Fresh Fruit

This will be the last Fresh Fruit card for a while I promise!!  This is one of the make and takes from last weekend as well.

This card is a little different in that the front of the card is not as long as a regular card.  It only goes to the Watermelon Wonder stripe and then the Designer Series Paper is on the inside of the card.

Stamps: Fresh Fruit
Cardstock: Whisper White, Watermelon Wonder
Designer Series Paper: Fruit Stand
Ink: Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: Sponge Dauber (for sponging a little ink on around the outside of the peach)

Yesterday ended up being a dud of a day . . . good thing I didn't have anything planned.  I ended up not feeling well at all and slept most of the day.  Today has to be better!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Fresh Fruit

Here is yet another of the make and takes we did last weekend. I actually think of all the stamps in this set that the strawberry is my least favorite.

But I really like the way this card and gift bag turned out.  A lot of the embellishment was supposed to go on the bag but we changed it up to put it on the card.

Stamps: Fresh Fruit
Cardstock: real Red, Whisper White, Red Glimmer Paper
Designer Series Paper: Fruit Stand
Ink: real red, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Glassine Gift Bags, Whisper White Mini Pom Pom Trim,
Triple Banner Punch, Delicate White Doilies,
Gold Binder Clips, Stampin' Dimensionals

What to do, what to do, what to do . . . it is hard to believe but there is absolutely nothing on my schedule or agenda for the next two days.  That does not happen very often.   Stamping, shopping, book, naps . . . maybe I will roll a dice and see which one to do!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Fresh Fruit

This is another one of the cards we made this weekend.  Not only are there fruit stamps in the set, but flowers as well!!

I am definitely going to have to order the think baker's twine in all of the colors we offer as I really like the look of it after using it on these cards.

Stamps: Fresh Fruit
Cardstock: Cucumber Crush, Whisper White, Basic Black
Designer Series Paper: Fruit Stand
Ink: Watermelon Wonder, Daffodil Delight, Cucumber Crush
Accessories:  Banner Triple Punch, Cucumber Crush Thick Baker's Twine, Glue Dots

I actually spent most of the afternoon in my stamp room yesterday and am planning on doing the same thing today after a quick trip to the outlet mall to get a couple of things.  A rainy day is a great day to spend indoors doing something you love.!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Fresh Fruit

Here is another one of at the cards we made as a make and take at the event I attended last weekend.

It is a gate fold card and opens from both the top and the bottom.

I love the way they had us use left over strips of the Designer Series Paper at the top and bottom of the card insert to look like washi tape.  What a great use of all those extra strips of designer paper we all have laying around!!

Stamps: Fresh Fruit
Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Peekaboo Peach, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Fruit Stand
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Peekaboo Peach
Accessories: Stampin' Spritzer, Linen Thread, Basic Rhinestone Jewels

Today is another day with absolutely nothing on my schedule.  I have a feeling there are going to be a lot of those days coming up.  I may try and get all of the extra card kits from this weeks stamp nights stamped up and assembled.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Fresh Fruit

Fresh Fruit was one of those stamp sets that I looked at in the catalog and decided I did not need. That soon changed after this weekend's stamping event in Illinois.  It is on its way to me as we speak.

This was one of the cards we made during the make and take portion of the event.  The most surprising thing is that I actually finished my make and takes this time.

Stamps: Fresh Fruit
Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Fruit Stand
Ink: Pear Pizzaz, Basic Black
Accessories: Lots of Labels Framelits, Big Shot,
Daffodil Delight Reinker, Clear Wink of Stella, Linen Thread,
5/8" Burlap Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday was a very lazy day. I think the weekend caught up with me.  When I got home from volunteering at Hospice I took it easy, napping and reading the rest of the day.  Today I am meeting some friends for lunch and then getting ready for stamp night here at the house.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Baby Bear

I absolutely can't believe how easy this baby bear is to stamp.  Stampin' Up! has done a great job of making this simple to line up.

This is the last of the cards everyone got to make last night.  They could choose between a blue and a pink baby bear.

Stamps: Baby Bear
Cardstock:  Crumb Cake, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper:
Ink: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Early Espresso
Accessories: Sparkle Embossing, Folder, Big Shot, Banner Triple Punch, 1/8" Bermuda Bay Stitched Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

As soon as I am done posting this I am off to volunteer early at Hospice this morning and then will be coming home to spend the rest of the day in my stamp room.  I am trying to finish up all of the leftover cards from classes and swaps so that I can clear my table off for some other big project (whatever that might be).

One Wild Ride

If you know a guy that loves motorcycles then you will for sure want the stamp set . . . One Wild Ride.

This is one of the cards everyone will be making tonight.

Stamps: One Wild Ride
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Whisper White, Silver Foil
Designer Series Paper:
Ink: Basic Gray
Accessories: Sparkle Embossing Folder, Big Shot

We left Champaign early yesterday morning and got home mid afternoon.  I started cutting cardstock and gathering things for tonight and was done before supper.  I spent the rest of the evening relaxing in my recliner and dozing.  Today I have been putting stamping supplies away from the weekend and double checking my tubs to make sure I have everything.

I think I will go to Iowa City a little early and get my errands run before stamp night rather than waiting till after.  I don't know about you but I am ready for some cooler temperatures.  This heat just drains your energy!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Badges and Banners

Here is one of the cards everyone stamping this week will be making.  When the new In Colors were first introduced, Sweet Sugarplum was my least favorite, but it has fast become my go to color lately.  Several of the cards we will be making this week use Sweet Sugarplum.

The Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack has some really cute papers in it as well.

Stamps: Badges and Banners
Cardstock: Basic Black, Sweet Sugarplum, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper: Playful Palette
Ink: Sweet Sugarplum
Accessories: Elegant Dots Embossing Folder, Big Shot,
Best Badge Punch, Duet Banner Punch,
Stampin' Dimensionals

We are headed home this morning.  It is a five hour drive straight through so it will be late afternoon before I get home.  I will need to get busy and get cardstock cut for tomorrow's Make-It-Monday so I can spend tomorrow gathering everything else up and hopefully not forget anything!!

Touches of Texture

We had a great time at our shoebox swap last night.  Tonight after a day of stamping presentations, the six of us that came together are going to have some shoebox swaps in our hotel room.  This is one of my swaps.

I know this stamp set will work with other color schemes but I seem to be stuck on using it with fall colors.  When starting this card I was heading in a totally different direction and all of a sudden this card seemed to come together.  It even got the seal of approval from my husband so it must be okay.

Stamps: Touches of Texture, Watercolor Wishes
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper:
Ink: Early Espresso, Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry
Accessories: Softly Falling Embossing Folder, Big Shot,
Linen Thread Basic Pearl Jewels,
Stampin' Dimensionals

I got so many good ideas last night that I can't wait to share, hopefully at the second stamp night in August!!

 Grateful Bunch

My swaps are done, my bags are packed and sitting by the back door, and I am ready for the weekend.  I am definitely looking forward to getting away and spending my weekend stamping.  This is the general swap I made the other day and will be taking.

I absolutely love the Joseph's Coat technique and I think it works perfectly for these flowers in fall colors.

Tin Of Cards

While browsing a blog hop yesterday I saw this card on a demonstrator named Connie Babbert's blog.  I thought it was super cute.

It may be a contender for Monday night's birthday stamp night, depending on what else I come up with between now and then.

Stamps: Tin of Cards
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Cucumber Crush, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Pop Of Pink
Ink: basic Black
Accessories: Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Big Shot, Fine Tip Glue Pen

As soon as I am done posting this I am out the door for a hair appointment. Believe it or not I got absolutely everything packed and ready for this weekend yesterday.  I even had time and felt like doing an extra general swap!!  Not sure what is on the agenda today . . . maybe resting before the weekend!!

Blooms and Wishes

Today's card is super super simple.  A quick rip of some designer series paper and you have a very interesting second layer of a card.

Use any sentiment you want and you have a card for any occasion.

Stamps: Blooms and Wishes
Cardstock: Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry
Designer Series Paper: Blooms and Bliss
Accessories: Decorative Label Punch, Sponge Daubers,

Al of my stars aligned yesterday and I was actually able to get all of my swaps done for this weekend's trip.  Now to get laundry done and things packed and I am ready to go.

That means I can actually use today and tomorrow to get ready for Monday's stamp night.  Yippee!!!

Detailed Floral Thinlits

Believe it or not I am actually planning ahead to next Monday night already where we are focusing on birthday cards.  I saw a card on Pinterest that had this layout but with a different color scheme and sentiment.  I decided to try it out for Monday night and I think it is a keeper.

There are so many ways to use these thinlits and I know I have just explored a very few of them.

Stamps: Build a Birthday
Cardstock: Sweet Sugarplum, Mint Macaron, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Blooms and Bliss
Ink: Sweet Sugarplum
Accessories: Detailed Floral Thinlits, Big Shot, Triple Banner Punch,
Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

After spending most of the day at the doctor yesterday I promptly came home and took a nap so there was no stamping for me.  A soon as I am done posting this I am out the door to run a couple of errands and hopefully be back by late morning so that I can stamp the afternoon away.   We will see if it works today!!!

Penned and Painted

Once again one of the blogs I look at, Stamp With Amy, had this card posted.  I loved the soft watercolor look of it so had to try it out.

The Blooms and Wishes stamp set has some of the neatest sentiments and fonts.  This is one of them.

Stamps: Penned and Painted, Blooms and Wishes
Cardstock: Flirty Flamingo, Cucumber Crush, Watercolor Paper
Designer Series Paper:
Ink: Flirty Flamingo, Cucumber Crush, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso
Accessories: Versamark, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool,
AquaPainter, 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shapes, Stampin' Dimensionals

As soon as I am done posting this I am out the door for another doctor's appointment.  Hopefully when I get home I will feel like spending some time in my stamping room.  I cleaned and organized again yesterday instead of working on my swaps for this weekend so that still needs to be done!!!

Places You'll Go

I have always loved this story by Dr. Suess so when I saw this stamp set in the catalog I knew I had to have it!!  In fact I just bought an insulated mug/glass with this very saying on it.  My bags have been sitting idle since March and I am ready to travel somewhere!!

This is a super simple card that I whipped up in no time at all.  It would be great for a graduation card next spring done in school colors.

Stamps:  Places You'll Go
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Basic Black, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Blooms and Bliss
Ink: Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Cucumber Crush, Island Indigo, Pool Party
Accessories: Project Life Corner Punch

I spent some time yesterday figuring out what I want to do for swaps for the coming weekend.  My plan today is to get everything cut and make those that I need to make so that is off the to-do list for this week.  Since it looks like it may rain all day, my stamp room is a good place to be.

Bunch of Blossoms

Since this stamp set was still on my table I decided to make another card with it.  I had come across this one on a blog I follow, Stampercamper, and decided to try it out.

Just in case you haven't already noticed . . . I love this sentiment!  You will probably be seeing a lot of it in the future!!

After napping most of the afternoon yesterday, I am hoping to be able to spend some time in my stamp room today.  I have three shoe box swaps I need to get ready for and another general swap I would like to make for an event I am going to next weekend.  We shall see what the day brings!!

Bunches of Blossoms

One of the new stamp sets I bought for the sentiments really makes some pretty cool flowers.  Once again I thought they might be hard to line up but with the photopolymer they are really quite easy.

Now you might think that the pearls around the sentiment are in kind of an odd place, but after trying to stamp the greeting multiple times and always getting dots in it, I  just decided to cover them up with pearls.  Turns out I actually kind of like it!!

Stamps: Bunches of Blossoms
Cardstock: Tip Top Taupe, Peekaboo Peach, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper:
Ink: Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Tip Top Taupe
Accessories: Basic Pearl Jewels

Sorry for no post yesterday . . . there was just not enough time in the day or energy for stamping!!

Stamp Night Organization

No card idea today . . . just an organizational idea. After Monday night I decided that something needed to be done to make finding framelits easier. When out shopping with Luetta yesterday I bought a cheap (and by cheap I mean $0.88) cookie sheet and and covered it with magnetic sheets.

I then covered it with black cardstock and used a chalk marker to label it.

Hopefully this will cut down on the amount of time we spend looking for dies and framelits.  If everybody returns the dies and framelits to the cookie sheet they will be there when the next person needs them.

Sweet Cupcake

You may recognize elements of this card . . . I posted one similar to it here. There were parts that card I really liked but some parts just didn't work . . . like the greeting.

So I redid parts of it and this is one of the cards everybody will be making Monday night at Make-It-Monday.

Stamps: Sweet Cupcake
Cardstock: Flirty Flamingo, Basic Gray, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Nuetrals Stack
Ink:  Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo,
Sahara Sand, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray

I am still amazed at how easy it is to line these three part stamps up and get a perfect mage every time!!

Today I will be cutting cardstock and getting almost everything ready for tomorrow night.  The camping crew is cleaning everything up and leaving mid-morning so no campground in the future for me today!!

Baby Bear

I can't get over how easy Baby Bear is to use.  Here is a quick card I whipped up this morning for my nephew and his wife who had a baby in May.

The Irresistibly Floral Designer Series Paper is really cool.  I was struggling because I did not have any DSP that was in the subtle color family and then I remember this one . . . voila!!  You can have DSP in any color you want!!

Designer Series Paper:

Flourishing Phrases

One again the stamp bundle I ordered by mistake has come in very handy!!  I am thinking of making sets of these in the five In-Colors for my crafts shows!!

This was super simple to do and took me less than five minutes.  I am thinking that will be of the cards we make Monday night at the Cutting Edge Stamp Night.

Stamps: Flourishing Phrases
Cardstock: WhisperWhite Thick, Sweet Sugarplum, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper:
Ink: Sweet Sugarplum
Accessories: Flourish Thinlits, Precision Base Plate, Big Shot, Fine Tip Glue Pen

Boy did it heat up yesterday!!  I was amazed when I visited the campgrounds how much warmer it was than when I was there on Sunday.  And when the breeze stopped it got REALLY warm.

Today I am going to plan on spending it in my craft room getting things cleaned up from the last stamp night and planning out Monday's Cutting Edge Make-It-Monday.  With all of the news dies and framelits I have to choose from it should not be too difficult!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!
