Country Bouquet

Today I have used the Country Bouquet stamp set and coordinating punch to make this card to share with you.

I haven't embossed Vellum for quite a while but really do like the look of it.  I love the way this card turned out but unfortunately, the Country Bouquet Punch is on backorder and won't be available until April!!

Stamps: Country Bouquet
Cardstock: Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo, Basic White, Vellum
Ink: Gorgeous Grape
Accessories:  Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder, Country Bouquet Punch,

Wow . . . today is the only day this week before I leave on Saturday with nothing on the agenda!!  I decided to make little gifts for everyone stamping on the cruise so today is the day to get them done.  We shall see how successful I am at that!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Ginkgo Branch

Today I have the last card in the Ginkgo Branch class packet to share with you.

With a change out of sentiment, this too could be a sympathy or thinking of you card.  This set is just perfect for those!!

Stamps: Ginkgo Branch
Cardstock: Basic White Thick, Granny Apple Green, Basic White
Ink: Granny Apple Green
Accessories:  Ginkgo Branch Dies,  Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Today is going to be another finish-it-up kind of day.  I managed to get a lot of things done yesterday before a great basketball game, a not-so-great football game, and then another super football game.  I guess two out of three isn't bad!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Ginkgo Branch

Here is another card made with the Ginkgo Branch stamp set and dies.  It is the third of four cards you would receive if you buy this package.

The Mossy Meadow and the Granny Apple Green cardstock make a great green combination.  The perfect card to let someone know you are thinking of them.

Stamps: Ginkgo Branch
Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Granny Apple Green, Basic White
Ink: Granny Apple Green
Accessories:  Ginkgo Branch Dies, Flat Back Adhesive Pearls,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Well despite the weather yesterday we had a good time on our adventure.  We tried going on a Herky Hunt but I seem to have forgotten where I have seen them in the past.  We did manage to find a dozen of them.  Our efforts to take pictures with them were not very successful either.  It was too cold and snowy to do it outside and we didn't find any inside.  We did have a fun time playing at the play area in the mall and rode the carousel.  We stopped and got Zio Johno's for supper and came home and vegged out the rest of the day.  After monkey bread for breakfast, they are taking off for home and I will spend the rest of my day cutting cardstock and watching basketball and football.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Ginkgo Branch

Today I have again used the Ginkgo Branch stamp set along with the coordinating dies to make this card to share with you.

Soft Sea Foam is not a color I use often but it is certainly appropriate for a subtle sympathy card.  This card would be super simple to reproduce so that you always had some on hand when you need them.  Sympathy cards are some that I like to have on hand because I can never make one when I need it.

Stamps: Ginkgo Branch
Cardstock: Soft Sea Foam, Basic White
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Accessories:  Ginkgo Branch Dies, Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls,
Stampin' Dimensionals

A good night's sleep was had by all . . . some on the floor and some on the couch.  Not sure what are plans are for today, but whatever it is I am sure we will have a good time.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Ginkgo Branch

Today I have used the Ginkgo Branch stamp set and dies to make this card to share with you.  This is one of the cards that is in my Ginkgo Branch product-based class.

The stamp is one of the DistINKtive types of stamps so the shading is all done for you.  It seems like I have been needing more and more sympathy and thinking of you cards and this is the perfect card for that.

Stamps: Ginkgo Branch
Cardstock: Basic White Thick, Granny Apple Green, Basic White
Ink: Granny Apple Green
Accessories:  Ginkgo Branch Dies,  Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls,
Stampin' Dimensionals

After an early morning grocery run, I am home and ready to craft for a while.  Hanna texted yesterday and wondered if we were going to be home . . . Jake has a youth retreat this weekend and she wondered about her and the kids coming over and we could have a sleepover.  Sounded like the perfect idea to me . . . but I needed to pick up a few things.  We will probably take the kids to Iowa City tomorrow and find something to do before they head home in the afternoon.

Thanks a Bunch

Today I am sharing another one of the cards that my friend, Susie, provided for a demo event last Saturday.  This is also one of the cards that everyone made that stamped with me this week.

I was not totally sold on the bunny set until I started seeing a lot of cute cards made with it.  So of course I had to have it right away!!  I love how she separated the twine into individual strands and then tied the bow.

This is a fun fold card using the bookbinding fold as well as flip flaps.  I have seen some that use either of these techniques but not together and not opening just this way.  I thought it was pretty cool.

Stamps:  Thanks a Bunch (Sale-a-Bration)
Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Pale Papaya, Basic White, Vellum
Designer Series Paper: Dandy Designs (Sale-a-Bration)
Ink: Calypso Coral
Accessories:  Layering Circles Dies, Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder,
Easter Bunny Punch, Three Twine Combo Pack,
Iridescent Pastel Gems, Mini Glue Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Another day at home, another day hoping to get a lot accomplished!!  I have my list made of everything I would like to get done before leaving for our cruise on February 4th.  It is a long list but I think I can get it done!!

Ginkgo Branch

Today I have used the Ginkgo Branch stamp set along with the coordinating dies, Ginkgo Branch Dies, to make this card to share with you.  This is one of the cards that my friend, Dawn, brought as her shoebox swap on Saturday.

The vellum overlaying the stamped branches certainly gives it a much softer look.  The splatter made by flicking the marker on the cap is not my forte but I am learning.  I don't think it came out too bad.

Stamps: Ginkgo Branch, Something Fancy
Cardstock: Basic White Thick, Basic Grey, Basic White, Vellum,
Ink: Evening Evergreen
Accessories:  Ginkgo Branch Dies, Versamark, Basics Embossing Powder,
Heat Tool, Black Stampin' Write Marker, Elegant Faceted Gems,
Stampin' Dimensionals

What a good day to stay inside and craft.  The traffic seems to be moving pretty quickly up and down our street, but since school was delayed, it might be slicker than it appears.  I don't need an excuse to stay home but this one is as good as many.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Beautifully Happy

Today I have used the Sale-a-Bration stamp set, Beautifully Happy, along with the Sale-a-Bration paper, Dandy Designs, to make this card to share with you.  This is a card I received as a swap in Wisconsin and also one that everyone stamping with me this week gets to make.

The first time I used this stamp set I set it up on the Stamparatus.  This time I decided to just eyeball it and try to get it lined up.  I think that was the easiest.  It sure beats changing the plates on the Stamparatus many times.  This is not a color combination that I would normally use . . . in fact I rarely use Mango Melody . . . but the colors work well together.

Stamps: Beautifully Happy
Cardstock: Mango Melody, Mossy Meadow, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Dandy Designs
Ink: Mossy Meadow, Mango Melody
Accessories:  Double Oval Punch, Pastel Adhesive-Backed Gems,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Another day, another doctor's appointment for John.  Hopefully, there will be a little time for stamping before we need to leave!!

Love Cats

Today I have used the Love Cats stamp set again to make this card to share with you.  This is one of the cards that I took as a swap this weekend and also one of the cards everyone will be making tonight.

When I started designing this card it only had three layers on it.  After looking at it for a while I decided that it was rather plain and needed a couple more layers so on went the black layer and the white embossed layer.  I was much happier with it after that.  I tried using the Red Basic Rhinestones for the heart but they just weren't the right color so ended up coloring the Elegant Faceted Gems with Stampin' Blends.

Stamps: Love Cats
Cardstock: Sweet Sorbet, Basic Black, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Country Gingham
Ink: Memento Black, Sweet Sorbet
Stampin' Blends:  Sweet Sorbet Combo Pack (for coloring gems)
Accessories:  Deckled Rectangle Dies, Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder,
Double Oval Punch, Elegant faceted Gems,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Everything is ready for tonight and sitting by the door waiting to be loaded into the Rav.  My next goal is to get my cruise swaps done today or tomorrow so that I can then go on to my next to-do item . . . which is to get classes ready for while I am gone!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Rainy Day

Today I have used the stamp set, Rainy Day to make this card to share with you.  This is one of the cards I took as a swap yesterday and one of the cards everyone stamping with me this week will get to make.

This is a pretty basic layout that I have used many times.  When you change up the focal point and the colors it always looks very different.  Yesterday everyone's turtles look pretty different because your blending and coloring style also makes the turtle look different.

Stamps: Rainy Day
Cardstock: Old Olive, SoSaffron, Basic White
Ink: Memento Black, Balmy Blue
Stampin' Blends:  Old Olive Combo Pack, Granny Apple Green Combo Pack,
So Saffron Combo Pack, Poppy Parade Combo Pack,
Crumb Cake Combo Pack
Accessories:  Layering Circles Dies,  Raindrops Embossing Folder,
Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels,  Balmy Blue/White 1/2" Varigated Ribbon,
Mini Glue Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

What a great day yesterday visiting and stamping with friends.  Today I am planning on finishing up everything for Make-It-Monday tomorrow night.  I hope to have everything cut so that I can stuff envelopes during the football games this afternoon and evening.

Seaside Bay

Today I am using the stamp set, Seaside Bay, to make this card to share with you.  This is another one of the cards we made at the demo seven I went to last weekend.

It does not show up very well in the photos but there is a layer of silver foil behind the strip of designer series paper.  I often forget about my Simply Scored tool but I do like the way this card has scoring marks as part of the embellishment.

Stamps: Seaside Bay
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Basic White, Silver Foil
Designer Series Paper: By The Bay
Ink: Night of Navy
Accessories:  Simply Scored, Night of Navy 3/8" Bordered Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

As soon as I am done posting this I need to get my salad made to take to a demo event I am going to today.  Looking forward to seeing everyone and spending a fun day stamping.

Something Fancy

For this card, I have used the Something Fancy stamp set, with the Like An Animal Designer Series Paper.  This is another one of the cards that we made last weekend in Wisconsin.  It was perfect for a Cards in the Mail card.

I was not too sure about the Like An Animal Designer Series Paper, but if you use it in small pieces it is not so overwhelming.  For the ribbon embellishment, I tied a bow and then wrapped the ends around the piece of Smoky Slate cardstock.  (Not to well I might add!)

Stamps: Something Fancy
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Smoky Slate, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Like An Animal
Ink: Basic Gray
Stampin' Blends:  Smoky Slate Combo Pack (For the ribbon)
Accessories:  Metal Plate 3D Embossing Folder, White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding,
Basic Rhinestone Jewels,
Stampin' Dimensionals

After a trip to Iowa City to pick up some prescriptions, I am spending the rest of the day getting some swaps finished up for a demo event I am going to tomorrow.  As I told my friend, Luetta, last night the ideas are in my head. She said at least they are in a safe place . . . but it is time for them to become a reality.

Saying Thanks Kit

When I saw the cool Saying Thanks Card Kit, I knew I needed to get a couple of them.  The bonus is that they are only $13.

The Saying Thanks Card Kit contains everything you’ll need to create 9 cute thank you cards with coordinating preprinted envelopes!  The kits include everything that you’ll need (including adhesives!) except for scissors.

The sentiments are all pre-printed and so are the card bases.  So this cute kit just requires a little time to assemble!

The little hearts on this kit are perfect!  Check out the preprinted envelopes too…no extra work or fussy, just create and mail!

I love the die-cut sentiment and polka dot card front on this card.

This kit is perfect for gift giving, making your own stash of thank you cards, or crafting on the go!!

Today os going to be another stay-at-home and get-caught-up kind of day!!  With the weather and the roads that seems like the perfect thing to do!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Something Fancy

Today I have used the stamp set, Something Fancy, to make this card to share with you.  It is another one of the cards we made last weekend and is also one of this week's Cards in the Mail.

This card has no embellishments on it, but sometimes for a masculine card that is okay!!

Stamps: Something Fancy
Cardstock: Basic Black, Basic Gray, Basic White
Designer Series Ready To Ride
Ink: Memento Black
Accessories:  Something Fancy Dies, Stripes and Splatters 3D Embossing Folders,
Stampin' Dimensionals

After resting most of the day yesterday I am ready to get back at it today.  I have swaps to complete, cardstock to cut, and packets to get ready to mail.  Even if the weather would be great, I am sticking around home today and getting things done.

Covered in Sunshine

Today I am sharing one of the cards that we made at the demonstrator event I attended in Wisconsin last weekend.  It uses the Covered in Sunshine stamp set and the FREE Sale-a-Bration paper, Favored Flowers.  This is one of this week's Cards in the Mail.

While this sentiment works perfectly with the hexagon die, the layout could be used with any shaped sentiment, or you could use any sentiment with the hexagon shape.  I thought the layout of the card was fun and unique.

Stamps: Covered in Sunshine
Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss, Fresh Freesia, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Favored Flowers
Ink: Blackberry Bliss
Accessories:  Beautiful Shapes Dies, Pastel Pearls, Stampin' Dimensionals

Home again . . . the house was still standing, four ninos fed, no meltdowns, and fun was had by all.  But this Gigi is tired.  I think I will rest today and only do something I can do from my recliner.

Dainty Delight

Today I have used the Dainty Delight stamp set along with the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper to make this card to share with you.

For this card, I took a 4" square and cut it diagonally so I can make two cards from one square.  The second square could be placed like this one or you could put it in the lower right-hand corner.

Stamps: Dainty Delight
Cardstock: Fresh Freesia, Basic White (inside)
Designer Series Paper: Favored Flowers
Ink: Fresh Flowers
Accessories:  3/8" Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon,
Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls

I left home bright and early this morning to come to Adel and do Gigi duty today.  Hanna and Jake both have to work today and the kids do not have school so I was happy to help out.  So far I have been here less than an hour and we have exhausted our craft for today!!

Adorable Owls

Today I have again used the Adorable Owls stamp set and the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper to make this card to share with you.  These are both Sale-a-Bration items and my second swap card for this weekend.

This is very similar to the card I posted the other day . . . just the orientation of the card and the colors have changed.  You can see that card here.

I decided to make this a z-fold card to give it a little added interest.  In a perfect world, I would have used Mango Melody Stampin' Blends . . . if we had them.  So next in a perfect world, I would have used a Mango Melody Stampin' Write marker on the hat  . . . if I would have remembered them.  So in a not-so-perfect world, the hat is colored with Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Blends along with a light layer of Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend followed by a layer of Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blend.  Not perfect but it worked.

Stamps: Adorable Owls
Cardstock: Mango Melody, Fresh Freesia, Basic White

Thanks a Bunch

Today I have used the Sale-a-Bration stamp set, Thanks a Bunch, along with the Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper, Dandy Designs to make this card to share with you.  I am not sure how often you would send a carrot card but I think it is cute.

This is actually a funky fold card where only the small Pale Papaya layer opens.  It is perfect for just a small thank you note.

Stamps: Thanks a Bunch (SAB)
Cardstock: Granny Apple Green, Pale Papaya, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Dandy Designs (SAB)
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Pale Papaya, Granny Apple Green, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories:  Linen Thread, Stampin' Dimensionals

As soon as I am done posting this I am out the door to pick up a couple of prescriptions and then head to my friend's house. We are going to Wisconsin for a stamping weekend.  We have been there several times and have our favorite restaurants we like to go to, so I am looking forward to that as well as a fun weekend of visiting and stamping.

Sweet Citrus
Today I have used the stamp set, Sweet Citrus, along with the coordinating dies and hybrid embossing folder, to make this card to share with you.

I am not sure that I would qualify grapefruit as being sweet, but I guess if you put enough sugar on it, it would qualify.  The photopolymer stamp set makes these pieces of fruit very easy to line up.  You just have to be sure that you lay it on the acrylic block correctly.  The first time I tried it my round grapefruit ended up being an oval because I had stretched it when mounting the stamp on the block.  Took me a little while to figure out what I had done wrong!!  LOL

Stamps: Sweet Citrus
Cardstock: Basic White Thick, Pale Papaya, Basic White
Ink: Pale Papaya, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green
Accessories:  Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder,
2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds,
Stampin' Dimensionals

As soon as I am done posting this I am out the door for yet another dental appointment.  At least this one is just my six-month checkup and should be an easy appointment.  Although that is what I thought about the last one and that did not end up being the case.  When I get home I am going to finish up what I need to do for this weekend and then start to pack up my stuff.  I am also hoping to get a head start on getting the next Cards in the Mail packet ready.

Beautifully Happy

Today I have used the Beautifully Happy stamp set to make this card to share with you. This Sale-a-Bration stamp set is one that we received when we went to On Stage in Indianapolis.

I did use the Stamp-a-ratus to make this card . . . however I needed to change the plates four different times. I think the next time I use this stamp set, I might just try to eyeball the inside images and see if that would be any easier.  The Stamp-a-ratus ensured the perfect placement of the inside colors so we shall see which works the best.  After I got the image stamped I thought it need some color to blend in with the darker layer so sponged around the edges.  This is a technique that I forget about sometimes but really does make a difference.

Stamps: Beautifully Happy
Cardstock: Fresh Freesia, Rich Razzleberry, Granny Apple Green, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Dandy Designs
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Fresh Freesia, Granny Apple Green
Accessories:  Double Oval Punch, Stamparatus, Sponge Daubers,
Fresh Freesia 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots,

Hopefully, today is a totally free day so that I can get a lot of things finished up!!  My to-do list seems to be getting longer rather than shorter . . . which means need to get busy!!

Adorable Owls

Today I have used two Sale-a-Bration items, Adorable Owls and Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper, t make this card to share with you.  These owls are definitely growing on me the more I use them.

The bow tie on this owl reminds me of my dad . . . .that and the fact that owls are wise . . . which he was!!  This card does have several layers on it but considering two of them are from a free package of paper it is not so bad.  Otherwise, this is a pretty basic design layout.  Some coloring . . . but not that much unless you are making 45 of them!

Stamps: Adorable Owls (SAB)
Cardstock: Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Dandy Designs
Ink: Memento Black
Stampin' Blends:  Crumb Cake Combo Pack, Daffodil Delight Combo Pack,
Granny Apple Green Combo Pack, Balmy Blue Combo Pack
Accessories:  Stylish Shapes Dies, Layering Circles Dies, Versamark,
Basics Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Glossy Dots Assortment,
Stampin' Dimensionals

It was a tight squeeze but we survived Make-It-Monday in my kitchen last night.  I would not want to do it all the time there, but it worked since the room in Kalona was not available.  Today I need to finish up the leftover packets and get tables and supplies put away.  Since I just looked at my calendar and realized that I have 6 swaps that I am participating in between now and the first of March I had best get them done sooner rather than later!!!

Love Cats

Today I have used the stamp set, Love Cats, along with the designer series paper, Country Floral Lane, to make this card to share with you.

This is a layout I come back to time after time.  In fact, I think the first card I ever made over 20 years ago was made with this layout!!  Some things are timeless!!  I did use the Stamparatus to stamp the cat so that I could stamp him multiple times and get a good dark image!!

Stamps:  Love Cats, Framed Florets
Cardstock:  Balmy Blue, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Country Floral Lane
Ink:  Memento Black
Accessories:  Layering Circles Dies, Stitched Rectangle Dies,
Into the Clouds Embossing Folder, Stamparatus,
Real Red Stampin' Blend Combo Pack, Iridescent Pearl Jewels,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday ended up being a very productive day!!  I got everything ready for stamp night tonight, got my swaps planned for this weekend, watched some football on TV, and watched the Hawkeye Basketball team win a super fun game.  Today I need to get everything set out in the kitchen for stamp night and hopefully complete my swaps!!
