Spring Corners
Looking out the window it is hard to believe spring is still a ways away. The sun is shining brightly and you can't really tell how cold out it is. I have a couple more Spring Corners cards to share with you before we move on to another stamp set or product.
This card uses a technique I don't use very often and with good reason. Paper piecing can be very time consuming and I don't really have the patience for it but I really liked this card so decided to give it a try. I only pieced the buds and the leaves. The petals on the flowers are the designer series paper showing through. I used a dotto adhesive and as you can see it leaves a residue. If I were going to make another card with this technique I would use the Tombow Green Glue and just put a dot where I was going to place my piece. I think it would make a nicer finished card. As you can see very plainly in this photo I also need to change my cutting blade on my paper cutter. I did not realize it was that bad until I looked at the photo.
I ended up running up to Iowa City yesterday to get John some things that he wanted to eat and drink. I was going to wait until today when it was warmer, but decided getting them was more important than warmth. The good news is that means I can stay home today and tomorrow and either craft or read, or a little of both. I made a casserole for supper last night and there is plenty left for leftover so my jobs are done for today!!
Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!
Happy Stamping!!
