Amazing Phrases

Today is the last day of Sale-a-Bration so I have used two Sale-a-Bration items in my card . . . the stamp set, Amazing Phrases, and the designer series paper, Rings of Love.

This is a layout that I am going to keep in my collection!  It would be great for just about any occasion and using any coordinating designer series paper.  I am sure you will see it crop up a time or two in the future!!

Go-To-Greetings

Today I have used the Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper, Wonderful World to create this card to share with you.  You have today and tomorrow to get your Sale-A-Bration items.

These flowers are the perfect size for this Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch.  This is one of the cards that is in this week's Cards in The Mail.  After I get everybody's kits mailed out I am planning on punching out the rest of the flowers and mass producing thank you or sympathy cards.

Stamps: Go-To-Greetings

Accessories:  Stylish Shapes Dies, Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder,

One swap down, two to go!!  Yesterday's project swap card took a little longer than I thought it would but I love the way it turned out.  I will be sharing it after the event in September.  Today I hope to get the other two swap cards done so that I can get them in the mail.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Charming Sentiments

Today I am using the stamp set, Charming Sentiments, and the Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper, Wonderful World to make this card to share with you.

One of the pieces of designer series paper has these gorgeous flowers on it.  I did use my paper snips and fussy cut all of them out.  A lot of work, but worth it.  I also fussy cut the sentiment out, but then realized there is a die to cut those out!!  Add some embellishment and my card is done.

Stamps: Charming Sentiments
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Basic White, Vellum
Designer Series Paper: Wonderful World
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Accessories:  Paper Snips, Heart Pearls, Stampin' Dimensionals

I have a plan for today . . . instead of not knowing what I got accomplished in a day, today I want to get both of my swaps done for an event that I can not attend but am still participating in the swap.  Since I haven't been able to go for a couple of years, this year I am taking advantage of all of the home football games and I can't wait.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Amazing Phrases

You only have four more days to get any Sale-a-Bration items you might want!!  I have used two of them on this card . . . the stamp sets, Amazing Phrases, and Hippest Hippos.  This is a card I made at a demo even back in July and was provided by my friend, Susie.  It was also a card we made on a Make-It-Monday.

If you do not have a Stamparatus in your tool bag you really should get one.  I used it to hinge-stamp the words down the right-hand side of the card.  And who knew you could make the hippos into cows just by the way you color them!!!  Another Sale-a-Bration item was used to die-cut the hippo . . . the Hippo Dies.

Stamps: Hippest Hippos, Amazing Phrases (Both Sale-a-Bration)
Cardstock: Real Red, Smoky Slate, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Sweetest Christmas
Ink: Memento Black, Real Red
Stampin' Blends:  Real Red Combo Pack, Light Combo Pack,
Basic Black Combo Pack
Accessories:  Hippo Dies (Sale-a-Bration)Stamparatus, Metallic Mesh Ribbon,
Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brish, Mini Glue Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Another day . . . another free day . . . as are most of them this week!!  You would think I would be using them to get some things done for upcoming craft shows, but no . . . I seem to be whiling them away with nothing to show for it!!  I guess that is okay . . . just not my usual!!  I am sure it will get busier here in a little while . . . I should enjoy the less busy days while they are here!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Stylish Sketches

Today I have used the Sale-a-Bration stamp set, Stylish Sketches, again to make this card to share with you.  This is a card that I saw on my friend, Susie's, site and liked the way she used this stamp set.

The ducks are stamped onto Thick Basic White cardstock and then colored with Watercolor Pencils and blended with the Blender Pens.  The thick white cardstock did not smear or become muddy like the regular Basic White cardstock.

Stamps: Stylish Sketches (Sale-a-Bration), Cottage Rose
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Thick Basic White, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Rings of Love (Sale-a-Bration)
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessories:  Layering Circles Dies, Tree Rings Embossing Folder,
Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pens, Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Another day with nothing on the agenda . . . I might go to Iowa City and pick up some prescriptions and run some other errands.  Stamping and scrapbooking are definitely on the agenda for this afternoon.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Stylish Shapes

Today I have used three different stamps sets to make this card to share with you . . . Stylish Sketches, Watercolor Shapes, and Go-To-Greetings.  This is another one of the cards everyone stamping on Monday night got to make.

We had quite a discussion about what those berries might actually be.  I was thinking of ground cherries, but I am not totally sure.  At any rate . . . I colored them to coordinate with the cardstock base.  I must say . . . this was not my favorite Sale-a-Bration stamp set but felt that I had to at least use it a couple of times.

Stamps:  Stylish Sketches (Sale-a-Bration), Watercolor Shapes, Go-To Greetings
Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Pool Party, Basic White
Ink: Memento Black, Cajun Craze, So Saffron,
Pool Party, Blushing Bride
Stampin' Blends:  Cajun Craze Combo Pack, Granny Apple Green Combo Pack
Accessories:  Stylish Shapes Dies, Champagne Rhinestones,
Stampin' Dimensionals

I am not sure where all of my free days are coming from but I will take them.  Today is another day with absolutely nothing on the agenda!!  It will probably be like the last several . . . .stamping, reading, and baseball!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Hippest Hippos

Today I have used two Sale-a-Bration items to make this card to share with you . . . the Hippest Hippos stamp set and the Rings of Love Designer Series Paper.  If you don't have both of these you have until the 31st of August to get them!

I usually do not use this size of designer series paper for a layer on the front of a card, but this time I decided I did not want any of the base color of the card to show.  It definitely takes more paper, but I do like the look of it.  I made these characters into the hippos they are supposed to be, but it would look equally as cute if you made them into cows.

Stamps: Hippest Hippos (Sale-a-Bration)
Cardstock: Mint Macaron, Poppy Parade, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Rings of Love (Sale-a-Bration)
Ink: Memento Black, Poppy Parade
Stampin' Blends:  Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend Combo Pack,
Poppy Parade Stampin' Blend Combo Pack,
Gray Granite Stampin' Blend Combo Pack,
Old Olive Stampin' Blend Combo Pack
Accessories:  Double Oval Punch, Metallic Mesh Ribbon,
Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush, Mini Glue Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Two big jobs accomplished yesterday . . . all of my stampin' bookwork is caught up to date and I also got pictures taken of all remaining garage sale items and have them listed on my Facebook group page!!  It feels good to have those two things done.    Today is going to be a stamping, baseball kind of day . . . stamping in the morning, baseball in the afternoon!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Peaceful Moments

Today I have used the stamp set, Peaceful Moments, and the Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper, Rings of Love, to make this card to share with you.  This is a card I made at a demo get-together a while back and was provided by my friend, Susie.  It was also one of the Cards in the Mail cards several weeks ago.

Once again we have used the Stampin' Blends to color in the 3/8" Gold & Vanilla Satin-Edged Ribbon.  Just think of the possibilities for colors of ribbons!!  I can't wait . . . I know I ordered a couple more rolls of this ribbon so I have it on hand!

Stamps: Peaceful Moments
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Crushed Curry, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Rings of Love (Sale-a-Bration
Ink: Night of Navy
Stampin' Blends:  Night of Navy Combo Pack
Accessories:  Layering Circles Dies, Decorative Circle Punch,
Festive Pearls, Gold & Vanilla 3/8" Satin-Edged Ribbon,
Mini Glue Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday was mostly a day of rest . . . but try as I might I can not just sit and do nothing!!  So . . . I worked on catching up on my bookwork while watching the Cubs double header.  The first game was certainly worth watching . . . the nightcap . . . not so much!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Wonderful World

Today I have used the Sale-a-Bration stamp set and designer series paper, Wonderful World to make this card to share with you.  It also uses another Sale-a-Bration stamp set, Amazing Phrases as well.

I used the Mossy Meadow, Pacific Point, and Highland Heather Stampin' Write Markers to color directly onto the stamp, then blew on it and stamped my image.  I love the way it turned out!!  I am not sure what kind of flowers these are, but I do like them in these colors!  I stamped the sentiment and then fussy cut around it.

Stamps: Wonderful World, Amazing Phrases (Both Sale-a-Bration)
Cardstock: Highland Heather, Pacific Point, Mint Macaron,
Mossy Meadow,  Basic White
Ink: Memento Black
Stampin' Write Markers:  Pacific Point, Mossy Meadow, Highland Heather
Accessories:  Scallop Contours Dies, Adhesive Backed Sequins,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Rest, Rest, Rest!!  That is what is on the agenda today!!!  Hanna texted late Sunday morning to ask if I wanted to go to the State Fair Sunday night to hear one of the free concerts.  She was taking her small group and some of the other moms were going to go.  I had wanted to go to the fair anyway this year so I said sure.  I now know my new knee can walk quite a bit as we walked over five miles around the fair.  It was a late night Sunday night and I was up early yesterday morning to watch the kids when both Hanna and Jake went to work.  I left Adel at about 2:30 and got to Kalona at about 4:50 . . . just in time for Make-It-Monday.   I was one tired girl when I got home from that . . . went straight to bed!!!  I am thinking there's really nothing I have to accomplish today so rest it is!!  I may try to get caught up on my bookwork, but we shall see!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Ringed With Nature

Today I have used the Ringed With Nature stamp set and the coordinating Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper, Rings of Love, to make this card to share with you.  This is the last of last week's Cards in the Mail.

I am loving using the Stampin' Blends to color this Gold & Vanilla ribbon to make it any color you want!!  This would be a great housewarming card for someone moving into a new home!!

Happiness Abounds

Today I have used the Happiness Abounds stamp set and the Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper, Wonderful World, to make this card to share with you.

It doesn't show up very well in the photo but the Stitched Greenery Die cuts on the Rich Razzleberry cardstock echo the look of the flowers and the leaves in the designer series paper.  Some pearl embellishments and we are done.

I actually got everything accomplished yesterday that I wanted to.  Everything is ready and waiting to be loaded into the car, including everything we will need for Make-It-Monday tomorrow.  I am headed to Adel this afternoon so I can be there tomorrow morning to watch the boys as Hanna and Jake both have to work and they are not in school yet.  Shayra started preschool last week.  My plan is to leave their place in enough time to make it to Make-It-Monday by 5:00.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Hello Harvest

Today I have used the Hello Harvest stamp set and the coordinating paper, Rustic Harvest, to create this card to share with you.  It does use quite a bit of designer series paper but I sure do think it is worth it!

The Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper is awesome.  Sometimes I have trouble pattern mixing, but the patterns in this package of paper all seem to go together beautifully so there is no hesitation to mix and match.  I did fussy cut a small leaf from the paper to add to the sentiment piece along with the Amber Gems from the Leaf Label & Amber Gem Combo Pack.  They are a much brighter color in person than the photo shows.

This is a funky fold card with the smaller flap opening to reveal the space for your message.  Not a lot of space for writing, but sometimes that is okay!!

Stamps: Hello Harvest
Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Rustic Harvest
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Accessories:  Deckled Rectangle Dies,
Leaf Label & Amber Gem Combo Pack,
Stampin' Dimensionals

The last weekend before school starts . . . it seems like I should be doing something special . . . but there is nothing special on the agenda other than the ordinary . . . gathering supplies for Make-It-Monday and finishing up the samples, watching the Cubs on TV, and maybe a little reading or cross-stitching.  I do have some other stamping projects I could start if I actually get all of that done!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Ringed With Nature

Today I have again used the Ringed With Nature stamp set and the coordinating designer series paper, Rings of Love to make this card to share with you.  If you do not have your Rings of Love sale-a-Bration item yet you will want to get it . . . .the patterns are very cool!!

The rectangles have been die cut with the Deckled Rectangle Dies.  I haven't used them much but they sure do cut easily and add a little something extra to the paper.  I also used a full quarter sheet of Mint Macaron for my embossed piece this time.  I wanted to give the illusion of a tree and it just worked better using the full quarter of a sheet rather than a smaller layer.

Stamps: Ringed With Nature
Cardstock: Mint Macaron, Night of Navy, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Rings of Love (Sale-a-Bration)
Accessories:  Stylish Shapes Dies, Deckled Rectangle Dies,
Timber 3D Embossing Folder, Versamark, Basic Embossing Powders,
Heat Tool, Basic Rhinestone Jewels,

I safely delivered my boxes of designer series paper to the school yesterday.  After having gone several years without being in any of the buildings, I have now been in two of them in two days.  I think I am good for a while!!  I also got the Cards in The Mail cards all cut, stuffed into envelopes, and ready for mailing.  Today I have plans to finish getting everything ready for Monday night!!

Ringed With Nature

Today I have used the Ringed With Nature stamp set, and the coordinating Sale-a-Bration item, Rings of Love Designer Series Paper to make this card to share with you.  The Ringed With Nature stamp set was not really even on my radar until I started looking at the sentiments and decided I had to have it!!

I stamped the sentiment on one of the tree rings that I fussy cut from the paper.  It is light enough to show up quite well as long as you use a darker colored ink.  The embossed layer used the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder which has a die that would cut the tree rings out if I so chose.  I will probably use it more as just an embossing folder.

Stamps: Ringed With Nature
Cardstock: Soft Suede, So Saffron, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Rings of Love
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessories:  Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder, Brushed Metallic Dots,
Gold & Vanilla 3/8" Satin Stitched Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday ended up being a very productive day!!  After the eye appointment, I met my friend Luetta for lunch, saw her classroom and visited with another friend from Washington Township teaching days, came home and cut off and froze three dozen ears of corn, made some peach crisp, got directions written up for Cards in the Mail, planned next Monday's Make-It-Monday, and finished my book!!  Phew . . .it makes me tired just typing it all out!!

Today after an early morning haircut and a stop at the school to deliver some boxes of leftover designer series paper to the art department, I am planning on cutting cardstock and maybe even doing a little scrapbooking.  I picked up quite a few pictures on Tuesday morning so I should be good to go for several pages!!

Lovely & Lasting

Today I have used the stamp set, Lovely & Lasting, and the gorgeous designer series paper, Rustic Harvest to make this card to share with you.  This is one I made last month and was a shoebox swap that my friend, Susie provided.

This was also a Cards in the Mail card at the beginning of August.  The colors in this paper are so rich and vibrant that you really don't need much else.  The Brushed Brass Butterfly is the perfect embellishment to tie in with the butterfly on the designer paper.

Stamps: Lovely & Lasting
Cardstock: Basic Black, Mossy Meadow, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Rustic Harvest
Ink: Memento Black
Accessories:  Stylish Shapes Dies, Label Me Lovely Punch,
Brushed Brass Butterflies, Gold 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Today is eye appointment day.  I am hoping we can get in and out in good fashion so that I can meet Luetta for one last lunch before school starts for her tomorrow.  Then freezing corn and making peach crisp will be on the agenda for the rest of the day.  Hopefully, a little scrapbooking this afternoon as well.

Inspired Thoughts

Today I have used the Inspired Thoughts stamp set and the Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper package to make this card to share with you.

This card is identical to the last three in the supplies that are used.  It was one of the cards everyone made at Technique/Stamp Club last Thursday.  We worked with a 6" X 6" One Sheet Wonder technique.

You start by cutting your 6" X 6" piece of paper or cardstock in half both ways giving you four squares.

One of those squares you set aside and the other three you cut in different ways.  One is cut into 1" strips, one is cut into four squares, and one is cut diagonally.

Here are the four cards altogether.  As you can see it is an easy way to make several cards at once.  These have different sentiments on them, but the ladies Thursday night decided to make them all sympathy cards.

Stamps:  Inspired Thoughts

Designer Series Paper: Happy est GriendsFor
Ink: Mossy Meadow

Today is another running around kind of day.  I have several errands to run before meeting a friend and making one last trip to the stitching store before school starts.  I may have another convert to stitching!!

Today I have used the Inspired Thoughts stamps set and the Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper to make this card to share with you.

We made it to Adel and back yesterday safely.  There was lots of traffic on the way home, but luckily it flowed smoothly.  After church, we headed to Des Moines to have lunch, and then John and I came home.  We were home early enough to relax before the day was over.

Today I have one thing on my agenda . . . finishing my book before Family Zoom Book Club tonight.  How awful to have to sit and read!  Just kidding!!

Ever Eden

Today I have again used the stamp set, Ever Eden, and the designer series paper, Happy Forest Friends to make this card to share with you.  This is another one of the cards we made at Technique/Stamp Club on Thursday night.

And just like yesterday . . . add a sentiment and an embellishment and your card is done!!  I love when I can find ways to make cardmaking easy-peasy!

As soon as I am done posting this John and I are headed out the door to Adel because the kids are being dedicated at church this morning.  We will head home mid-afternoon after having lunch with Hanna, Jake, and the kids.  Two weeks in a row spending time with them . . . in my happy place.

Ever Eden

Today I have used the Ever Eden stamp set and the Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper Package to make this card to share with you.

I am not a fan of the animal prints in this pack of Designer Series Paper but the prints on the other side are pretty cool . . . so cool in fact that I had to order a couple more packages!!  Once again, add a sentiment and some embellishment and you are good to go!!

Nature's Prints

Last night was the second Thursday of the month but since I was gone last week we had Technique/Stamp Club last night.  One of the techniques we worked with was the Recessed Panel Card.

This technique is not difficult once you get the hang of it!!  You just need to have patience and make sure you are cutting your dry embossed piece of cardstock properly.  And you need to not be afraid to use dimensionals . . . you need a lot of them to be sure your card shows the recess.

Stamps: Nature's Prints
Cardstock: Basic White Thick, Night of Navy, Pacific Point, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Sun Prints
Accessories: Fern 3D Embossing Folder, Versamark,

Today is going to be another errand running day . . . a stop at Goodwill to drop some stuff off, groceries, and to pick up some medications.  It seems like I am always doing that . . . you would think I could get them all on the same trip but insurance doesn't seem to get that.  LOL

Stamping and a book will be on the agenda when I get home!  And of course, there is always baseball!!

Fond of Autumn

Today I have used the Fond of Autumn stamp set and the coordinating dies to make this card to share with you.  This is a card that I took to a card swap and also one that everyone made last Monday night at Make-It-Monday.

There is once again a lot of coloring on this card, but again I think it is worth it.  You can by-pass coloring the acorns on the stamped image because they get covered up.  The strips of paper set diagonally on the card tie in the colors in the flowers.  I made them a little longer than they needed to be, adhered them, and then cut off the excess along the edges.

Stamps: Fond of Autumn
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze,
Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow,
Basic White
Ink: Memento Black, Early Espresso
Stampin' Blends:  Pumpkin Pie Combo Pack, Crumb Cake Combo Pack,
Cajun Craze Combo Pack, Mossy Meadow Combo Pack,
Stampin' Dimensionals Olive Combo Pack,
Accessories: Autumn Bouquet Dies, Rustic Mettalic Adhesive Backed Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

The stamp room has been semi-tackled, but there is plenty left to do in there.  I did finally get all of my July-December 2022 Mini Catalog stuff organized and put on the proper shelves.  Today I had probably better get ready for Technique/Stamp Club that is tonight.  We postponed it a week since I was traveling last week.  I know what we are doing, I just need to get everything ready.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Splendid Thoughts

Today I have used the Splendid Thoughts stamp set and the coordinating dies, Splendid Stems to make this card to share with you.  This is one of the cards that everyone made on Monday night and one that my friend, Christy, brought to our demo meeting for us all to make.

I love the use of the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder on the Crumb Cake pot.  It makes it look so much more realistic.  The outline of the leaves and the solid leaves are not lined up at all, but they are not meant to line up.  That is my kind of stamping . . . you can't tell that I can't line things up properly!!

Stamps: Splendid Thoughts
Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Wonderful World
Ink: Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories:  Splendid Stems Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies,
Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder, Linen Thread, Rustic
Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots,

After a morning salon appointment, I am going to tackle straightening up my stamp room, so that I can find things again.  That does seem to be a never-ending job.  Not quite sure why, but it is.  "Creative minds are rarely tidy."  I must be VERY creative!!  LOL

Sunny Splash

After spending so much time in the pool on our Girls' Weekend Get-a-way, I thought this card using the Sunny Splash stamp set was pretty appropriate.  There was a lot of splashing with Little Miss Shayra.  This is also one of the cards that everyone made last night at Make-It-Monday.

I layered a piece of black cardstock under the Coastal Cabana strip that was die cut with the Dots & Spots Die to tie in the buttons on the swimsuit.  Dots & Spots is one of the Sale-a-Bration items you can get this month.

Stamps: Sunny Splash
Cardstock: Coastal Cabana, Basic Black, Basic White
Ink: Coastal Cabana, Memento Black
Accessories:  Dots & Spots (Sale-a-Bration), Stylish Shapes, Matte Black Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

I am off again today to run errands and pick up some things that I found I just have to have after our Girls' Trip!!  I am sure Luetta and I can fit in lunch somewhere good as well.  There may be a little stamping this afternoon . . . we shall see.
