Awesomely Artistic

Here is another one of the cards everyone got to make Monday night.  I had decided a while ago that I was also going to include stamp sets from the regular catalog on stamp nights, instead of only focusing on the seasonal catalogs.

I love this color combination of Wild Wasabi, Mossy Meadow, and Rich Razzleberry.

Stamps:  Awesomely Artistic
Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White
Ink:  Wild Wasabi, Mossy Meadow, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories:  Rich Razzleberry Cotton Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Last week before we met Hanna in Galena she said that she needed some other Christmas gifts for people and wondered if I had any spare cards laying around.  Well, I just happen to have a plethora of cards so I made up 10 packets of 15 all occasion cards for her to give out as gifts.  Hardly even made a dent in my stash!!  LOL

I think they turned out pretty cute.  I hope the people that she is giving them to like them as well.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Wetlands

Today's card is a super simple one that is gender neutral and takes very few supplies.  It is also one everybody made last night.

This is one of the cards that will go in my stash for gender neutral cards next time I get an order for sympathy cards.  I sometimes have a really hard time coming up with them when I need them.

Stamps:  Wetlands
Cardstock:  Whisper Whisper Thick, Whisper White
Ink:  Garden Green and Rich Razzleberry Markers
Accessories:  Stampin' Dimensionals

Last night's stamp night got a little disrupted when I found out that we had actually gotten Rose Bowl tickets and we were really going to be able to go. Thanks to my brother and his wife we now have game tickets, parade tickets, parking for all day, car rental, and hotel reservations.  My bucket list will be complete!!

Moving right past Christmas to Valentine's Day . . . not really but I did want to share a card made with the Six Sayings stamp set that will be retiring at the end of the month.

Taking a break from Christmas cards to share my latest project that has been keeping me busy.

Hanna texted me the first part of the week and wanted to know if I was busy this week.  She was wondering if I could make some ornaments for her to give to the staff at the school and also to the students in her advisory class.

Since they are the Wildcats, and their color is purple, we decided on this ornament.

Forty-five ornaments later they are all done.  I did use retired product on these . . . Festive Flurry stamp set and framelits and Perfect Plum and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.  It really did not take me all that long to get them done once I got it designed and got my system down for creating them all.

Today I am working on getting everything ready for Make-It-Monday, as we are spending the weekend in Galena and I want to have everything ready so I don't have to do it when I get home Sunday night.

Here is another card that I made as part of the shoebox swap when I was in Door County in October.  I think the credit goes to Anne for bringing this card.

I know she said she had cased it from the Holiday Catalog.

I will be hard at work today trying to finish up Hanna's ornaments so that I can take them to her this weekend when we meet in Galena.  Wish me luck!!

Snow Place

Today's card again comes from a demonstrator meeting I attended back in August.  This was one of our shoebox swaps, brought by demonstrator friend, Nicole.

I just love this little guy and the penguin in the set is really cute as well.

Today is my Hospice volunteer day and then hopefully I will be helping my friend Judy, move from the hospital.  We are keeping our fingers crossed that it is a go this time!!

December 7, 2015

Today's card comes from one I received in a swap from my stamping friend and demonstrator, Rory, who lives in New York.

I haven't really played with these framelits much other than at a downline meeting back in August.  I have them, but they continue to sit on my shelf.  I do believe I need to get them out and use them!!

I finished and delivered my big order of custom Christmas cards this morning and was just getting ready to sit and read for a while when I got a message from Hanna.  She wanted to know if I was busy this week and would it be possible to make 44 West Central Valley Christmas ornaments.  So . . . it is off to the stamp room I go.  Good thing there is only reruns on TV right now!!

Wonderland

I know I got this card in a swap but for the life of me I can't remember who from or where. (Dawn Klein just claimed this swap…thanks, Dawn!!)

I love the way the wreath was made with the Itty Bitty Accent Punch.

My Hawkeyes played their hearts out last night . . . they have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.  If only the game could have ended 30 seconds earlier.

Now hopefully they will be able to go to the Rose Bowl.

Guy Greetings

This camo technique that we worked with Thursday night at Technique/Stamp Club is going to be so cool to use on guy cards, particularly with any of the wilderness or outdoors stamps that you might have.

It looks difficult to do but is really very simple as long as you don't mind crumpling your card stock.

Stamps:  Guy Greetings
Cardstock:  Soft Suede, Old Olive, Very Vanilla
Ink:  Crumb Cake, Old Olive. Always Artichoke, Soft Suede
Accessories:  Blender Pen, Corner Trio Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

Here is my Day 4 of my December Daily Project Life Scrapbook.  I already have my photos and my ideas for the next couple of days so I certainly hope I can continue to keep this up!!

By the time you read this I should be well on my way to Mount Pleasant for my last craft show of the year.  Since one of my shows got snowed out I have a lot of stuff left.  I hope I can sell a lot of it today.  The best thing is that it is over at 2 so I can still watch the Hawkeyes tonight in the Big Ten Championship Game.  Go Hawks!!!

A Cozy Christmas

Last night was technique club and one of the techniques we worked with was Watercolor Smash.  You normally use more than one color of ink, but I wanted to make a Christmas card and my colors kept turning out muddy so I decided to go with just red.

The photo does not do it justice but when you use Shimmery White paper there is a sparkle that shines through the red.

Stamps:  A Cozy Christmas
Cardstock:  Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Shimmery White
Ink:  Real Red Marker, Archival Basic Black
Accessories:  Softly Falling Embossing Folder, Big Shot,
Envelope Punch Board (for corner rounding),
Window Sheets, Stampin' Spritzer,
Real Red 1/8" Striped Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Here is Day 3 from yesterday of my December Daily project.  Not very fancy, but I am enjoying telling the story.

December Daily

I had some time yesterday so I decided to start my December Daily Project Life book and try to add to it day by day instead of doing it all at the end of the month.

I think I had more fun decorating the cover than I did making the pages.

I decided to write my pages this year as if I was writing to someone who doesn't know our family.

I am not a scrapbooker at all and the one thing I really struggle with is my handwriting on the pages. But then I come across a recipe in my mom's or someone else's handwriting and it gives me a warm cozy feeling so I am hoping my writing in these scrapbooks will do the same for people reading them later.

Once again my intention is to share my pages as I get them done so we will see how I do with that.  We know how well I did with my Thankful Journal!!

Flurry of Wishes

Here is another Flurry of Wishes card . . . this time with more traditional colors.

I was playing around with color combinations for my order of Christmas cards that I am making.  I think if I had to do this again, I would go with either Lost Lagoon or Marina Mist in place of the Smoky Slate.  This was one of the options I gave them that they did not choose.

Stamps:  Flurry of Wishes
Cardstock:  Night of Navy, Smoky Slate, Very Vanilla
Ink:  Smoky Slate, Craft Whisper White
Accessories:  Snow Flurry Punch, Stampin Dimensionals

If you have ever wondered what the stamped parts and pieces look like for 160 cards, wonder no longer.  Here they are just waiting to be assembled.

The good news is that I got a lot done last night watching two of my new favorite TV show . . . Chicago Med and Chicago Fire.  I hope to get the rest of them done today!!

Flurry of Wishes

I happened to see this card on Pinterest and the color combination caught my eye, so I had to give it a try in person.

Tangleo Twist, Pear Pizzazz, and Rich Razzleberry are not what I would call traditional Christmas colors, but once I got it done, I kind of like it.

Stamps:  Flurry Of Wishes
Cardstock:  Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Ink:  Pear Pizzazz, Tangelo Twist, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories:  Snow Flurry Punch,
Home For Christmas Enamel Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

Today is my Hospice volunteer day. I am planning on visiting a friend in the hospital while I am in Iowa City and then stopping at a funeral visitation on my way home.  I hope to work on my Christmas card order when I get home.  I made great progress yesterday, but still have quite a bit to do.
