So Very Much 

Wow!!!  It is hard to believe that Sale-a-Bration will be over tonight.  This is a card that everyone got to make several weeks ago at Make-It-Monday that my friend, Susie, provided at a shoebox swap back in January.  

There are two Sale-a-Bration products on this card . . . the stamp set and the Designer Series Paper.

Avant Garden

Back in October and November when I was struggling with my energy and being able to do what I wanted to do another demonstrator commented on one of my posts in a stamping group that I follow. She had and was going through her own struggle with cancer and treatments.  I started looking at her blog, not only for card inspiration but just life inspiration because of the way she was handling her illness and the uplifting way she had of sharing.  I still continue to follow her blog (Stampin' Georgia) and this is one of the cards she had on there a while back. 

It is super simple but with a quick change out of sentiment would be great for almost any occasion!!  It is also one everyone got to make on Monday night.

So Very Much


Check out this technique card that everyone got to make on Monday night.  I know everyone liked the technique because I could hear some of them talking about what other stamps they could use to achieve the same affect.

I am thinking this thank you stamp is one that I will be keeping after Sale-a-Bration is over because it makes such neat thank you cards, and everybody needs those!!!

Just the other day I told someone there was not much new around the Wilson household and I must have jinxed myself!!  John came in from his studio about 6:00 last night and said "now don't be alarmed . . . I'll just glue my hand back together after I wash it out" . . . . I went in and took a look at what he was doing and told him there would be no glueing . . . we were going to the ER  . . . the blood was spurting out of it like a fountain!!!  So off went the oven that had our casserole for supper baking in it and off we went.  We made it back home about 10:00 PM after 7 stitches and a very crowded ER. He did get lucky though . . . because at first they thought he might have cut through a tendon which would have involved a whole lot more than just stitches.  Never a dull moment around here it seems like.  I am going to be on a first name basis with the ER staff soon!!!

Hey Chick

Here is one of the cards I received for my birthday last month made with one of my favorite Sale-a-Bration sets.  Thanks Lorna for the great card!!!

I don't have the Hearth and Home Framelits and would not have thought to use them this way even if I did have them!!!

Make-It-Monday went very well last night.  It was so nice to drive home while it was still semi light outside.  I am loving the fact that it stays light linger. Now if the weather would just be a little warmer it would be awesome.

Avant Garden

Back again with Avant Garden, although this time with a different stamp from the set.  This is another of the stamp sets I will miss when Sale-a-Bration comes to a close on Friday.  This is one of the cards everyone will be making tonight at Make-It-Monday.

I love the look of stamping the actual clear blocks for a background effect. There are so many options no two cards will turn out the same.

Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Easter Bunny

Here is another card that we made Wednesday night at our shoebox swap that Crystal brought as well.  I would never have thought of using the Swirly Scribbles for bunny ears.

Playful Pals

Wednesday evening I got together with one of my monthly groups for our shoebox swap.  This was the card one of the gals brought.  With the great weather we are having today I thought it was totally appropriate.

Big on Birthdays

Today started very early as I had a 7:30 a.m. doctor appointment for my three month post chemo check-up.  My doctor was very pleased with the way everything is going and I am sprung for another three months before having to check back in!!!  The best news of the day was that he is changing me over to the pill form of my blood thinner medication, so I will no longer have to give myself a shot every morning!!!!  My stomach and legs thank him and maybe they won't look like they have been on the loosing end of a fist fight!!!

Hey Chick

I just love the crazy chicken from the Hey Chick stamp set!!!!  There is something about her that is so adorable!!!  Maybe it is the hair on her head!!! I can only hope mine will be like that again someday!!!  This is one of the cards everybody stamping with me tonight  will get to make

High Tide

High Tide is one of those stamp sets that is great for a variety of cards, especially guy cards!!

You might think that the lighthouse is hard to line up, but since it is photopolymer it is really very simple.

The cardstock is cut, the envelopes stuffed, and directions are run off.  All that remains to be done is gather the supplies and load the car.  That will probably be done tomorrow as I want to watch the NCAA basketball tournament games today.  Doesn't really make any difference who is playing, I just enjoy watching all of the games!!!

Moon Baby

I have jumped right back into stamping after our vacation.  This is one of the cards everyone will be making on Monday night at Make-It-Monday!!

Hanna and I had a great time on our trip. After a rocky start with the weather on the Saturday we left, the rest of the trip went off without a hitch.  Hanna's hashtag for this vacation was #disneydoesitbest.  I will say they think of everything.  We saw three broadway type musicals, had marvelous food, met many Disney characters, and enjoyed many movies sitting by the pool in the sun.  We got back to Des Moines late Thursday night and I came on home late Friday morning after meeting my sister-in-law for coffee.  I spent the rest of the day and this morning resting and am now ready to get back to my regular activities and schedule.

I am leaving this morning to go to Des Moines to meet Hanna and then our flight leaves at 5:45 in the morning for Orlando.  We will spend the night in Cocoa Beach before boarding our ship on Sunday.  We are planning on a relaxing and fun few days with absolutely nothing on our agenda!  We will just do whatever the mood strikes us.  I will not have Internet access until I get home next Friday evening so I will not be posting until Saturday morning the 18th.  If you have a spring break coming up . . . enjoy!!  If not, have a great week!!

Suite Sentiments 

The last card everyone got to make last Monday is one that could work for any occasion with a quick change out of the sentiment!

Today started out early with an eye appointment.  I was a little concerned because my eyes had given me such fits during chemo, but believe it or not, they are actually better now than they were this time a year ago.  The eye doctor said they weathered the chemo and all of the prednisone better than he thought they might!!  So yes . . . I need new glasses . . . but actually because my eyes are better.  I came home and have been sleeping ever since because the dilation of my eyes always takes me a long time to recover from and feel like I can see to do anything.  Hopefully I can stamp a little this evening!!!

Big On Birthdays

Last night was Technique/Stamp club.  I was certainly glad to get back to this club because I love sharing new techniques!  One of the techniques we worked on was Tarnished Foil.

I saw this card while I was searching for examples using this technique  and thought it would make a great guy card.  Everybody loved this look and we are eager to try it with other embossing folders.

Make a Medallion

Make a Medallion is one of the three new Sale-a-Bration products that is now being offered.  It might look like it is hard to line up but since it is photopolymer, it is easy peasy!!!

This thank you card is one that everyone got to make last Monday night.  The one thing I wish I had done before making this card is to re-ink my Rich Razzleberry ink pad so that there was more striking difference in the two colors on the medallion.

Avant Garden

I think I might have said it before, but I will say it again . . . I think Avant Garden is my favorite Sale-a-Bration set this year.  Maybe it is the weather we have been having or something but it really makes me think of soft subtle colors and spring!!
