Art Gallery

Another flower set, you say??  Do I really need another flower set??  If it is the Art Gallery set, then the answer is "Of course I do!!"

I've used the flower dies for this card, but their are some other really cool dies in this set!!  I really like the little shapes like this thank you is cut out with.  There is one this size and one that is just a little bit longer.  Perfect for the wording that comes with this stamp set!!

I have used a new product that is in the January-June 2021 Mini catalog . . . Blending Brushes.  I used them to give just a hint of color to the embossed layer.  They are so easy to use, you are going to want your very own.

Stamps: Art Gallery
Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Seaside Spray, White
Ink: Misty Moonlight, Seaside Spray, Old Olive
Accessories:  Floral Gallery Dies, Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder,
Blending Brushes, Pearl Basic Jewels,
Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Wow . . . I do believe we got more snow that the half inch to inch they were saying we would get.  Good thing I had no plans to go anywhere today!!  I'll be content to sit by my heater and stamp the day away!!

Hello Dear Friend

I continued on last night completing the project kits that I started earlier in the week.  This one . . . Hello Dear Friend . . . is really beautiful.  The photos do not do it justice.

Absolutely everything you need to complete these four cards comes in your kit . . . including the stamp set, block and Misty Moonlight Stampin' Spot.  It truly is crafting on the go!!

Ignore the one upside down card, but here are the 12 cards you will complete. . . 3 each of 4 designs. Six are regular size and six are 4.5" X 2.5".  Envelopes are included as well as a printed decorated box.

If you follow the directions exactly you will have some left over parts and pieces that you can use on other cards.  This is what I was left with when I was done.  What a bargain!!

Stamping and basketball are on the agenda for today . . . I am staying put as I hate to drive in sleet and freezing rain.  I am hoping the forecast is wrong, it is not like I have anything I have to go and do, so staying home it is!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Touch of Ink

Touch of Ink has to be one of the most beautiful Sale-a-Bration stamp sets that has come along in a while.  So far I have only used the butterfly and the leaves, but it also has a beautiful hummingbird, and a flower.

Butterflies rarely come in just one color, so I have achieved a multicolor butterfly by daubing three colors of ink on the stamp.  Using Wink of Stella over the ink really brightened up the colors and made them more vibrant. And of course, I love the Gorgeous Grape cardstock, so I was really pleased with how this card turned out.

Stamps:  Touch of Ink
Cardstock:  Gorgeous Grape, Basic Black, White
Ink:  Memento Black, Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point,
Melon Mambo, Gorgeous Grape
Accessories:  Stitched Rectangle Dies,  Tasteful Label Dies,
Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder,
Versamark, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool,
Sponge Daubers, Gorgeous Grape 3/8" Sheer Ribbon,
Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Wink of Stella,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Are you ready for more winter weather??  I am going to take advantage of the sunshine today and take a little road trip to deliver a product share order.  I am not going far . . . only to Williamsburg, but it will be nice to get out and get some fresh air.  I am hoping to get some stamping done before and after I go.  And of course, tonight there is always Hawkeye basketball!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

You Are Amazing Project Kit

Last night I was able to complete the You are Amazing Project Kit.  Again, it took me maybe an hour to complete this project from start to finish!!

The project kit makes 16 cards, 4 of each of these 4 designs.  I completed it using the You Are Amazing stamp set which is sold separately and 4 ink pads.

The designs are so bright and cheery, and I love having a stash of cards that I completed so quickly!!  This kit would be perfect for crafting on the go, because everything you need other than the inks and stamp set is right in the box!!

The kit includes a printed decorative box so it would be perfect for gift giving as well.  The box is great for storing your other cards as well.

Stamps: You Are Amazing
Kit:  You Are Amazing Project Kit
Ink: Pretty Peacock, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Flirty Flamingo

Cold, Cold, Cold!!!  I am ready for warmer weather!!!  At least I got my car cleaned off yesterday when it was a little bit warmer.  I hope to get a little bit of stamping in today before running some errands this afternoon.  I think tonight will be spent with a warm blanket and my book!!

January Paper Pumpkin

I knew I wanted to work on Valentine cards yesterday and as I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do when I remembered my Paper Pumpkin boxes. I decided that was what I would use this year.  I don't always make up my kits, but I was glad I decided to do so this month.

Everything I needed to make these cards was included in the kit.  I was able finish the kit in about 45 minutes.

There were enough supplies to make 4 of each design for a total of 8 cards with bright Poppy Parade envelopes. Now I just need to make sure I get them in the mail.

I think I will be perfectly content to spend another day hunkered down and working on craft projects.  I am all plowed out and shoveled off, but need to clean my car off.  The post office may be as far as I venture!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Corner Bouquet

Have I said how much I love the emboss resist technique and how much more I love it with the Blending Brushes?  They make it SO much easier than either sponges or sponge daubers.

This is one of the cards that everyone will get to make if we ever get to have Make-It-Monday.  I can only hope that it does not snow next Monday as well.  I guess I should consider myself lucky . . . Hanna says they easily have 12-14 inches of snow and four foot drifts in places, so I will take what we have!!

Stamps:  Corner Bouquet, Heal Your Heart
Cardstock: Thick White, White
Ink: Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point
Accessories:  Versamark, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool,
Blending Brushes,
Basic Rhinestone Jewels

A totally cleaned off stamp table is awaiting me when I get done posting this.  I spent the majority of yesterday, finishing up stamping old card packets and adding them to my craft show stash.  I am hoping to work on some Valentine's cards today.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Punch Pack

Punch Pack is another one of the stamp sets you can get for FREE during Sale-a-Bration with a qualifying party or order.  It has so many cool stamps in it that coordinate with our different punches. The Heart Punch Pack is  just one of them.

This is one of the cards that we were supposed to make at Make-It-Monday tonight.  As I am sitting here typing this, I don't see a flake of snow in sight, but since schools have cancelled for the day the snow must be coming.

Is there anything better than a red, black, and white Valentine?  Those colors just say Valentines to me!!

Here is another version of this card of this same card that people can make if they would rather.    The sentiment "Sending You Smiles for Every Moment on Your Special Day" would work for a birthday or  anniversary or other special occasion.

Stamps: Punch Party
Cardstock: Basic Black, Real Red, White
Designer Series Paper: True Love
Ink: Memento Black
Accessories:  Heart Punch Pack,
Real Red 3/8" Double Stitched Ribbon,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Today may be a hunker down in my stamp room kind of day . . . I have a couple of errands to run right here in town, so I should probably do those this morning, before the flakes start to fly.

Art Gallery

Today's card is another variation on the Emboss Resist technique.  I posted another one of these yesterday.  You can see that card here.  Instead of using the Blending Brushes on this card, I used Sponge Daubers.  I thought they gave the colors a little more definition, rather than blending them all together.  This is the card that I made for the swap that Luetta and I picked up yesterday.

I usually stamp my sentiment on white and layer it with another color, but this time I decide to do the opposite.  What do you think . . . does it show up as well?

I am also thinking that this flower stamp is begging to be used in another Emboss Resist technique . . . Joseph's Coat.  Stay tuned for that to come sometime this week.

Stamps: Art Gallery
Cardstock: Pacific Point, Mango Melody, White
Ink: Pacific Point, Mango Melody, Melon Mambo, Garden Green
Accessories:  Versamark, Clear  Embossing Powder, Heat Tool,
Triple Banner Punch, Sponge Daubers, Silver 3/8" Metallic Ribbon,
Basic Rhinestone Jewels,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday was a great day of visiting.  Luetta and I picked up our swaps and then went to eat lunch.  I think we must have sat there at least 90 minutes, eating, looking at swaps, and just visiting.  And that was after we had visited 45 minutes with Susie.  It is great to talk with people in person!!

Today I am planning on getting everything ready for tomorrow night's Make-It-Monday, although I have a feeling it is going to get postponed if we get the massive snowstorm they are predicting.  We shall see!!

Art Gallery

I have been wanting to try out the Blending Brushes and just hadn't made time to do it.  I decided yesterday was the day and what better way to use them than with one of my favorite techniques . . . Emboss Resist!!

Embossing is one of the reasons I fell in love with stamping many years ago!!  In fact on this day 17 years ago I signed my Demonstrator Agreement Document and started this great journey.  It was one of the best decisions I ever made.  The many people I have met and who have become great friends have seen me through happy times and not so happy times.  It is so much more than ink, paper, and stamps!!!  But enough about that . . . back to the card.  The Blending Brushes are so smooth and easy to use.  I love the finished look and will be using them a lot more in the future.

Stamps:  Art Gallery
Cardstock: White Thick, Basic Black, Just Jade, White
Designer Series Paper:  Fine Art Floral
Ink:  Memento Black, Just Jade, Crushed Curry
Accessories:  Floral Gallery Dies, Versamark, White Embossing Powder,
Heat Tool,  Blending Brushes,
Holiday Rhinestone Jewels,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Shortly after I finish posting this, my friend, Luetta, is picking me up and we are going to head out for lunch and make a detour to pick up some bags of card swaps that are ready.  I am looking forward to the swaps, but more so the company and the visiting.  I may or may not spend some time in my stamp room when I get home.

Oval Occasions

I was extremely pleased to see all of the punches in the January-June 2021 Spring Catalog.  I was really pleased with the Double Oval Punch.  I have always liked the look of an oval layered on a scallop oval.  This punch makes that look very easy to achieve.

I realized that I had several rolls of this scalloped ribbon and that it coordinated perfectly with the scallop oval punch.  This is another one of the cards that is in this week's Cards In the Mail packet.

Stamps: Oval Occasions
Cardstock: Rococo Rose, Night of Navy, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper:  Paper Blooms
 Ink: Night of Navy
Accessories:  Double Oval Punch, Rococo Rose 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon,
Pearl Basic Jewels,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Paperwork is on the agenda for today.  I am trying to finish each week by getting that week's paperwork done.  Hopefully that will leave a little time for stamping when it is all done.

Want to just say hello to a friend?  Then I have the card for you.  It features the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper.  One side of the paper has ice cream designs and the other side of the paper has muted pattterns such as on this card.

This is yet another card in this week's Cards in the Mail.  I have said before and will say it again, the awesome designer series papers make cardmaking easy!!

Stamps: Today's Tiles

I am starting back up again with my second Technique/Stamp club tonight so will be heading to Iowa City this afternoon.  We will be working with the same techniques as the other group did so tonight's prep will be super easy.  I hope to be home in time to watch the Hawkeyes play basketball later this evening.

Heal Your Heart

If you like flowered designer series paper, then you will definitely want to stock up on the Flower & Field paper that is a FREE Sale-a-Bration item with a qualifying purchase.  All of the patterns in this pack of paper are equally awesome.  I would be hard pressed to tell you which is my favorite.  And the back side of each of the papers has some type of botanical pattern that coordinates with the flower side.

Paired here with Misty Moonlight ink and ribbon, it makes a perfect card for Cards in The Mail.  While I have used another FREE Sale-a-Bration item, the Heal Your Heart stamp set, whatever sentiment stamp you have at home would work great.

Stamps: Heal Your Heart
Cardstock: Shaded Spruce, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Flower & Filed
Ink: Misty Moonlight
Accessories:  Sprig Punch, 2 1/4" Circle Punch,
Misty Moonlight 2020-2022 In Color Ribbon,

Heal Your Heart

I know Stampin' Up! designs stamp sets many months in advance . . . sometimes even a year.  They could not have been more spot on with this stamp set "Heal Your Heart."  While this card uses the thank you sentiment from the set the other sentiments are certainly timely . . . particularly the "We're in this together" stamp.  I am sure they did not envision what we would be in together when designing the set.

This stamp set is made even better because it is a Sale-a-Bration stamp set which means it is free with a $50 stamp order before tax and shipping.  This is another one of the cards in this week's Cards In the Mail and you can see that the designer series paper, Fine Art Floral, is gorgeous and does a lot of the work for you.

Stamps: Heal Your Heart
Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Fine Art Floral
Ink: Poppy parade
Stampin' Blends:  Poppy Parade Dark (for coloring pearls)
Accessories:  Stitched Shapes Dies, Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder,
Basic Pearl Jewels,
Stampin' Dimensionals

More stamp room time today . . . I am working with all the parts and pieces I discovered when I cleaned off my table.  Many of them are past class packets that I put there thinking I would stamp them up sometime.  Well . . . the time is now!!

Hydrangea Haven

Oh My Lanta!!!  The Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper is so gorgeous!!  It really makes the card all by itself without any other embellishments!!!  If you don't have this paper then you need to get some!!

This is the first card in this week's Cards in the Mail.  Birthday, thank you, thinking of you, sympathy . . . it would work for any occasion . . . whatever stamps you have at home!!  I have die cut pieces from the Stitched Rectangle Die set and you will get those in your packet, but you could just as easily cut the paper and cardstock and it would look great.

Stamps: Hydrangea Haven
Cardstock: Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Hydrangea Hill
Ink: Gorgeous Grape
Accessories:  Stitched Rectangle Dies, Pastel Pearls,
Gorgeous Grape 3/8" Sheer Ribbon,

As soon as I am done posting this I am out the door to head to Iowa City to pick up some prescriptions and a few groceries while I am there.  I hope to come home and spend the afternoon in my stamping room by my heater once again!!

Dragonfly Garden

Today's card is another one of the cards we made when we went to Muscatine for OnStage OnLine.  Again, I wasn't that crazy about this card then and I am still not sure about it now.

I do like the Dragonflies Punch and think maybe if I had sponged the smaller white dragonflies with another color, I might like it better.  What color would you use?

Stamps: Dragonfly Garden, Enjoy The Moment
Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss, Gray Granite, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Dandy Garden
Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow
Accessories:  Dragonflies Punch, Mossy Meadow 3/16" Braided Linen Trim,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Success . . . .I got my stamping table cleaned off yesterday and found my Fire Stick remote so now I can go back to stamping in my craft room, rather than the kitchen table and my recliner.  I may have to get my portable heater out today if it doesn't warm up some.  I am hoping to get a lot of stamping done today as well as watching the Hawks play basketball and the football playoffs.

Dragonfly Garden

Dragonfly Garden is growing on me, I must say, but when I first saw it I was not impressed.  Back in November when we went to Muscatine to watch OnStage OnLine, this is one of the cards we made as a Make-n-Take for convention.  I have waited this long to share it because I wasn't really taken with it.  Now that I look at it again, it isn't as bad as I thought it might be.

I do like the fact that it is a punch instead of dies.  They are so much easier for me to use and to transport than the dies are.  I am thinking this card needs some bling . . . maybe some In Color Dots or maybe a couple of the Ladybug Trinkets that are in this suite.

Stamps: Dragonfly Garden
Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Bumblebee, Whisper nWhite
Designer Series Paper: Dandy Garden
Ink: Misty Moonlight, Bumblebee
Accessories:  Dragonflies Punch, Stampin' Sponges,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Another day with nothing on the agenda . . . it will probably be a repet of yesterday only with more basketball!!

Pretty Perennials

I know I have a lot of flower stamp sets, but I just couldn't resist this Pretty Perennials stamp set.  I love the "happy" stamp and the fact that you could put just about anything else with it and make the perfect card.

With the weather forecast the colors on the card certainly remind me that warmer days are coming. . . . such a bright springy color combination.  Did you notice the Matte Black Dots on this card?  I think they might be my new favorite accessory in the Spring Mini Catalog.

Stamps: Pretty Perennials
Cardstock: Garden Green, Pacific Point, Whisper White
Ink:  Memento Black, Garden Green, Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, Mango Melody
Accessories:  Matte Black Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

Nothing on the agenda today or for the next several days . . . I am sure I will come up with something to do. . . stamping, reading, or watching basketball.

Darling Donkeys

Darling Donkeys is a Sale-a-Bration set that you either love or hate.  There were so many of you that thought it was so cute that I had to get the set and see what I could make with it.  Pinterest has a wealth of ideas using this set.

This is one of the cards that everyone stamping with me this week got to make.  I got the same reaction at Make-It-Monday . . . .some people really liked it and others could take it or leave it.  It does make a pretty cute Valentine's Day card, though.  And as far as I am concerned you can't go wrong with a black, red, and white Valentine's Day card.

Stamps: Darling Donkeys
Cardstock: Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: True Love
Ink:  Memento Black
Stampin' Blends:  Real Red Combo Pack, Smoky Slate Combo Pack,
Petal Pink Combo Pack
Accessories:  Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Resin Hearts,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Today has been sort of a mixed up day.  I had a couple of things I had to do at home this morning before my hair appointment mid-morning.  Once I got home I started working on finishing up my Christmas scrapbook and totally forgot about a post for today.  I wish I could get into the habit of doing this at night before I go to bed.  Maybe I should make it a new habit . . . we will see if that works.

Touch of Ink

Is there anything better than awesome stamps . . . why yes there is . . . FREE stamps!!  The Touch of Ink stamp set is one of those you can get for free during Sale-a-Bration with a qualifying purchase!!

I have always loved the combination of purple and green , . . it reminds me of both my Grandma and my Mom.  Mom had a bedroom decorated with purple and green after we all left home and grandma loved anything purple.

I think the ladies that made this card at Make-It-Monday liked it as well.  It is one I found on Pinterest and knew I wanted to use it for a class.  It is such a perfect combination of products from different suites and catalogs.

Stamps: Touch of Ink (Sale-a-Bration)
Cardstock: Highland Heather, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Hydrangea
Ink: Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive
Accessories:  Stitched Shapes Dies, Tasteful Labels Dies,
Pastel Pearls, Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Instead of stamping yesterday I closed out my 2020 bookwork and got a start on the 2021 bookwork.  Not fun, but needs to be done.  I say this at the beginning of every year, but my intent this year is to keep up with it in a more timely fashion.  We will see how that goes.  Hopefully there is stamping today.

Sweet Ice Cream

There is always room for ice cream, even in stamping.  The new Ice Cream Corner Suite has some awesome products and we used several of them last night at Make-It-Monday on  this ice cream cone card.

I love the fact that there is a punch in this suite.  It certainly does make it easier to transport to classes and such.  It was interesting to see how people built their ice cream cone stack!!

Stamps: Sweet Ice Cream
Cardstock: Whisper White Thick, Whisper White, Vellum
Designer Series Paper: Ice Cream Corner
Ink: Blackberry Bliss
Accessories:  Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder,
Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch, Opal Rounds,

As soon as I am done posting this I am heading out to run a few errands and pick up some prescriptions.  I have no stamping events to get ready for in the next few days so I hope to make GREAT headway on getting my stamp room in order!!

Friendly Flamingo

I am not really a flamingo person, but I know a ton of people who are so decided that I really needed to get this flamingo bundle that is is the January-June 2021 Mini catalog.

I do really love the sentiments that are in this set . . . which is of course very normal for me.  I tend to buy stamp sets for their sentiments more than the images. I do love that this stamp set is a "DistINKtive stamp set.  It really gives the flamingo a textured look and of course what ink could be better than Flirty Flamingo!!  This is one of the cards that everyone stamping with me tonight will get to make.

Stamps: Friendly Flamingo
Cardstock: Flirty Flamingo
Ink: Flirty Flamingo
Stampin' Blends:  Flirty Flamingo Combo Pack
Accessories:  Flamingo Dies, Nature's Thoughts Dies,
Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon,
Pearl Basic Jewels,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Cardstock is cut and sorted, supplies are gathered and waiting by the back door . . . the only thing left to do is to load the car.  I am glad to be going back to Face to Face In Person stamping tonight.  We have a relatively small group coming and a large room and with our mask I am confident we can all enjoy stamping together again safely.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Thoughts

Today's card shows one of the easiest ways to use up your designer series paper scraps.  A site I look at occasionally, Klompenstampers, had this very card with some other variations the other day.  I knew it would be perfect for a Cards in The Mail card.

And this Peony Garden paper is so pretty.  I love the way it turned out.  I can't wait to try this with some of the new papers in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog and the Sale-a-Bration catalog.

Stamps: Happy Thoughts
Cardstock: Petal Pink, Gray Granite, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Peony Garden
Ink: Gray Granite
Accessories:  Tailored Tag Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

I think today may be a pretty quiet day at the Wilson household.  Hopefully I will get everything ready for tomorrow night so I can stuff envelopes tonight while watching TV.
