few more months.  I thought at first that the star might be hard to die-cut and have all of the pieces come out easily but that was not the case at all.  It was super easy to use.

Inside each treat box is this Christmas tree snack cake.  Again John and I had to taste test them and they were not too bad.  And the best part was that they were easy to find at the store.

Stamps: Tidings and Trimmings
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Evening Evergreen, Basic White, Gold Foil
Designer Series Paper: Tidings of Christmas
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Accessories:  Christmas Trimmings Dies, Detailed Trio Punch,
Banners Pick a Punch, Brushed Metallic Adhesive Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

I got everything set up yesterday for the show, which was good so that I do not need to go early and finish it up.  There are so many vendors there this time . . . if you need to do any shopping I am sure you can find something for all those people on your Christmas list.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Evergreen Elegance

Straight from a site I follow, Paper Pixie, is this fun treat holder I have made for my craft show tomorrow and Saturday.  I love following her site because she has such cute treat holders.

What better thing to give a friend than a treat to show how much you appreciate them!!  I was thrilled to be able to use the Evergreen Border Punch on these instead of using dies.  Made it go so much faster!!

And when you pull the ribbon up you can see the little treat inside.  A Nutty Buddy Polar Bar.  Of course, John and I had to try them to make sure they were a tasty little treat and we can assure you they are!!

Cardstock: Evening Evergreen, Basic White, Gold Foil:
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Accessories:  Tailored Tags, Evergreen Border Punch, Detailed Trio Punch,

Words of Cheer

Today I have used the Words of Cheer stamp set to make this easy Christmas card to share with you.  This is another card that is easily duplicatable and you can make many in a short period of time.

The Wintry 3D Embossing Folder on the circle and banner piece really shows up more in the actual card than it does in the photo.  It adds a nice dimensional touch to the card.  You really do need to look at the die sets carefully to see what kind of sentiment dies they contain.  I had totally missed this die in the Snow Time dies until I took a second look.

Stamps: Words of Cheer
Cardstock: Basic White Thick, Real Red, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Gingerbread & Peppermint
Ink: Real Red
Accessories:  Snowtime Dies, Layering Circles Dies,

Today is going to be a crafting, eating lunch with friends kind of day!  I hope to get a lot of craft show projects wrapped up before meeting my teacher friends for lunch.  And of course, there will be crafting this evening as well.

Inspired Thoughts

Today I have used the Inspired Thoughts and the beautiful Ever Eden Designer Series paper to make this card to share with you.  If you love this Ever Eden paper as much as I do you should take advantage of the FREE SHIPPING sale tomorrow, Wednesday, and order yourself a package or two!!!

This layout has become a staple of the Cards in the Mail cards, but when you change up the sentiment piece and the designer series paper it always gives a new look.  It is super simple to recreate and mass-produce cards if that is what you need to do!!

Stamps: Inspired Thoughts
Cardstock: Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Basic White (Inside)
Designer Series Paper: Ever Eden
Ink: Evening Evergreen
Accessories:  Label Me Fancy Punch, 3/8" Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon,

After the excitement of yesterday of going and inquiring about a new vehicle and actually purchasing one that will be here the 15th of December, today we are back to our usual life of doctor's appointment.  We have yet another appointment for John's legs.  I can only hope the doctor thinks they have improved because I am not sure what else we can try other than IV antibiotics.  Say an extra prayer that is not where we end up!!

Heartfelt Wishes

I have used the stamp set, Heartfelt Wishes to make this card to share with you today.  I will be sorry to see this stamp set retire at the end of the month.

For this card, I used one of the Adorning Designs Decorative Masks and a Blending Brush to make the background.  I haven't used the masks much but they are very easy to use and give you a pretty cool look.  The Wonderful Snowflakes are exactly that . . . wonderful!!  I am thrilled that they will be available again next year in the Holiday Catalog!!

Stamps: Heartfelt Wishes
Cardstock: Basic White Thick, Night of Navy, Pool Party, Basic White
Ink: Pool Party, Night of Navy
Accessories:  Adorning Designs D, Blending Brecorative Masks,

If I were still teaching first grade this is the kind of day where I would tell the kids that I might need to tie strings around their wrists when we went out for recess because otherwise, they might blow away!!!  Considering the weather and what the rest of the week will bring, today is going to be a stay-at-home kind of day!!  With no unexpected trips anywhere I hope.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Blackberry Beauty

It is rare, but every once in a while I make a card that has absolutely no stamping on it.  Such is the case with the card I have to share with you today.

This Blackberry Beauty paper is so gorgeous that it really does not need a lot of embellishment.  I strategically cut the center strip of designer series paper so that I could get 4 cards from each sheet with a lot of leftover paper for other projects.  The Gold Shimmer Ribbon just seemed to finish it off perfectly.  This card was one of the cards in last week's Cards in the Mail packet.

Cardstock: Early Espresso, Basic White (inside)
Designer Series Paper: Blackberry Beauty
Accessories:  Gold 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon

Well . . . .yesterday did bring more crafting, lunch with my friend, Luetta, some football, but also an unexpected trip to the doctor for John's legs again.  I am hoping we are headed in the right direction now.

Today will bring a trip to LeClaire with Julie and Jason to check out a cute little shop that has awesome Christmas decor.  Who knows what I might come home with.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Delicate Baubles

Today I have used the gorgeous Delicate Baubles Dies to make an elegant Christmas card to share with you.

I started with a card base of Evening Evergreen, which has become one of my favorite Christmas colors for cardmaking.  I then die cut the bauble out of the middle of the Metallic Gold Layer.  This is quite a paper saver since it is then hidden by the third layer. Although you can't see them all, I finished the card by adding three Metallic Pearls and the shimmer ribbon.

Cardstock: Evening Evergreen, Basic White, Brushed Metallic
Accessories:  Delicate Baubles Dies, Gold 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon,
Metallic Pearls, Mini Glue Dots

Yesterday was a total day of rest!!  Even though the weather was beautiful, I don't think either John or I even stuck our noses out the door.  Today will bring more crafting, lunch and shopping with my friend, Luetta, and of course the Big Ten Championship Football game tonight!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Tidings & Trimmings

Today I have used the stamp set, Tidings & Trimmings to make this card to share with you.  This has been a little-used stamp set in my stamp room and it was time it saw some use.

Since this was one of the Christmas Cards in the Mail, I have only used a sentiment and designer series paper.  But man oh man does it make an easy card if you are making multiples!!

Cardstock:  Evening Evergreen, Real Red, Basic White
Designer Series Paper:  Painted Christmas
