Cup of Tea

Today I have used the Cup of Tea stamp set and the coordinating designer series paper, Tea Boutique to create this card to share with you.  This is a card I saw on a site I follow . . . Flowerbug's Inkspot.  This would be a great card to send to a friend because everybody needs reminders to take care of themselves!!

This is actually a funky fold card as only the green portion of the card opens up.  It is layered onto a quarter sheet of Fresh Freesia cardstock.  The pattern in the designer series paper reminds me of my mom and she did like a nice cup of tea!!  You could even include a tea bag as Flowerbug did on her card.

Stamps: Cup of Tea
Cardstock: Fresh Freesia, Garden Green, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Tea Boutique
Ink: Garden Green
Accessories: Layering Circles Dies, Label Me Lovely Punch,
3/8" Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon, Fun Flower Resin Dots,
Mini Glue Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

My patio got mostly cleaned off yesterday and some plants were bought yesterday rather than going today.  And I even managed to listen to both of the Cubs games yesterday, although they lost both of them,.  Today I hope to work on some swaps for an event I am going to this weekend.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Charming Sentiments

Today I have used the new sentiment set, Charming Sentiments, to make this card to share with you.  It has some really neat sentiments in really cool fonts!!  You should check it out!!

I said last week that I needed to use the Rectangular Postage Stamp punch more and I have.  It is the perfect size for punching pieces for a Cards In The Mail card.  And so much easier than die-cutting.  For this card, I have used the Night of Navy Hues of Happiness design and pattern.  Each card will look a little different depending on where you punch the stamp.  It doesn't show up very well in the photo but I have also embossed the Night of Navy punchouts with the new Elegant Eucalyptus 3D Embossing Folder.  It is in a package of two of the smaller slimline embossing folders.

Stamps: Cahrming Sentiments
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Night of Navy, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Hues of Happiness
Ink: Night of Navy
Accessories:  Elegant Eucalyptus 3D Embossing Folders,
Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch, Glossy Dots Assortment,
Stampin' Dimensionals

I have been wanting to get my back patio cleaned off for a while and today is the day!!  My knee is ready and the weather is cooperating by not raining and not being too warm.  I am hoping to get most of it done today so I can go buy some plants and flowers tomorrow.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Slim Sayings

Today I am using the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog set, Slim Sayings, and the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks to make these cards to share with you.  This is a set of cards I made last March at the Sister's retreat that I attended right before my knee surgery.  They kind of got buried and I just now found them.

The Decorative Masks are really easy to use now that we have the Blending Brushes.  You just need to be sure to put Post-It-Notes around the masks so that you do not get any ink where you don't want it.

Here are close-ups of each of the cards.

I think this one is probably my favorite.

Or it could be this one!!

Which one is your favorite?

Stamps: Slim Sayings
Cardstock: Pool Party, Basic White
Ink: Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, Just Jade (retired)
Accessories:  Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks,
Blending Brushes, Pool Party Sheer Ribbon, Adhesive Backed Hexagons,
Mini Glue Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

As soon as I am done posting this I am out the door to head to Ames for a graduation party.  I may shop my way down there and back . . . since I need to get out and walk around a little bit during the trip anyway!!  Any excuse to do some shopping!!!

He's All That

Today I have used the cool new masculine stamp set, He's All That, along with the coordinating designer series paper, He's the Man, to make this card to share with you.  This is the last of the cards everyone stamping with me this week got to make.

This designer series paper and this stamp set will certainly see a lot of use from me this year.  The one side has some cool masculine images, but the other side has all masculine geometric patterns . . . just perfect for those guy cards.  Whether you want cars, outdoors, cooking . . . this set has it all!!

Stamps: He's All That
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: He's The Man
Ink: Memento Black
Accessories:  All That Dies, Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folders,
Rustic Metallic Adhesive Baked Dots,

Woohoo!!!  I am graduating today . . . .from physical therapy, that is.  My therapist and I have decided that I can do everything they ask with little to no difficulty, so there is no need to continue until my follow-up doctor's visit.  I can't thank them enough for getting me back on my feet.  What once seemed like a great obstacle was just a stepping stone in the path of life.

Sending Smiles

Today I have made a card I saw on a site I follow . . . .Flowerbug's Inkspot.  I really liked the offset focal piece and the way she used the stem and blooms.  This was another one of the cards that everyone stamping with me this week got to make.

I stamped off when stamping my flowers as I wanted them to have a more muted look.  Many people Monday night preferred the full strength stamp.  They were both awesome.  I do like this layout and will have to put it in the keep file to try again with different stamps and designer series paper.

Stamps: Sending Smiles
Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Sweet Sorbet, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Pretty Prints
Ink:  Evening Evergreen, Sweet Sorbet, Bermuda Bay
Accessories:  Sending Dies, Sweet Sorbet 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon,
Mini Glue Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Another whole day with nothing on the schedule!!  And right now the sun is shining and it looks beautiful outside.  I think running errands and just getting out and walking would be the perfect thing to do today!!

Nature's Prints

Today I have used the stamp set, Nature's Prints, and one of the new In Colors, Orchis Oasis, to make this card to share with you.  This is another one of the cards that everyone stamping with me this week got to make.

The Fern 3D Embossing Folder has very quickly become my favorite new embossing folder in this catalog.  It works for just about everything and everyone!!  And if you do not have the new Magnetic Plate for your Stamp, Cut, & Emboss machine you certainly do need one. It definitely helps when cutting around already stamped images . . . no more slippage of the dies and ruined images.  The 2022-2024 In Color Matte Dots complete this monochromatic card.

Stamps: Nature's Prints
Cardstock: Orchid Oasis, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: 2022-2024 In Color 6" X 6"
Ink: Orchid Oasis
Accessories:  Natural Prints Dies, Fern 3D Embossing Folder,
2022-2024 In Color Matte Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Rain, rain, rain . . . .that looks to be the forecast for a couple of days.  Good thing I have a lot of stuff I want to do in the house.  Today after a morning hair appointment I am planning on finishing up some projects I already have started.  A friend is coming down this evening to stamp some cards and visit.  And then of course there is always baseball!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Vintage Tools

Today I have used the stamp set, Vintage Tools and the Designer Series Paper, He's The Man, to make this masculine card to share with you.

This Designer Series Paper has some great masculine patterns in it and they are very easy to mix and match.  This is one of the cards that everyone made last night at Make-It-Monday and I think it was a favorite!!  You might have to have some basic knowledge of woodworking to catch the pun, but I think it turned out pretty cool.

Stamps: Vintage Tools
Cardstock: Gray Granite, Early Espresso, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: He's The Man
Ink: Early Espresso
Accessories:  Stitched Rectangle Dies, Brushed Metallic Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Today is a totally free day with nothing on the schedule.  I have tons of options of things I could and should do, but we shall see what all actually gets done!!

Bottled Happiness

Today I have used the stamp set, Bottled Happiness, to make this card to share with you.

I was a little hesitant to get this set because I thought that the flowers and leaves would be a little challenging to line up perfectly.  Let me tell you . . . it is super easy . . . especially if you use the Stamparatus!!  I love how the stamp gives the illusion of two different colors in the flowers.  Put an embellishment in the center of the flowers and it looks perfect!!  I did stamp off first when stamping the bottle with Soft Succulent ink.  It sure does make it much lighter!!

Stamps:  Bottled Happiness
Cardstock: Evening Evergreen, Sofy Succulent, Basic White
Ink: Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Orchid Oasis
Accessories:  Fabulous Frames Dies, Stamparatus, Vintage Bottle Punch,
Orchid Oasis 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon,  Pearl Basic Jewels,
Mini Glue Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Today brings physical therapy and Make-It-Monday.  Everything is cut, stuffed, and ready to load into the car this afternoon.  I am hoping to make a little headway in cleaning up some piles that have accumulated in my stamping room in between therapy and stamping tonight.

Cup of Tea

Today I am sharing a small treat box that I received when I went to the Girls' Retreat Weekend last month.  I have no idea who actually made these as they were sitting on our table when we arrived.

I also have no idea how to make this box but I thought was too cool not to share.  It is actually all one piece with the lid just folding back rather than coming completely off.  The teacup design on the front was die-cut from the designer series paper, Tea Boutique.

Inside there were some tea bags and some mini Ghiradelli chocolates.  The perfect size for some small treats!!

Stamps: Cup of Tea
Cardstock: Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Tea Boutique, 2022-2024 In Color 6" X 6"
Ink: Starry Sky
Accessories:  Teacup Dies, 2022-2024 Baker's Twine Combo Pack,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Today is going to be a low-key day with a little stamping, a little reading, and baseball. I am hoping to at least get Monday night's Make-it-Monday planned and maybe get started on cutting the cardstock for it. This evening I will be going to a retirement dinner for a former co-worker who is now retiring.  It will be fun to see many people I haven't seen for a while.

He's All That

Today I have used the new stamp set, He's All That, along with the coordinating paper, He's The Man, to make this Father's Day card to share with you.  I took two ideas that my friend, Susie, had and combined them into this one.

It is very hard to see in the photo but the Early Espresso oval has some embossed lines around it for a little added interest.  The double Linen Thread bow is just the right touch for this masculine card.  All cards need some kind of embellishment . . . even masculine cards!

Stamps:  He's All That
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper: He's the Man
Ink: Early Espresso
Accessories:  Fabulous Frames Dies, Spatters Embossing Folder,
Linen Thread, Mini Glue Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Today is a physical therapy day and a running errand day after that.  The Cubs play this afternoon, so I will probably listen to that, hopefully, while in my stamping room getting things ready for Make-It-Monday next week.  And of course, there is always a good book waiting to be read.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happiness Abounds

Today I have used the awesome designer series paper, Hues of Happiness, and the coordinating stamp set, Happiness Abounds, to make this card to share with you.

I have had the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch since it was first released and I think this is the first time I have ever used it.  It works great for this layout.  Although you can barely see it, I have embossed the Gorgeous Grape layer with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder to add a little dimension.  The Glittered Organdy Ribbon adds just the right amount of bling!

Stamps:  Happiness Abounds
Cardstock: Basic White Thick, Pool Party, Gorgeous Grape,
Fresh Freesia, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Hues of Happiness
Ink: Gorgeous Grape
Accessories: Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder, Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch,

Yesterday was a special day.  Even though it was just a formality the court proceedings were pretty exciting.

Of course, we had to stop for pictures before entering the courthouse.

The kids were great during the whole thing and quite excited when their formal names were read.  They each got to pick out a stuffed animal from a box to remember this exciting day.  The choices were a bear, a skunk, a puppy, and a purple hippopotamus.  We celebrated with lunch afterward and then Johan and Hanna took me on a tour of their school and Johan introduced me to all of his favorite people there.  I love these words from Hanna's Facebook post  . . . In the words of Adrian, “We went to the castle and got aBopted!”.    A special day, indeed!

He's All That

Today I have used the stamp set, He's All that, and the coordinating paper, He's the Man to make this card to share with you.

Once again the combining of designer series paper is easy with this package as they all coordinate together.  I figured this was a great card for today as you'll see below.

Stamps: He's All That
Cardstock: crumb cake, Mint Macaron, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: He's the Man
Ink: Early Espresso Ink
Accessories:  Layering Circles Dies, Rustic Metallis Adhesive Backed Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

As soon as I am done posting this John and I are headed out the door to Adel again.  Hanna and Jake have their US court date this morning for the final step in the adoption process and we are going to be there!!  Every day is certainly an adventure with these four kids!!

Happiness Abounds

Today I have used the Happiness Abounds set again along with the coordinating paper, Hues of Happiness to make this card to share with you.  It is one of this week's Cards in the Mail.

This is another fun fold card opening at both the top and bottom.  As with many Cards in the Mail, the designer series paper does all the work and this one is no exception.  The Hues of Happiness paper is certainly awesome.  I did try putting a Melon Mabo scalloped layer under the white sentiment but felt like the sentiment popped much more with just the white.

Stamps: Happiness Abounds
Cardstock: MelonMambo, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Hues of Happiness
Ink: Melon Mambo
Accessories:  Stitched Greenery Die, Double Oval Punch,
Brushed Brass Butterflies,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Today is going to be a take it easy day!!  I have a few stamping projects I want to finish up, and some new stamp sets to assemble, but other than that, my day is totally free.  If it doesn't decide to rain the afternoon may be spent on the back porch with a glass of iced tea and a good book.

Charming Sentiments

Today I have used the new stamp set Charming Sentiments and the fun designer series paper, Butterfly Kisses to make this card to share with you.  Charming Sentiments is just what it says . . . it has a lot of fun sentiments in fun fonts.

This is a fun fold card with flaps opening from both the right and the left.  I did have to fussy cut the butterflies out of the designer series paper.  This is such a bright and cheery card in person . . . sometimes someone just needs to know that everything will be okay!!

Stamps: Charming Sentiments
Cardstock: Fresh Freesia,  Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Butterfly Kisses
Ink: Starry Sky
Accessories:  2022-2024 In Color Baker's Twine, Pearl Basic Jewels,
Mini Glue Dots,

Today is a day of appointments . . . Physical therapy, a tire rotation, and another appointment in Coralville.  They are all spaced out, so I plan on taking a good book with me and finding a sunny spot to read between them.  Tonight is family book club and I am not done with the book yet so hopefully I will have time to finish it today.

Blessings of June

Today I have used the Blessings of Home stamp set to make this card to share with you.  Again this is one that I made at an event of Susie's and that was a Make-It-Monday card last week.  I think it was well liked by all.

How can you possibly go wrong with a black and white card?    With a changeout of sentiment this card would be perfect for just about any occasion . . . Happy Birthday, Sympathy, Thinking of You.  I have struggled with this stamp set a bit in ways to use it without a lot of coloring and this is a perfect way to do that.

Stamps: Blessings of Home
Cardstock: Basic Black, Basic White
Ink: Memento Ink
Accessories:  Matte Black Dots, Black & White 1/4" Gingham Ribbon,
Mini Glue Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

As soon as I am done posting this John and I are to the door to head to Adel to spend the day with Hanna, Jake, and the kids.  It should be a perfect weather day so we can be outside, the kids can play, and we can visit.  No stamping in the forecast today . . . just fun family times!!

What are product shares and why would you want them you might ask??

He's All That

With a change out of some designer series paper that is current, today I am sharing another one of the cards that I made at Susie's event.  The Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper is all black and white . . . one side is flowers and the other side is geometric patterns.  I have a feeling the patterned side of this paper will be used quite often.

One punch that is retired and that I used on this card was the Triple Banner Punch.  I love the look of the flagged end and I am terrible at cutting it evenly!!!  If you have this punch I would advise never getting rid of it!!!  As you can see, I used it three times on just this one card.

Stamps: He's All That
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Basic Black, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Perfectly Penciled
Ink: Memento Black
Accessories:  Pearl Basic Jewels,
Stampin' Dimensionals

A whole day with nothing on my schedule . . . I will take it.  I have a feeling it is going to be too warm to do much outside so crafting it is!!  Hopefully I can get my product shares all cut and packaged and ready to go today!!
