Forever Fern

Today I have used the Forever Fern stamp set to make this card to share with you.  This is one of the cards that everyone that stamped with me on Monday night got to make.

The Stamparatus is a must for this type of card . . . it makes it so much easier.  I inked up my stamp just once and then hinge-stamped my way across the cardstock going from dark to light.  A super simple technique but looks awesome!!

Botanical Layers

Today I have used some stamps I made as well as the stamp set, Botanical Layers to make this card to share with you.  This is another one of the cards everyone got to make on Monday night.

How did I get the three different colors of green ink?  I made my own stamps with kids' Fun Foam.  I die cut six circles using the Layering Circles dies.  I glued two of them together and then adhered them to the acrylic blocks.  That way for stamp night people did not have to be cleaning the stamps in between using different colors of ink.  It worked perfectly.  We also stamped the circles and heat set those before stamping with the Versamrk and adding the Silver Embossing Powder.,  Again . . . it worked perfectly!!!

Stamps: Botanical Layers
Cardstock: Basic White Thick, Basic White
Ink: Memento Black, Pear Pizzazz, Granny Apple Green, Garden Green
Accessories:  Versamark, Metallics Embossing Powder,
Heat Tool, Basic Rhinestone Jewels,

Today is doctor day for Lynda.  I decided to go to Iowa City a little early and run some errands and deliver some stamps before heading to my appointments.  When I get home there will be more stamping and of course, baseball!

Apple Harvest

Today I have used the Apple Harvest stamp set and the coordinating dies, Apple Blossoms, to make this card to share with you.  These dies are a limited-time offering and will be available only until the 30th of September.

What a great way to use up small scraps of designer series paper.  While all of them are matching on this card that would not have to be the case!!  Just think of the possibilities!!

Stamps: Apple Harvest
Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Gingham Cottage

If you already have the This Birthday Piggy stamp set you absolutely need the dies to go with it.  They expand your possibilities so much!!  I have found that the Light Blend markers along with the Petal Pink Combo Pack are the perfect combination for coloring the pigs.

Go-To Greetings

Today I have used the stamp set, Go-To Greetings, and the hostess designer series paper, Design a Daydream, to create this card to share with you.  This is another card that my friend, Susie, shared a while back and I thought it would be a perfect Cards in the Mail card.

The designer series paper has been cut diagonally and then adhered to the card front.  Stamp your sentiment and add some embellishments and your card is done.  Super simple!!

Stamps: Go-To Greetings
Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss, Fresh Freesia, Basic White (Inside)
Designer Series Paper: Design a Daydream (Hostess)
Ink: Blackberry Bliss
Accessories:  Fresh Freesia 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon,
Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels,
Mini Glue Dots

I am all ready for a fun day of stamping. Besides the projects that we are planning to do together, I have two shoeboxes of UFOs to work on.  What is a UFO in the stamping world you might ask?  It is an unfinished project.  I have been taking all of the cards that are left over from Make-It-Mondays and stamping them up and then putting them in a plastic shoe box tote to be assembled at another time.  That way when I go to a stamping event, I can just grab the shoebox and have something extra to work on.  This weekend is the weekend to get a lot of them finished up!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Today I have made this card using the Very Best Occasion stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  This is a card that my friend Susie shared last week.

My bags are packed, I'm ready to go . . . but not far!!  One of my stampin' friends and I are going to spend the weekend at an Airbnb stamping our little brains out!!  We have several projects and classes that we would like to get done this weekend.  Since it appears to be a little cooler and rainy, it will be a perfect weekend to do that.  Although any time you are with good friends and stamping it is a perfect weekend!!

Today I have another cute kit to share with you . . . The Best Remedy Kit.

We all know that sometimes life stinks. When it does, there's a simple solution: The Best Remedy Kit! Make one of the adorable, under-the-weather animals the focal point of your card. Then customize your project with the stamp set and embellishments. The stamp set includes cute images and fun phrases that are sure to deliver a smile. When someone you love needs a pick-me-up, this kit offers the perfect remedy!   Here are the three designs in this kit.

The kit has coordinating envelopes for all of the cards.

I think this little birdie card is probably my favorite of the three cards.

Here is the stamp set that is included with the kit.

Hello Harvest

Today I have used the beautiful designer series paper, Rustic Harvest, and the coordinating stamp set, Hello Harvest, to create this card to share with you.  It is one of the Cards in the Mail for this week.

I have used this layout quite often, but this time the designer series paper pieces are die cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  It just seems to add a little something extra.  The gold embossing coordinates with the gold leaf cutout and the Brushed Metallic Dots.  A perfect card for fall giving just to say hello!

Stamps: Hello Harvest
Cardstock: Basic Black, Basic White (Inside)
Designer Series Paper: Rustic Harvest
Accessories:  Stitched Rectangle Dies, Timber 3D Embossing Folder, Versamark,
Metallics Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Brushed Metallics Dots,

My cleaning and purging continued yesterday afternoon after I got home from my Goodwill run.  Another cupboard was cleaned and organized and another load of stuff for Goodwill. I have a fun salon appointment this afternoon so I will probably make a drop-off before I go to that.  Otherwise, I will be cutting cardstock for this week's Cards in the Mail and next Monday's Make-It-Monday.

Very Best Occasions

Today I have used some of my favorite colors and a Holiday Catalog stamp set, Very Best Occasions, to make this card to share with you.  This is one of this week's Cards in the Mail.

This is a great layout for using up the small strips of designer series paper that you might have laying around.  I am thinking that it will make a great Christmas card as well!!  Hopefully, that will get posted sometime a little closer to Christmas!

Stamps: Very Best Occasions
Cardstock: Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Hues of Happiness
Ink: Gorgeous Grape
Accessories:  Stitched Rectangle Dies, Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder,
White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding, Glossy Dots Assortment,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Mission accomplished yesterday . . . . I got my book finished for Zoom Book Club by about 11:00.  I then got a wild idea of cleaning out and reorganizing my food cupboards and getting rid of anything outdated.  I actually got that done by mid-afternoon so I had some time to sit and stitch.  I am continuing on that track today . . . I already have another cupboard cleaned out and a load of stuff ready to go to Goodwill.  So . . . as soon as I am done posting this I will load up the vehicle and head to Iowa City for a Goodwill run and maybe get a few groceries.  My cupboards are pretty bare after yesterday's purge.  I may even fit some stamping in or at least cardstock cutting this afternoon!

Inspired Thoughts

Today I have used the stamp set, Inspired Thoughts, to make this sympathy card to share with you.  I know I have said it before but sympathy cards are the one type of card I like to have on hand because I can never make one when I need it!!

I have plenty of this Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper as I had to order several packets earlier this year for a big project I was doing.  It is also one of this week's Weekly Deals so you can get some on sale too through Wednesday night.  A little bit of die cutting and your sympathy card is done . . . super simple!!

Soft Seedlings

Today I have used the stamp set, Soft Seedlings, again to make this card to share with you.  I might have mentioned that it is fast becoming one of my favorite stamp sets in the Holiday Catalog.

I used the baby wipe technique with this card . . . using Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, and Crushed Curry Re-inkers.  I made 24 of these cards for a swap and none of them turned out the same!!

Stamps: Soft Seedlings
Cardstock: Basic Black, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Rustic Harvest
Ink: Cajun Craze
Accessories:  Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, and Crushed Curry Re-inkers, Festive Pearls

Well . . .that has to be one of the most bizarre Hawkeye football games I have ever been to.  Seven hours and three lightning delays!!  I left in the middle of the first lightning delay as I did not want to drive home by myself any later at night.  As it turned out I am very glad I did!!  I gave up at midnight when the third delay started and went to bed.  But . . . a win is a win!!  Here's to better weather at the next game!!

Soft Seedlings

Today I have used the 3D Embossing Folder, Leaf Fall, and the stamp set, Soft Seedlings, to make this card to share with you.

I inked up the stamp with Crushed Curry ink and then wiped off the stem and colored it with an Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker.  I then took my sponge daubers and daubed Cherry Cobbler and Pumpkin Pie ink onto the leaf.  Blew on and then stamped.

Stamps: Soft Seedlings
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla
Ink: Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie
Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker

Watercolor Shapes

Today I have used the stamp set, Watercolor Shapes, to make this nice bright sunshiny card to share with you.  This is one of the cards that everyone stamping on Monday night at Make-It-Monday got to make.

I love being able to use stamps in ways that are not necessarily intended.  The small oval in the  Watercolor Shapes seemed to be perfect for the sun's rays.  And with all the great sunny days that we have been having it seemed appropriate to say "thank you"!  The bronze Brushed Metallic Dots were the perfect accent!!

Stamps: Plentiful Plants, Watercolor Shapes

Today I have used the Apple Harvest stamp set and the coordinating dies, Apple Blossom Dies, to make this card to share with you.  This is one that everyone stamping with me at Make-It-Monday this week got to make.

Love, love, love coloring with my Stampin' Blends!!  The Apple Harvest set was another one that was not even on my radar until the dies came out.  This stamp set is in the Holiday Mini Catalog but the Apple Blossom Dies are a "while supplies last" item until the end of the month.  You had best get them while you can!!

Fresh Cut Flowers

Today I have used the Fresh Cut Flowers stamp set and the coordinating die set, Fresh Cut Stems, to make this card to share with you.  Fresh Cut Stems is one of the limited-time die sets that is available only this month.

There was quite a bit of coloring on this card but it went pretty quickly. This is a stamp set that was not really on my radar until the die set became available.  It certainly makes very pretty fall-colored flowers.

Cardstock: Evening Evergreen, Calypso Coral, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Pretty Prints

Stampin' Blends:  Calypso Coral Combo Pack, Evening Everygreen Combo Pack

Simply Fabulous

Today I have used the Simply Fabulous stamp set to make this card to share with you.  This is one of the cards that everyone will be making tonight at Make-It-Monday.

There is a lot of die-cutting on this card as the black leaf has to be cut three times and then you have to cut a Poppy Parade, Crushed Curry, and Granny Apple Green leaf so that you have the insides.  But I love the way it turned out!!  And the sentiment is so true . . . there is beauty in everything if we just look for it!!

Stamps: Simply Fabulous
Cardstock: Basic White Thick, Shaded Spruce, Poppy Parade, Crushed Curry,
Granny Apple Green, Basic Black, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Celebrate Everything, Regals 6" X 6"
Ink: Memento Black
Accessories:  Country Wreath Dies, Classic Matte Dots

Everything is cut, stuffed, gathered, and sitting by the back door waiting to be loaded into the car for Make-It-Monday tonight.  I am hoping to get a little other stamping in today before heading to Kalona.  I would like to get back to some of the scrapbooking that I started a couple of weeks ago.

Hope & Peace

Today I have used the sentiment from Hope & Peace to make this card to share with you.  I used the Recessed Panel card technique on this card.  You can see another card made with the same technique here.

This card used a LOT of dimensionals because you want to be sure and keep the embossed panels of the card raised so that the recessed panel looks recessed.  This technique is not difficult once you get the hang of it.  You just need to have patience and make sure you are cutting your dry embossed piece of cardstock correctly.  After making 20 of these for a swap I think I might have it down!!

Stamps: Hope & Peace
Cardstock: Basic White Thick, Real red, Basic White, Gold Foil
Designer Series Paper: Boughs of Holly
Accessories:  Fren 3D Embossing Folder, Versamark, Metallics Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels, Stampin' Dimensionals

Well, the game did not go as well as I had hoped yesterday but it was still a fun time.  Wishing the rain could have held off another hour but at least it wasn't cold.  So thankful for a healthy knee that lets me climb the Kinnick Stadium steps and gets me back and forth from tailgating to the stadium!!  Probably will never be able to say that enough!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Soft Seedlings

Today I have used the stamp set, Soft Seedlings, to make this card to share with you.  This is a card we made at a demo event back in July that my friend, Susie, supplied.  It is also one that we made at a Make-It-Monday back in August and I just forgot to share it.

The Soft Seedling stamp set is fast becoming one of my favorites in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  For this card,  I inked the stamp up with Crushed Curry ink and then used Sponge Daubers to daub Pumpkin Pie ink around the center of the leaf and Cajun Craze around the edges of the leaf.  I love the way it turned out.

Stamps: Soft Seedlings
Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper: Splendid Day
Ink: Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories:  Aspen Tree Dies, Linen Thread, Elegant Faceted Gems,
Sponge Daubers, Mini Glue Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

As soon as I am done posting this I am out the door for another fun day of Hawkeye tailgating and a football game.  We have a big group tailgating this week since it is the Iowa/Iowa State game.  Should be a fun day and hopefully, the weather cooperates until after the game.

Go-To-Greetings

Today I have used the beautiful designer series paper, Texture Chic, and the Go-To-Greetings stamp set to make this card to share with you.  I saw it on a sight I follow . . . .Stamp With Peggy . . . and just changed up the colors!

This is one of the few cards I have ever made that has no embellishments on it, but the paper speaks for itself!!  It is embellishment enough!!

Stamps: Go-To Greetings
Cardstock: Petal Pink, Basic White, Gold Foil
Designer Series Paper: Texture Chic
Ink: Petal Pink

Today is going to be another day of rest so I can be good to go for  Iowa-Iowa State tailgating and the game tomorrow.  John and I are both fighting colds so I decided resting would be the best option today!!

Charming Sentiments

Today I have used the Charming Sentiments stamp set as well as the hostess designer series paper, Celebrate Everything to make this card to share with you.  My friend Susie made one with these colors and layout last month using a Sale-a-Bration paper.

Once again I have colored the Gold & Vanilla Satin-Edged Ribbon with a Stampin' Blend . . . this time Poppy Parade to match the card base.  I ripped the designer series paper at an angle and layered another piece of embossed Crushed Curry in the gap.

Stamps:  Cahrming Sentiments
Cardstock:   Poppy Parade, Crushed Curry, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Celebrate Everything (Hostess)
Ink: Poppy Parade

Today brings a doctor's appointment for John and a lunch out with friends for me afterward.  No stamping on the agenda . . . it's a good thing I got my swap all done yesterday as well as all of the Cards in the Mail packets.  They are sitting on the kitchen table awaiting a trip to the post office.

Charming Sentiments

Today I have used the stamp set, Charming Sentiments, and the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper that has been colored in with Stampin' Blends to make this card to share with you.

This is the first time I have used the Twigs and Sprigs Embossing Folder.  It is pretty cool and adds a fall touch to the second layer of the card.  The Aspen Tree Dies cut and emboss the leaves at the same time so that is pretty cool and a time saver!!  Add some embellishments and you are good to go.

Well, the cookies got baked yesterday and I must say I love the new mixer.  However, that led to a reorganization of my counter space and that led to a reorganization and purging of the drawers beneath that counter space.  So needless to say, no cardstock got cut yesterday!!  Maybe today is the day!
