Bravo

Bravo was one of those sets that I bought quite a while ago but it had never seen ink until recently.  It actually makes a pretty awesome graduation card!!

All of my sample graduation cards are in Mid-Prairie colors so that I can use them later this year but these would look great in any school colors!!

Stamps:  Bravo
Cardstock:  Crushed Curry, Basic Black, Whisper White, Stacked With Love DSP Stack
Ink:  Memento Black Ink
Accessories: 5/8" Whisper White Satin Ribbon, Large Oval Punch, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack,
Neutral Candy Dots, Whisper White Baker's Twine,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Today has not exactly gone as planned, hence the late post.  Yesterday my car was at the doctor for a minor repair and today I decided to take myself to the doctor for a minor infection.  All is good, just time consuming.

I think rest and fluids are on my agenda for the rest of the day!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Yippee Skippee

Here is another one of the cards everyone got to make at Make-It-Monday.  I am not sure you can ever have too much happy so I definitely love this sentiment.

Pairing it with Gorgeous Grunge just seems to go together like ketchup and mustard or something like that.

Stamps:  Yippee Skippee, Gorgeous Grunge
Cardstock:  Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Sweet Taffy DSP
Ink:  Tempting Turquoise, Baked Brown Sugar
Accessories:  Apothecary Accents, Big Shot,
Tea Lace Doilies, Stampin Dimensionals

My car is in the repair shop today so I am grounded for a while.  I guess there is nothing better to do than spend it in my stamp room.  I love that I can have the windows open in there and hear the birds singing while I am stamping away.  The weather can stay this way as far as I am concerned!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Painted Petals

A while back one of the Facebook groups that I follow posted a picture of a little purse like this that would hold 3" X 3" cards.  I loved the color scheme so decided to make some in the larger purses I have been making that will hold several regular size 5.5" X 4.25" cards.  I love the color scheme and how these turned out.

Stamps:  Painted Blooms, Petal Potpourri
Cardstock:  Pacific Point, Whisper White, Back to Black DSP
Ink:  Black Memento Ink
Accessories:  Flower Medallion Punch, Basic Pearl Jewels, Stampin' Dimensionals

These would make absolutely awesome Mother's Day gifts or even Teacher Appreciation Week (which is coming up next week) gifts.

I have had a blast making these and have several more I am planning on trying!!

Today is my volunteer day at Hospice and then I plan on coming home and spending the rest of the day stamping away!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Blue Ribbon

Here is another one of the cards that everyone will be making this week.   I have had this set for quite a while and haven't used it all that much.  Since it is retiring in a few weeks I probably should ink it up more often

Maybe it is my elementary background, but I do think it goes well with the Alphabet Embossing Folder.

Stamps:  Blue Ribbon
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Basic Black, Gold Foil
Ink:  Memento Black Ink
Accessories:  Alphabet Embossing Folder,
Texture Boutique Machine, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch,
Stampin Dimensionals

I am not quite sure how this happened, but I actually have everything ready to go for tonight and sitting by the door waiting to be loaded in the car.  I started a good book while sitting at the craft show yesterday so I may just finish it this afternoon.

Every day is a gift . . . make this most of the gift you have been given today!!

Graduation cards have been at the top of my priority list for a while. I am planning on taking orders for custom cards at my craft shows, so I have several that I will be showing you in the future.  I wanted there to be plenty of options for people to chose from.

This hat is so easy to make from a strip of paper and a square.  I still have several sitting on my table waiting to be used.

Stamps:  Bravo
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Whisper White
Ink:  Memento Black Ink
Accessories:  Lucky Stars Embossing Folder, Texture Boutique Machine,

Class of 2015

After finishing Hanna's albums I was definitely in the mood to work on school related things so finally got to work on more graduation cards.  This idea came from Pinterest, but changed up the colors to match our school and the Iowa Hawkeyes!!

It is hard to see in the photo but the black layer has been embossed with the stars embossing folder as well.

Cardstock:  Crushed Curry, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink:  Memento Black Ink
Accessories:  Circle Collection Framelits, Banner Collection Framelits, Lucky Stars Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Stampin' Dimensionals

Gorgeous Grunge

Like mother, like daughter!!  It did not surprise me at all when Hanna said she wanted scrapbooks for the thirteen students in her advisory class.    They make such a wonderful keepsake!!

With the help of My Digital Studio and my computer we were able to get the quotes and sayings she wanted.

I think they turned out pretty neat.  The match exactly the birthday cards I had made for her to give them on their birthdays.

I do think next year I will start on them more than a week before she needs them, however!!

Stamps:  Gorgeous Grunge
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Perfect Plum, Basic Gray, Whisper White
Ink:  Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, Smoky Slate
Accessories:  Chevron Border Punch, Whisper White Baker's Twine,
Basic Rhinestone Jewels, Sticky Strip

Now that this project is done I will be finishing up things today for a craft show on Sunday and starting to plan Make-It-Monday cards for next week.  I love being retired!!!

Lovely As A Tree

I thought this sympathy card from the last batch I made was quite appropriate for today.  I don't think Lovely as a Tree will EVER go on the retired list.  It was actually the second stamp set I bought and that was over 13 years ago!!!  I still use it a lot!!!

The monochromatic card has really started growing on me.  John says it needs a hint of color, but I am pretty happy with it as it is.

Stamps:  Lovely as a Tree, Love & Sympathy
Cardstock:  Very Vanilla
Ink:  Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Accessories:  Label Collection Framelits, Big Shot,
Stampin Sponges, Stampin Dimensionals

Hopefully today will bring an end to the project I am doing for Hanna and I can continue  getting ready for my craft show on Sunday.  I have all these ideas running around in my head that I would like to try and get done.

Serene Silhouttes

Sympathy cards are not something I really enjoy making but they do need to be made.  Here is another one of the cards I made recently.

I did use a retired stamp set for the sentiment but it just seemed to fit the card.

Stamps:  Serene Silhouettes
Cardstock:  Very Vanilla
Ink:  Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Memento Black
Accessories:  Window Collection Framelits, Big Shot,
Stampin' Sponges, Stampin' Dimensionals

Today is my volunteer morning at Hospice.  After running a few errands while I am in the city, I am hoping to continue working on Hanna's project.

Moon Lake

My aqua painters and water color paper have been getting a workout lately. While scanning Pinterest to find some inspiration for the last of the sympathy cards I needed, I came across this one.  Believe it or not I already had the goose laying on my stamping table all ready to go just waiting for the perfect card.

Well here it is!!  I love the touch of the wood grained embossed piece of Soft Sky behind the main image.

Stamps:  Moon Lake, Love & Sympathy
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Soft Sky, Very Vanilla, Watercolor Paper
Ink:  Black Stazon, Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi, Crumb Cake
Accessories:  Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Texture Boutique Machine,

Painted Blooms Cotton Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals

Today promises to be a busy day . . . the start of a busy week.  I need to put the finishing touches on the sympathy cards and deliver them.  I am meeting some friends for lunch and then need to do some grocery shopping.  When I get home I am starting on Hanna's big project so that her sister can take it to her next Saturday when they meet up.  Stay tuned for pictures!!

Class of 2015

I finally found the time to make some of the graduation cards that have been floating around in my head ever since I saw this stamp when the Occasions Catalog first came out.  I knew it would be perfect for my gift card holders!!

Kinda Eclectic

And . . . it is more butterflies!!!  Another card I found on Pinterest and that everyone made this week.

The Bermuda Bay and the Wisteria Wonder make a great color combination!! This was a favorite of people that were stamping with me this week.

Ink:  Bermuda Bay, Wisteria Wonder
Accessories:  Elegant Butterfly Punch, Bitty Butterfly Punch,

Yesterday afternoon was spent on getting caught up on all of my bookwork, so since there is nothing I have to do today or no where I have to be, I am hoping to spend the majority of it in my stamp room, working on various things. Actually, the whole weekend looks to be very low key so I hope to get LOTS done!!

Today I am planning on cutting cardstock for Make-It-Monday tomorrow night. The cards are all planned, I just need to get things cut, supplies gathered up, and everything organized.  I hope you can join me.

Petal Potpourri

Here is one of the gift card holders I am making for a lady in Davenport.  They will open up like the gift card holders I made here.  These are so fun and easy to make.  She ordered several of them so you will be seeing a lot of gift cards holders in the next few days.

I really struggled on what to put on the bottom of the card so decided to add a few jewels that I colored in with a Sharpie.

Cardstock:  Garden Green, Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral, Whisper White
Ink:  Calypso Coral, Crisp Gantaloupe, Garden Green, Metallic Gold Encore Ink

Vivid Vases

Last night at Techniques Club we worked on alternatives to the markers for coloring in stamped images now that Blendabilities are no longer available.

We used the blender pens to color in the vases and the flowers.    I think the pens were a big hit with all that were there.  We all talked about how we have always liked to color!!

Butterfly Basics

Here is a card I worked on yesterday for an order that I needed to fill for some cards.  I love the way Gorgeous Grunge makes the perfect background for the butterflies.

Gorgeous Grunge hadn't seen any ink in quite some time, but I can tell you it will stay sitting on my stamp table because it really is perfect for backgrounds. I got it out for a project I am working on for Hanna (photos later) and decided to just leave it out.

Stamps:  Butterfly Basics, Gorgeous Grunge
Cardstock:  Basic Gray, Whisper White
Ink:  Basic Gray, Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe
Accessories:  Basic Pearl Jewels, Stampin' Dimensionals

Today I need to finish getting ready for Technique Club tonight.  We will be using our AquaPainters and Blender Pens for coloring now that Blendabilities are no longer available.  I also have a bunch of errands to run.  I am not sure why they always seem to take longer than I would like but that is the way it goes.

Everyday is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!
