Watercolor Christmas

Everybody stamping this Saturday will be making several of this card.  It takes a ton of supplies, but I think it is so cute.  I found it on-line when I was trying to find ideas, but do not remember where I saw it!!

It took a while to get everything cut and die cut for this card, but it is ready to go.  I hope everyone else likes it as much as I do!!

Today is going to be another busy day.  As soon as I am done posting this I am off to a hair appointment, then to Iowa City to run a couple of errands.  I am then meeting some friends in Washington for our usual lunch and hope to be home by suppertime.  I will probably be cutting cardstock all evening, in hopes of getting everything ready!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Star of Night

When this stamp set came out last year I immediately knew I would use it a lot.  This is the set and color combination I used for our family Christmas card last year.

I knew I wanted to use it for my big Christmas stamp a stack this year, so this is one of the cards everybody will be making this coming Saturday.

Stamps: Star of Night
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, Whisper White
Ink: Night of Navy
Accessories: Starlight Thinlits, Big Shot,
Basic Pearls, Tear and Tape, Stampin' Dimensionals

This is going to be a crazy busy week, what with getting ready for Saturday, and then doing a craft show on Sunday.  Sometime I need to figure out my swap to take to Utah next week.  My goal is to get it all designed, cut, and stamped, and then I can put it together at the craft show Sunday if I am not busy, or at doctor's appointments next week!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Touches of Texture

This is a card that I made a while back at a demonstrator get together that was provided by my demonstrator friend, Janeen.

I have been meaning to share it for a while and have just not gotten around to it!!

Yesterday was a long cold day.  Not the most profitable craft show I have ever done, but it was that way for everyone around me.  I had wonderful neighbors and got a good book finished in my downtime.  I ended the day with a Halloween party at Julie and Jason's house.    I was asleep the minute my head hit the pillow last night.  Today I am off to stamp the day away with some friends!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Merry Patterns

Christmas will be here before we know it so I guess I had better get in gear and get some Christmas cards made.  I love this Merry Patterns stamp set!!

I know these are not the traditional Christmas colors but I do love the color combination.  This is a card I found on a blog I follow . . . Stamp With Amy.

I am leaving tomorrow morning before dawn so will probably not post anything tomorrow!!

Merry Little Labels

The season of colds and flu are soon going to be upon us so what better to hold that off than a special gift from Santa straight from the North Pole???

Who wouldn't want to use hand sanitizer when it is so cutely wrapped . . . and it becomes Santa-tizer!!

I did use a couple of retired products on this craft show item . . . the embossing folder for the fur and the framelit to cut out his belt.  I didn't make very many of these for this first craft show.  After I see how it goes and people's reactions it would not take very long to whip a few more up!!  Coffee I can always use extras of but that would be a lot of sanitizer if these don't sell!!!

Stamps: Merry Little Labels
Cardstock: Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White, Silver or Gold Foil
Ink: Real Red, Computer generated labels for Santi-tizer
Accessories: Layering Ovals, Big Shot, Tear and Tape

I have not been doing a whole lot other than resting and reading and a little crafting.  I know that once Saturday hits I will be running non-stop until after I get back from convention in the middle of November so I am storing up my energy!!  LOL

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Smitten

Warm and cozy mittens might have felt good yesterday morning and this morning.  I am not ready for snow but I think I saw that nasty word in a forecast for this weekend!!

This card is very similar to a card we made a couple of weeks ago at Make-It-Monday, but I thought it was so cute that we had to make another one!!

Stamps: Smitten
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: Many Mittens Framelits Dies,
Winter Wonder Textured Embossing Folder, Big Shot,
Whisper White Baker's Twine, Glue Dots

Today has started out early again today as we are having our pre-winter furnace check bright and early this morning.  I really don't want to have to turn the furnace on but I think those days are coming.  As I stayed up late and read last night, I think I will probably be taking a nap as soon as he leaves!!

Big on Birthdays

Everybody needs birthday cards and gender neutral ones are not always that easy to come up with.  When I saw this one while browsing the Internet I knew it would be a good one for a Make-It-Monday night.

I love the Color Theory Designer Series Paper because it does a lot of the work for you!!!

Stamps: Big on Birthdays
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Early Espresso
Designer Series Paper: Color Theory
Ink: Early Espresso
Accessories: Whisper White 3/8" Classic Weave Ribbon,
Stampin' Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Today has been quite the day.  I had an early morning appointment in Iowa City for labs at my normal doctor's office.  I thought I left in plenty of time to get there, but there were some things I didn't factor in . . . traffic, absentmindedness and driving past the turn to the office, and then finding the office had moved and I did not know where it had moved to!!  Needless to say I was about 20 minutes late  . . . good thing it was just labs cause they are easy to work in!!  I then stopped at Walmart to get a prescription and a couple of other things we needed, only to get home and realize I forgot the one thing I REALLY DID need!!  So off to Washington I go to get that and some other stuff John thought we needed.  I arrive home and it is now about 1:00.  I decide I am going to sit down and rest for a bit when the phone rings and it is the office calling wanting to know if I had remembered that I had an appointment for my shoulder at 1:00.  No . . .  I didn't remember and I have no time in the next three weeks to reschedule it!!  What a start to the day!! Hopefully things will improve this afternoon as I try and get some orders filled of things people have sent emails about!!!  I guess maybe I really do need to start writing stuff down!!

Gourd Goodness

While browsing the internet looking for card ideas for Monday night I came across this one and was really taken by it!!  What a perfect fall thank you card.  It would also make a lovely masculine birthday card or even a sympathy card.

I love the masking that is going one with the Burlap background stamp.  A really cool way to use it, I think!!

Stamps: Gourd Goodness, One Big Meaning, Burlap
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very vanilla
Ink: Early Espresso

Everything is cut and ready to go for tonight.  I just need to finish gathering a few supplies together and load the car and I will be ready.  I think I am going to take it easy for the rest of the day after the whirlwind of a weekend!!

Count My Blessings

After a big day yesterday I am getting a slow start this morning!!  This is one of the cards I am thinking about having everybody make tomorrow night at Make-It-Monday.

I really like the way it turned out, even if it is a LOT of Big Shot die cutting!!

Stamps: Count My Blessings
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper: Painted Autumn
Ink: Early Espresso
Accessories: Quilt Builder Framelit Dies,
Quilt Top Embossing Folder, Big Shot

Yesterday was a great day . . . although it was very long.  We went antiquing in Marion, ate lunch in Stone City, and then made our way to the Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa.

We ended the day with some more antiquing and a stop at Half Price Books in Marion.  After supper at Iowa River Power we made our way for home.  It was not long after that and I was out.  Besides being full of food, both John and I were tuckered out from the day.  Hanna left bright and early this morning to make it back home so that she could go wedding dress shopping with her best friend that is getting married next summer.  Oh to be young again and have all that energy!!

Painted Harvest

I just cannot get enough of this Painted Harvest set.  I love love love it!!! It doesn't really make any difference what color combination you use . . . they are all beautiful!!

This is another one of the cards that everyone will be making on Monday night.

Stamps: painted Harvest
Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla
Ink: Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Garden Green, Early Espresso

We are out the door as soon as I am done posting this.  We are meeting up with Julie and Jason, and then meeting Jake, Hanna's boyfriend, in Iowa City for a day of togetherness.  I am not sure what we will be doing, but I do know that we will be ending the day with supper at Iowa River Power Company.  But . . . any day spent with family is an awesome day!!

Hug in a Mug

I decided that since Monday night is another Make-It-Monday I really should get in gear and decide what I want to make that night.  This is one of the stamp sets that I recently bought for craft show items so decided to make a card with it.

This is another one of the cards that comes from the website I belong to for demonstrators and I decided it would be perfect for a stamp night.

Stamps: Hug in a Mug
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Real Red, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Painted Autumn
Ink: Real Red, Early Espresso
Accessories: 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 1/2" Circle Punch,
Pretty Label Punch, Jute Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals

Hopefully I can get all of the rest of the cards figured out for Monday night by late afternoon.  Julie is picking me up and we are going shopping tonight at a big sale she wants to go to, and then when I get home Hanna will be here. This is the big birthday/anniversary celebratory weekend.  Hanna's boyfriend is driving over for the day tomorrow and all six of us will be spending the day antiquing, shopping, and eating!!

Hot Hands

I saw some of these babies on a stamping craft show sight I belong to and knew I needed to make some for upcoming shows!!

Super simple to make, and finally some masculine items.  Everything else I have is definitely geared toward women.  I chose to make three different patterns.

I hope other people like them as much as I do!!

This one uses a retired stamp set called Wonderland but it is perfect for these!!  I finally found a use for those antlers.

I think the snowflake one is my favorite.

And inside I have stapled one of the Hot Hands hand warmers.  My husband says these really don't work, but I think they do!!

Stamps: Carols of Christmas, Hug in a Mug,
Merry Patterns, Wonderland (retired)
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Always Artichoke, Dapper Denim,
Very Vanilla, Whisper White
Ink: Dapper Denim, Always Artichoke,
Early Espresso
Accessories: Layering Ovals Framelits,
Softly Falling Embossing Folder,
Woodland Embossing Folder, Big Shot,
1 3/8" Circle Punch, Foil Snowflakes

I have been on the go from the time I got up this morning until just now when I sat down to post this!!  I had several errands to run in Iowa City and a couple of appointments, so my day has been full.  I hope I can stay awake to watch the Cubs tonight.  At least they play a little bit earlier this evening!!

Hug in a Mug

I know I said I was not going to make any other craft show items but I can't seem to help myself.  I keep seeing all of these cute things and I think I could make that!!

That was exactly the case with these hot chocolate holders. I think turned out pretty cute!!

I only made 12 of them for my first show to see how they sell.  They are quick and easy to make if I need to restock!!

Stamps: Hug In A Mug
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Early Espresso, Real Red, Smoky Slate
Accessories: Wood Crate Framelit Dies, Big Shot, Treat Tubes,

Today looks to be a repeat of yesterday . . . I will work in my stamping room until the baseball games come on and then will work in the living room watching them.  I only hope the outcome is different tonight!!

Color Me Happy

Don't recognize this stamp set??  That is because it is a new one being released by Stampin' Up! on November 1st along with the new Stampin' Blend pens.

Stampin’ Up! is releasing a new line of alcohol-based markers!! I’m so super excited, so I pre-purchased ALL of them. hahaha! I couldn’t resist.  I’ve had them for a while  and LOVE them! I still need some practice, though.    These markers come in 12 Stampin' Up! colors, with two shades of each color.  There is also a bronze and ivory colored marker.

Stamps: Color Me Happy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Old Olive, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Merry Little Moments
Ink: Memento Black
Accessories: Flourish Thinlits, Big Shot, Banner Triple Punch,
Stampin' Blends, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

I have been on the road the last three days, so there have been no blog posts. Julie and I had a great time shopping on Saturday and Sunday I went to Des Moines on a search for some stamping supplies for craft show projects. Yesterday I ran some errands in Iowa City and rested the rest of the day after my travels from the weekend.  I am hoping to spend the day in my craft room today!!

Coffee Cafe

I had a chance yesterday to make some more craft show items.  I found these coffee scented candles, so decided to get on the coffee candle bandwagon and make some candle gift card holders for upcoming shows.

I really think these turned out cute.  I was going to make all generic ones and then decided I should make some Christmas ones as well.

They do open up to hold a gift card, but you would not have to use that feature.  They look pretty cute just as they are and they smell delicious.

Stamps: Coffee Cafe, Hang Your Stocking
Cardstock: Real Red, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake,
Whisper White, Vellum
Designer Series Paper: Coffee Break,
Christmas Around the World
Ink: Real Red, Garden Green,
Old Olive, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Coffee Cups Framelits Dies,
Big Shot, Classic Label Punch,
Glue Dots

Today I am spending the day shopping with Julie in Cedar Rapids.  We were going to go to a flea market, but with the weather forecast we decided we would rather be warm and dry.  I am not sure that we are really shopping for anything in particular, but I am sure we will have a good time.

Painted Harvest

I surely do hope they carry this stamp set over to a new catalog, because I absolutely love it!!!  It fits in with all of the fall colors, but I am sure if you used spring colors it would fit in with those as well!!

This is the last of the cards everyone madden Monday night. I think everybody that was there agreed that this is an awesome stamp set!!

Stamps: Painted Harvest
Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso, Whisper White
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Layered Leaves Embossing Folder, Big Shot,

Man, oh man!!  Was that a ballgame last night or what!!!  I still cannot believe the Cubs hung on to win that game!!!  Can't wait till Saturday night as they continue their quest to return to the World Series!!!

Beautiful Bouquet

Still on the path of friendship cards, today's card is another one that any friend would love to receive. I know I am guilty of not sending enough cards to the people I have in my life that help me navigate life's twists and turns.

I am pretty confident that this card comes from my on-line group just like the last two days.  I do know that it is one everybody made Monday night.

Stamps: Beautiful Bouquet, Daisy Delight
Cardstock: Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Delightful Daisy
Ink: Old Olive, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Layering Squares Framelits,
Stitched Shapes Framelits, Big Shot,
Whisper White Baker's Twine, Glue Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

I spent the majority of the day in my stamping room yesterday finishing up card packets from Monday night.  I did not get them all quite done before the Cubs came on yesterday afternoon so I will be finishing that up today.  I have another craft show project I want to start working on, so hopefully that will happen as well today.  I know I have until this evening to stamp since it is a night game today.

So Many Shells

Have you ever had that friend that you think . . . what would I ever do with_____?  Well now you can make the perfect card to send to them.

This is another one of the cards everyone made on Monday night and another one of them I got from the on line group that I belong to with ideas for class cards.  I absolutely love this color combination!!!

Stamps: So Many Shells
Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Sahara Sand, Whisper White
Ink: Calypso Coral, Powder Pink, Sahara Sand
Accessories: Aquapainter, 5/8" Burlap Ribbon,
Wink of Stella, Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday was definitely a day of rest.  With the weather being so rainy and dreary, I put on a pot of soup in the crock pot and pretty much stayed huddled under my blanket for the whole day.  Even the Cubs got rained out!! Today I hope to get to my stamp room and get the remainder of the card packets from Monday night stamped up and assembled.

Colorful Seasons

I belong to a couple of online groups that give ideas for demonstrators to use when planning classes.  This is one of the cards that I picked to use at Make-It-Monday.  I am not sure who the original poster of this card is to give them credit.

I do know that it was a favorite last night.  People really seemed to like the simplicity of it!!

Stamps: Colorful Seasons
Cardstock: Very Vanilla Thick, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede
Ink: Crushed Curry, Soft Suede
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Seasonal Layers Thinlits,
Big Shot, Linen Thread, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday was a busy day of volunteering and stamping.  I was beat when I got home last night, so today is a day of rest.  Since it is rainy and gloomy, a good book, a blanket, and a hot cup of tea sound like a wonderful idea!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Daisy Delight

This birthday card, on a blog I follow called Stamping with Amy, caught my eye right away.  Even though it uses four different stamp sets, I love the combination . . . both of stamps and colors.

This is another one of the cards we will be making tonight at Make-It-Monday.

Stamps: Daisy Delight, Painted Harvest,
Birthday Delivery, Timeless Texture
Cardstock: Very Vanilla Thick, Very Vanilla
Ink: Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede
Accessories: 1/2" Circle Punch, Leaf Punch, Daisy Punch,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday morning I got everything all cut and ready to stuff into envelopes while I was watching the baseball playoff games in the afternoon.  I also did all of the Big Shot work in front of the TV.

Today I am going to Iowa City late morning to volunteer at Hospice in the afternoon before stamp night tonight.  I think tomorrow may be a low key day with nothing to do!!

Smitten

How many of you are always loosing one mitten??  Well believe it or not when I was making this card I knew I had cut out two mittens, but could not find the embossed one to save my soul!!!  I finally found it on the bottom of the stamp case . . . static cling had it stuck tight!!

This is a super simple Christmas card that everyone will be making Monday night at Make-it-Monday.

Stamps: Smitten
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: Many Mittens Framelits,
Cable Knit Embossing Folder,
Big Shot, Silver Mini Sequin Trim,

Yesterday was a perfect day . . . family, good food, football, and baseball!! The only two things that could have made it better were no rain and a Cubs win!!

Today I need to get in gear and get everything ready for tomorrow nights stamp night.  I have some stuff done but there is a lot more that need to get done today!!
