Fragrant Flowers

Today Is the last day of Sale-a-Bration and your last day to get this awesome Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper.  This is a card that was in last week's Cards in the Mail and one I saw on my friend, Susie's, site.

At first glance, this paper looks to be very busy and overwhelming but if you pair it with the right colors and in small pieces, it is really awesome.  I love the way she has colored the Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon with the Calypso Coral Stampin' Blend.  The Milky Adhesive Dots make the perfect embellishment to finish off this card.

Beautifully Happy

I had to share one more card with the Sale-a-Bration stamp set, Beautifully Happy before all of the SAB items disappear tomorrow night.  This is also one of the cards that everyone will be making at Make-It-Monday.

I did use the no longer available dies, Seasonal Label Dies, for the sentiment piece but you could easily substitute another small label die if you don't have that set.  I love the color combination of the soft lavender with the green.

This is a funky fold card with just the small middle section opening as shown.  Sometimes it is good to have a very small message space!!

Something Fancy

Today I have used the Something Fancy stamp set and the coordinating dies, Something Fancy, to make this card to share with you.

If you have not checked out the sentiment stamp set, Something Fancy, you should.  It has excellent sentiments and fun fonts.

This is a fun fold card opening from both the top and the bottom.  The Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots are the perfect embellishment for this designer series paper.

Easter Bunny

Today I have used the stamp set, Easter Bunny, and the coordinating Easter Bunny Punch, to make this card to share with you.

While this stamp set is designed to make Easter cards, I love the fact that it makes baby cards as well.  Change up the designer series paper and the cardstock to something in the soft pink family and you have the perfect card for a baby girl.  I also love that it is a punch which makes it so easy to use.  What new parents wouldn't love to get a card like this!!

Fragrant Flowers

Today I have used the stamp set, Fragrant Flowers, and the coordinating Sale-a-Bration item, Favored Flowers to make this card to share with you.

I used the Deckled Rectangle Dies to die cut a rectangle out of the bigger piece of designer series paper.  When you then layer it on the Fresh Freesia cardstock and back on the original designer piece of paper it gives a fun effect.  I truly did use Blackberry Bliss ink and then realized I needed to reink the ink pad and was going to stamp it again but decided I kind of liked the mutedness on this one.

Something Fancy

Today I have used the stamp set, Something Fancy, and the now sold-out Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper, Dainty Flowers, to make this card to share with you.

I rarely stamp directly onto the designer series paper, but this pattern in the Dainty Flowers just called for it.  I love how it gives a hint of color to the sentiment piece but does not totally overpower it!!

Simply Fabulous

Today I have used the Annual Catalog stamp set, Simply Fabulous, and the Regency Park Designer Series Paper to make this card to share with you.

This is probably not a color combination I would ever have come up with on my own but took my clue from the designer series paper.  I must say you probably need the paper to make this combination work!!  This is a fun fold card as the front of the card it much smaller than the card base.

Sentimental Park

Today I am using the gorgeous flowered paper in the Regency Park Designer Series Paper pack to make this card to share with you.

This is a perfect layout to make up a bunch of cards to have on hand and then just add the appropriate sentiment when you need a card.  It is also a good way to use up some of the smaller scraps of designer series paper you may have laying around.

Beautiful Thistle

I love the dies that have two different sizes that nest together.  And I am sure I have told you that you really need to get a pack of this Dandy Designs paper.  You only have two weeks left to do that!!!  it is awesome.

This is a super simple card to mass produce if you need a lot of cards in a hurry.  There is also a sentiment that says "thanks" in this stamp set that would be great for making a lot of thank yous.  And . . . believe it or not, there is not a single dimensional on this card.  That is pretty unusual for me!!

Country Bouquet

Today I have used the stamp set, Country Bouquet, and the coordinating punch, Country Bouquet Punch, to make this card to share with you.  This is one of the cards that I made at the Stampin' Sisters Demo event back in January and one of the cards that everyone made last Monday night at make-It-Monday.

I love the masculine look of the card and the way it showcases that even though this is a Valentine's Day stamp set it can be used for so much more!!  The Country Bouquet stamp set is one of the DistINKtive stamp sets so the stamp actually does the shading for you.

Great day to stay home and craft!!!  Yesterday I picked up the photos that I had printed from last week's cruise.  My goal today is to get my cruise scrapbook done today.  This is made much easier since I already had 24 12" X 12" scrapbook pages all done.  This was one of the crafting projects that Tina provided us on the cruise.  This might be the first scrapbook that I have EVER completed!!

Silly Goose

Today I am sharing another one of the cards we made at a demo event by the Stampin' Sisters back in January.  This is also one of the cards that everyone made on Monday night at Make-It-Monday.

This is a super simple fold and layout that I have used many times.  And there is not even much coloring . . . the designer series paper does most of the work for you.  Add some embellishments and you are good to go.

Country Bouquet

Happy Valentine's Day!!  Today I have used the stamp set, Country Bouquet,  the coordinating designer series paper, Country Floral Lane, and the coordinating punch, Country Bouquet Punch, to make this Valentine's Card to share with you.

Such a simple layout that you could use for any holiday or occasion simply by changing the designer series paper, sentiment, and die cuts.  I love when I can find a layout that works like that.  I did add adhesive to the red ribbon before placing it on the burlap ribbon because I wanted to make sure it stayed in place perfectly centered.

Friendly Gnomes

Today I have used the Friendly Gnomes set to make this card to share with you.  This is one of the cards that Peggy provided when I went to a Stampin' Sisters Demo event in January.  I thought it was the perfect card to share since Valentine's day is tomorrow.

The heart has been stamped twice and fussy cut and then popped up on a dimensional.  I am not really a gnome fan but there have been lots of cute cards made with this set.

I am back from a wonderful 5 days on the cruise and two not-so-great days on the cruise.  The ports of call were fun and on dry land.  For some reason, I got seasick on the last two crafting days at sea so I spent the time in bed in our stateroom.  I was fine once we hit dry land and have been ever since.  After a few months to forget the seasickness, I will be ready to go again!!

Rainy Day

Today I have used the Rainy Day turtle to make this treat holder to share with you.

This treat holder opens up like a matchbook and inside there is a little package of M&M's.    It is a good thing I like to color because there was a lot of coloring by the time I got 55 of these babies done.

Not exactly sure what I was thinking when I decided to do these but I did want to have something to hand out to all of the stampers I will be spending the next seven days with!!  Hope they like them!!

I must say I wasn't sure I would like this Fragrant Flowers paper but the more I use it the better I like it.  I definitely like the flowered side in small doses, however.  The patterned side is great however you want to use it.

These are super simple cards because the paper does absolutely all of the work.  With some strategic cutting, you can get six cards from one sheet of designer series paper.  What better way to make a stack of cards very quickly for any occasion depending on the sentiment that you choose!!

It is no secret that I love the Christmas season and I always hate to take my decorations down.  I do try to have them down by the first of February usually and since that is today, yesterday was the day that they came down.  Besides making numerous trips up and down the basement steps I also made some headway on my swaps and gifts for the cruise this weekend.  Today will be more of the same with a quick trip to Iowa City thrown in the middle of the day.
