Fabulous Four

Here is another graduation card I made last week.  It is exactly the same layout as the card I made here, just with a different focal point and different colors . . . same stamp exactly!!

These went together so easily!!  I used washi tape from my stash that matched my color scheme so I am not exactly sure which stacks these came from.  If you want to make some of these and have no washi tape, strips of designer series paper in your schools colors would work just as well!!

Stamps: Fabulous Four
Yardstick: Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper:
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Various Washi Tape, Regal Candy Dots,
Candy Dot Bases, Crushed Curry Baker's Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals

I did get my order of graduation cards delivered yesterday and am planning on starting an order of sympathy cards today.  Since it is supposed to rain all day today and tomorrow I am hoping to get them all done and start on Hanna's scrapbooks for this year!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Fabulous Four

Fabulous Four has such awesome sentiments in it!!  I would think anyone would love to receive a card telling them how awesome, spectacular, and fantastic they are!!

This is another one of the cards that everyone made last Monday night.

Stamps: Fabulous Four, Flower Patch
Cardstock: Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper:
Ink: Basic Black, Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, Mossy Meadow Marker

I am hoping to get my graduation cards delivered to the store today.    We will have to see.

I can hardly believe that I have absolutely no weekend plans . . . and since it looks like it is going to be rainy, either books or stamping will be calling my name.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Bravo

I have been working hard on graduation cards lately.  Here is a less traditional card, yet conveys the message perfectly.

This sketch definitely works better when the school colors are two colors other than one of them being white, but I think you could work it out around that.

Stamps: Bravo
Yardstick: Basic Black, Tangleo Twist, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper:
Ink: Tangleo Twist, Basic Black
Accessories: Stripes Embossing Folder, Stars Framelits, Big Shot,
Stars Border Punch, Fine Tip Glue Pen

Looks like we are in for another rainy day.  I know my walk got postponed again today because of the weather.  Maybe tomorrow.

Today I am taking a friend to an appointment again and will spend my day researching new card ideas and maybe make a new wish list for the new Idea Book and Catalog!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

I am definitely going to miss this stamp set and this saying.  I think I can honestly say that I have been doing this for the last ten and a half years.  You never know what is going to happen in the future so enjoy your time now!!

I just got home from my morning of volunteering at Hospice and then running an errand for Hanna so she can take advantage of a couple of hours of free graduate credit.  I had forgotten how busy downtown Iowa City can be.  It took me forty minutes to find a parking space for a five minute errand!!  But it is done.

Rest is on the agenda this afternoon before we meet our daughter and son-in-law for supper tonight.

Everything Eleanor

I have always loved the sentiment in the stamp set "You've Got This" from the first moment I saw it.

The flourishes in Everything Eleanor compliment the card well.  I remember when Hanna won this set at convention she was absolutely thrilled!!  I didn't think I would use it much, but I have and am sorry to see it leave at the end of May.

Today I am finishing up getting things ready for tomorrow night.  Later on today John and I are going to the funeral visitation for one of friend's dad and then probably out for supper.

It sure is a beautiful day out . . . or at least it looks that way out my stamping room window!!

Sprinkles Of Life

Today's card comes from a blog called Stamp Doc.  You could easily change this up and put a birthday greeting on it for the perfect birthday card.

This is another one of the cards everyone got to make last week.

Every year when the new catalog is close to coming out I try to reorganize my stamp room somewhat.  This year's project was my Washi Tape.

I could never find the one I was looking for in these glass containers.

I found a perfect solution at target in the storage area.  This is actually a wooden silverware tray, but it fits the washi tape absolutely perfectly.  I wonder what else I can find to rearrange???

I tried out my new shoes and Fitbit this morning by getting up and walking bright and early . . . well it was early, but not so bright as the sun was just coming up.  I really do feel better and have more energy than I have had in a while so hopefully I can make this into a new routine.  We will see if the weather cooperates with me!!

I am planning on running some errands this morning but then spend the afternoon working in my stamp room on some graduation cards for upcoming events.  Hopefully it will go well!!

Garden In Bloom

I can't tell you how many flower sets I have had over the years, but it seems like when a new one comes out I just have to have it.  That was just the case with Garden In Bloom.

Every body stamping Monday night got to make this card.  I know I found this one on Pinterest but could never trace it back to the original poster.

Stamps: Garden In Bloom
Yardstick: Whisper White Thick, Sahara Sand,
Basic Black, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper:
Ink: Archival Basic Black, Sahara Sand
Accessories: Basic Pearl Jewels, Stampin' Dimensionals

I had a great day yesterday shopping in Des Moines with Hanna.  My computer seems to know when I am making the trip because it always acts up right before I leave.  Yesterday was no exception.  As I was finishing my blog post yesterday it started doing a weird pixelating thing, so I decided to take it along and have the folks at the Apple Store take a look at it.  I love the people that work there.  Whenever either Hanna or I have had a problem they are always super helpful and nice.  Luckily it was a quick fix yesterday of a software upgrade and it did not cost me a thing!  Left a lot more money for shopping!!  So Hanna and I both got a new Fitbit and walking or running shoes. I will leave you to decide who got which shoes.  Hopefully tomorrow I will start walking early in the mornings.

Going Global

One of the things I love about stamping is the fact that you can customize and personalize your cards.  I know I certainly would have used a graduation card like this for Hanna and a couple of her friends when they graduated if it had been around then.

This is one of the cards everyone got to make last Monday night at Make-It-Monday.  This one is pretty generic but could be even more personal if made in school colors!!

Stamps: Going Global, Something To Say, Bravo
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Basic Black, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper:
Ink: Archival Basic Black, Lost Lagoon
Accessories: World Traveler Embossing Folder, Big Shot,
Banner Triple Punch, 2" Circle Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

I was able to spend a little time in my stamp room yesterday, but also spent a fair amount of time icing my neck and just resting.  I think today may be a repeat of yesterday.  It is so much better and without the headache, but I don't want to go backwards so think it will be another resting day today!!

Here is the last card from the Sale-a-Bration Celebration Stamp Night.

So, when I went to the doctor yesterday, she gave me some muscle relaxers for my neck.  I now know that they really work!!  I took one last night about 8:00 PM and went right to sleep.  I awoke up this morning at the usual time, but just could not keep my eyes open, so went back to sleep.  I didn't wake up again until 11:00 AM!!  I guess they really do work.  I think I will cut it in half for tonight!!  Hopefully I can keep my eyes open long enough to get some stamping in this afternoon!!

Today brings another doctor's appointment . . . this time for me.  My neck has been bothering me for about three or four weeks so I decided on the way home from John's appointment that it was time to see what is going on. Hopefully I will have some time for stamping both before and after my appointment this afternoon.

Birthday Blooms

Today's card comes again from the blog of Stamper Camper.

It is also one that we made at the Sale-a-Bration Celebration Stamp Night.  I did change it up a bit when I made up the extras from that Stamp Night and used a Mother's Day Greeting.  They were quite popular at the craft show this weekend.

Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Lost lagoon, Hello Honey
Designer Series Paper: Going Places Stack
Ink: Sahara sand
Accessories: Botanical Builder Framelits Dies, Big Shot,

Today is going to be a rather lazy day . . . other than going to a doctor's appointment with John later this morning.  I thinks when we get home I may spend the rest of the day relaxing and reading.  I should be stamping and maybe that will happen . . . we shall wait and see!!

Birthday Blooms

Here is the second card we made at Technique/Stamp Club last night . . . the pleated skirt fold.  I found this card and fold on a blog I look at . . . Inking Idaho.

I think this is one of my favorite sets in the Occasions catalog . . . I know, I know . . . I probably say that about a lot of the sets.  I do know that I have used more Soft Subtles card stock this spring than I have probably used in all of my stamping days because of the Designer Series Paper offerings in this catalog.

Stamps: Birthday Blooms
Cardstock:  Pool Party, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Birthday Bouquet
Ink: Soft Suede, Blushing Bride and Mossy Meadow Markers
Accessories: 1 3/4" Circle Punch, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch,
Pool Party 3/8" Glitter Ribbon, Stampin Dimensionals

Today is going to be another day devoted solely to my craft room to get things ready for Sunday.  I also need to start to plan Monday Night's Make-It-Monday. I will just look at the bright sunshine out of my window because it certainly isn't very warm out there today!!

Apple of My Eye

Among the first stamp sets I ever bought from Stampin' Up! was a set that had several different fruit stamps in it.  For some reason, this stamp set reminds me a lot of it.

This is another one of the cards, the ladies made Monday night.

Stamps: Apple of My Eye, Sunburst Sayings
Cardstock: Whisper White Thick, Crushed Curry, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack
Ink: Archival Black, Crushed Curry, Cucumber Crush
Accessories: Tea Lace Paper Doilies, 1 3/4" Circle Punch,
Banner Triple Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

I am back at it in my stamping room this morning.  Wedding cards have been on my list of things to make for the craft show this Sunday.  This afternoon, I am delivering racks of cards to a store in Washington, before I head to Iowa City to take a friend to an appointment.  It is nice to look out and see the sunshine.  I just got a call from the gentleman that did our yard work last year, wondering if we wanted him to do it again this year, so that gives me hope that warmer weather and spring are just around the corner.
