Happiest of Birthdays

This is a card many in my family can relate to!!   I'm notoriously late sending out birthday cards.  It is nice to know that there is a sentiment just for that!!!

This is one of the designs that is in the latest round of Cards in the Mail.  It would work with any coordinating colors of designer series papers. Perfect for using up those scraps we all have lying around!!

Stamps: Happiest of Birthdays
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper:  Gilded Autumn
Ink: Early Espresso
Accessories:  Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Triple Banner Punch,

Celebrate Sunflowers

Whitewashing with Craft White Ink and then watercoloring with ink refills is a technique that I had not done for quite a while.  A friend and I experimented with it the other day when she came over to stamp.  I was pretty pleased with the way the card turned out!!

I had used the sunflower dies quite a bit as well as the sentiments in the stamp set but I had never used many of the stamps.  I think the small sunflower worked perfectly for this technique.

Stamps: Celebrate Sunflowers, Lots To celebrate
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla (Inside)
Ink: Early Espresso
Accessories: Versamark, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool,
Bumblebee, Garden Green, and early Espresso Ink Refills, Waterpainters,
Label Me Fancy Punch, Linen Thread, Elegant Faceted Gems,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday Luetta and I worked hard with only a short lunch break to get the designer series paper samplers done for the 2020-2022 catalog.  We still have the ones to make for 2020 August-June Mini Catalog.  That will happen in good time.  My goal is to have them done by the time I start in-person classes again on the 14th.

Today I am going to finish cutting cardstock for the Love of Leaves class and also start to think about tomorrow's Cards in the Mail packet.  Hopefully the Cubs will be on TV, but if not I have enjoyed listening to them on the radio.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Celebrate Sunflowers

The stained glass technique is another one of my favorite techniques.  It takes the right kind of stamp to be able to do it, but the Celebrate Sunflowers works perfectly.

By coloring on the back side of an embossed piece of Vellum cardstock the resulting image resembles a stained glass window.

Stamps: Celebrate Sunflowers, Lots to celebrate
Cardstock: Whisper White Thick, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Flowers For Every Season
Ink: Misty Mhtoonlig
Accessories:  Sunflower Dies, Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder,
Versamark, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool,
Triple Banner Punch, Label Me Fancy Punch,
Linen Thread, 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

As soon as I am done posting this I am going to get things ready to make some Designer Series Paper samplers.  Luetta is coming over and we are going to sit outside and make and assemble them.  Now that I am thinking about starting with face to face classes again I need to get some of these things done that I have been putting off for a while.  It will be a beautiful day to sit outside.

Love of Leaves

Once again Pinterest was my best friend.  It had a load of ideas for this particular stamp bundle.  This layout was so easy and would work great in just about any fall color!!

With a change out of sentiment it would also work for just about any occasion . . . birthday, thank you, thinking of you, or any time you just want to let someone know you thought of them.

Stamps:  Love of Leaves
Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Regals In Color
Accessories: Stitched Leaves Dies, Stitched Rectangle Dies,
VersaMark, White Embossing Folder, Heat Tool,
Basket Weave and Metallic Ribbon Combo, Basic Rhinestone Jewels,

Yesterday was a great day.  I stamped in the morning, met some friends for lunch, and then comes the best part.  I found a place that is going to be perfect for Face to Face Stamp Classes.  I am excited to get back to this . . . with precautions in place of course!!  My goal is to start them back up on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of every month!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Love of Leaves

Another day . . . another card in out Love of Leaves Product Bundle Class. This is the only card in the bundle where I used the actual leaf stamps.  After stamping and die cutting I embossed the stitching into the leaves with yet other dies that are in the die set.  I think it turned out way cool!!

This is another one of the cards that I found in my Internet surfing. Sometimes it seems like I spend more time doing that than actual stamping, but I am sure that isn't true.

Stamps:  Love of Leaves
Cardstock: Mint Macaron, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper: Gilded Autumn
Ink: Crushed Curry, Mint Macaron, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Accessories:  Stitched Leaves Dies,
Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack, Triple Banner Punch,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Almost done . . . I stamped away most of the day yesterday and almost finished my order of cards.  That is on the agenda today as well as meeting some friends for lunch.  Since it is going to be hot again today, it is a perfect way to spend the day.  No baseball tonight as it is an off day for the Cubs . . . but I might just watch some other team and get my sports fix while I can . . . just in case!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Love of Leaves

Today's card comes to you from a site I follow CreativeLee Yours.  She had a variety of cards made with this layout and different colors of the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper.  The more I worked with this set, the gladder I was that I had purchased it.

It is another one of the cards that you will receive in the Love of Leaves Product Based Class packet.

Stamps: Love of Leavse

Stamping is the only thing on the agenda for today.  I am bound and determined that I am going to get my big order of cards done today so that I can deliver them tomorrow morning.  Since it is going to be so hot outside today, staying in and stamping should be no problem!!

Stamp With Bonnie is one of the sites I look at suite regularly.  She had this card posted a couple of days ago and I knew it would be perfect as a  Love of Leaves Product Based Class card.

This particular bundle is not one I gave much thought to and did not even have until a friend said she thought it was such an awesome bundle.  I then gave it a second look and boy am I glad I did.  It makes awesome fall cards.

Love of Leaves

Fall and fall colors are one of my favorite times of the year.  I have two daughters that absolutely love fall and the month of October particularly. They were in the back of my mind when I was making cards for this week's product based class.

My friend, Susie, had posted a sketch challenge and this is the card I came up with for that.

Stamps: Love of Leaves
Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Copper Foil
Designer Series Paper: Gilded Autumn
Ink: Early Espresso
Accessories:  Stitched Leaves Dies, Tasteful Labels Dies, Greenery Embossing Folder, 3/8" Embroidred Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Today is going to be a stamping day as I have a friend coming to stamp and work on some technique classes that she missed.  We are both retired now . . . me for a long time . . . her  newly retired so we have no time constraints.  Hope fully I will have some new cards to share with you in the coming days.

Comfort & Hope

One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is the opportunity to earn free stamp sets.  This was one of the stamps sets I received by completing a challenge.  When I received it I thought . . . I will never use this . . . because it really didn't speak to me.  Boy was I wrong!!

I did cut this stamp apart . . . yes you heard me right . . . I cut the stamp! You can see the card I made after I cut the stamp apart here.  Then when I wanted the words in a straight line again they are super simple to line up on your acrylic block.

Stamps: Comfort & Hope
Cardstock: Gray Granite, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper:  In Good Taste
Ink: Gray Granite, Early Espresso
Accessories:  Gray Granite 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon,
Antique Corners & Slides Elements

Yesterday I got my stamping table more cleaned off than it has been in a long time.  I finally got everything arranged in my super cabinet find from a couple of week ago.  This gave me a LOT more room on my table.  I am sure I will probably end up crafting in a small space, but my goal is to keep the larger area clean.  Ask me how I am doing with that in about a week!!

Very Versailles

I think I might have mentioned yesterday that non gender specific cards are somewhat difficult for me to come up with.  I have certain stamp sets that I use all of the time when trying to make some of them.  Very Versailles is one of them.

Used here in all brown tones I think it would work for a thinking of you card for anyone.  Collage stamping like this was quite a thing a while back, although I don't see a lot of it anymore.  It works for what I wanted.

Stamps: Very Versailles
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Accessories:  Stampin' Dimensionals

I am getting a VERY late start to my day today as I slept over 10 hours last night.    I guess I didn't realize I was that tired.  Anyway . . . today looks to be like many of my other days, stamping, reading, and baseball.  As I was saying to someone yesterday . . . boring is good . . . it means nothing is wrong!!

Comfort and Hope

One of the things I have been working on is a big order for 100 individual cards.  A quarter of those are to be non gender specific sympathy cards.  I am a flower girl for sure so these are not the easiest thing in the world for me. In scouring the web for some, this one stood out.

I love the look of the wood tone hexagons punched with the Tailored Tag Punch out of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.

Stamps: Comfort and Hope
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White (Inside)
Designer Series Paper: In Good Taste
Ink: Early Espresso
Accessories: Tailored Tag Punch, Braided Linen Trim

I am hoping today to be able to work some more on the card order that I have and also to plan another Product Based Class to send out on Monday.  Right now it is so pleasant sitting on the patio, that I'm having a hard time making myself go in and get to work.  So we shall see what gets done.

Beautiful Autumn

Do you have a great friend and you want them to know how grateful are are for them?  Then this is the card for you!!

Super simple to make with the awesome designer series paper that is in the World of Good paper packet.  I made up several of these the other day and used different sentiments and different dies and they hardly look like the same card.

Stamps: Beautiful Autumn
Cardstock: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Copper Foil
Designer Series Paper: World Of Good
Ink: Memento Black
Accessories:  Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack,

Today is going to be another rather low key day with not much on the agenda . . . not even the Cubs.   It is an off day for them so it may be on off day for me as well!!

Autumn Greetings

Autumn and fall weather are just around the corner and what better way to let a friend know you are thinking about them, than with this friendship card. Once again I found this card on Pinterest, this time from a site called Pretty Paper Cards and it certainly is pretty.

I knew it would be perfect for one of this week's Cards in the Mail.  I do apologize to those of you who are not Hawkeye Fans, as this is also one of my favorite color combinations.  I know anything black and gold will be perfect!!

Stamps: Autumn Greetings
Cardstock: Whisper White Thick, Bumblebee, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Plaid Tidings
Ink: Memento Black
Accessories: Autumn Essentials Dies, Lovely Label Pick a Punch,

Today I need to scramble and get a swap done for a virtual event that I had forgotten about.  The event isn't until mid-September so I thought I had plenty of time.  NOT!!   They need them by Saturday so I am hoping if I get them done today and overnight mail them, they will be in time!!

Happiest of Birthdays

One of the demos I follow is Flowerbug's Inkspot.  I have met LeeAnn several times at events and love visiting and stamping with her.  She had this card posted a few days ago and I knew it would be just perfect for Cards The Mail this week.

Change your designer series paper and your sentiment and you could have just about any card for any occasion.  I love designs that work like that!!

Yesterday I was up to my eyeballs in peaches, but my freezer is stocked with all kinds of yummy peach baked goods for the winter.  It was a lot of work, but will taste oh so good on those cold winter days.  Today there will not be much stamping going on because after yesterday, it is going to be a day of rest!!

Tasteful Touches

There is nothing better than family and good friends.  Sometime we don't always let them know how much we appreciate them.   This is the perfect card to let someone know how much they mean to you.

I have used several of my favorite products on this card . . . Misty Moonlight and the Tasteful Touches stamp set and coordinating dies.  I am not sure why I even put the dies away after I have used them because I will surely need them on the next card I make!!

Stamps: Tasteful Touches
Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy, Whisper White (Inside)
Designer Series Paper: In Good Taste
Ink: Night of Navy
Accessories:  Tasteful Labels Dies, Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder,
Versamark, White Embossing Powder,
Heat Tool, 3/16" Braided Linen Trim,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Today will be another baking day as I hope to use up the remaining peaches that I have.  If I get tired of baking I am just slicing up the ones I have left and freezing them to use this winter.

It has been great being in my craft room the last couple of days but it needs to be picked up and everything put away again before I can continue stamping.  No matter how big of a table I have I seem to end up crafting on about 12" X 12" area.  LOL

So Sentimental

The Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper is surely going to get a work out this fall!!  There are so many cool patterns . . . twelve to be exact . . . and they are all equally awesome!!

I have paired two of them here, with a new to me layout, that I saw on Facebook.  There are so many ways to get inspiration for your stamping these days, you should never run out!!

Stamps: So Sentimental
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Copper Foil
Designer Series Paper: Gilded Autumn

Mini Glue Dots,
Stampin, Dimensionals

Yesterday was a VERY busy day!!  I started with an early morning hair appointment, dropped off some stamping orders, and came home and spent some time in my stamp room finally.  I sat down to watch the Cubs game, only to find out it was blacked out in this area so listened to it on the radio. About the third inning, Julie and Jason called and wondered if it was okay to come over and do some tree trimming they were going to do for us.  So the rest of the afternoon and evening was spent in trimming and picking up branches and twigs.  We ended the day with a picnic of Casey's pizza.

I am hoping to spend some more time in my stamp room today, after enjoying my morning coffee on the patio.  And of course, more baseball this afternoon.

Nothing's Better Than

The first time I saw this stamp set in the catalog it so reminded me of Hanna when she first went out on her own.  "Adulting is Hard" was something I heard from her frequently in those first few years.  And at that time she liked a little coffee with her creamer!!

This is another one of the photos that Stampin' Up provided.

As soon as I am done posting this I am out the door for an early morning hair appointment.  When I get home I am hoping to spend some time in my craft room working on an order and getting cards ready for the next Cards in the Mail Packet.

Love of Leaves

I seem to have lost my stampin' mojo . . . or maybe it is that I have lost my stampin' time!!  Whatever the reason I am using the resources from the Stampin' Up! website to share a card with you today.

This bundle, the Love of Leaves stamp set and the Stitched Leaves dies, is one that did not catch my attention at all until I started seeing all of the cool cards made with it.  So you can bet it is going to be on my next order!!

Between garage sale and peaches my time the last two weeks has been consumed.  I bought what I thought was a small box of peaches right before the storm hit on Monday morning.  My small box of peaches ended up being not so small.  I baked all of these loaves of peach bread and these peach muffins yesterday along with two pans of peach crisp. I also made a big pan of peach crisp on Tuesday when we got the power back.  And would you believe . . . I haven't even used half of them yet!!  My little box of peaches turned out to be not so little!!

Heartwarming Hugs Suite

Once again I am relying on the Stampin' Up! photos to share a suite with you.  This is another one of my favorites . . . Heartwarming Hugs.

I keep thinking . . . if I was doing craft shows, what neat things this suite would make.  The semi-mini coffee cups are bigger than I anticipated and the carrier is super cute!!

What a couple of days it has been.  I left Monday morning after posting here to run some errands and on my way home Hanna texted and said they had just had the worst storm she had ever seen and we should stay home if we didn't need to go anywhere.  She also said to brace ourselves for about two hours.  I thought she was exaggerating  . . . but not this time.  We lost our power about fifteen minutes before the actual storm hit.  I have never seen anything like it and I know most other people haven't either.

This is just one of the trees that fell on out street, right across the street from us.  Luckily none of our trees came down.  John and I spent the afternoon looking out the window watching the storm and then watching the cleanup of the trees.

After about three hours of that I had to do something different . . . but no power . . .  so of course I decided to craft by the window.  I pulled out a couple of Paper Pumpkins that I had been wanting to complete . . . so happily spent the next couple of hours crafting.  The rest of the day, evening, and into the night was spent reading a physical book.  I have been reading on some type of device for so long it seemed weird to hold an actual book.  The flashlight on my phone provided an excellent reading light after it got dark.

We are one of the lucky ones that had out power restored by noon yesterday. Say an extra prayer for those that still don't have electricity!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Gilded Autumn Suite

One of my favorite suites in the Holiday Catalog is the Gilded Autumn Suite.   I love fall, the fall colors, and everything else the cooler temperatures bring.

Since I have been so busy getting ready for the garage sale and then picking up from the garage sale I had no card ready to post today, so decided to take advantage of the images Stampin' Up provides us.  Today is my day to sit down and figure out the next product based class using this suite.

Vintage Chic in Kalona has the neatest repurposed furniture.  I was looking at her Facebook page Saturday between customers and saw this beauty.  Usually I look at her stuff and think . . . "oh I wish I had a place for that".  Not this time . . . I took one look at it and called her and told her I would be right over to pick it up.

It is a good thing I had called her because by the time I got there two other people had contacted her that they would take it!!  It is absolutely perfect for the new die cutting machine and the little drawers are holding all of those things I usually have lying around on my stamp table.  To say I was thrilled is an understatement!!

Dandelion 3D Embossing Folder

I was thrilled to pick up my mail the other day and find another card using vellum and the 3D Embossing Folder.  I just love the way the tops of the dandelions turn white when they dry embossed.

This card comes from my friend, Sandi.  It would be so easy to change this card up so it fits any occasion, just by a change out of sentiment.

Cardstock: Merry Merlot, Vellum
Ink: Memento Black
Accessories:  3D Dandelions Embossing Folder, Mini Glue Dots

Today is going to be a day of rest!!!  I was one pooped puppy by the time I got everything inside yesterday.  It turned out to be pretty warm by the time I was finished.

I have listed what is left from my sale on my LyndaSueStamps4U Facebook group page if you would like to look it over.

Beautiful Autumn

Check out another one of the cards in this week's Cards in the Mail.  I love this Dandelion 3D Embossing Folder.  I know . . . you are thinking . . . .what doesn't she love?  And the answer is . . . not much.

This Vellum cardstock is so cool . . . . you might think I colored the dandelion heads to make them white, but I did not.  The embossing process does it for you!!

Check out two more awesome designs in the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper Pack.  It is so much prettier in person . . . A photo just does not do it justice!!!

I am taking a short break from toting boxes outside for my garage sale to have a cup of coffee and write a post.  As soon as I am done it will be back to box toting.  My friend and trusty sidekick as she called herself, Luetta, will be here this morning to help me set everything up and help with the sale.  It looks like this is going to be an awesome day to spend outside!!  If you haven't let me know you are coming and would still like to come feel free to stop by anytime after 1:30.  I close up shop tonight at 8:00, but will be open again tomorrow from 9-1.
