Bloom by Bloom

How can you not like this card???  It has all of my favorite colors in it!!  My friend, Dawn, posted a card using this color palette and stamp set a while back to I had to case it!! (Sorry to my Cyclone firends!!) But you could totally change the black to red and then you would have a Cyclone appropriate card!!!

This is one of the cards that everyone will be making on Monday night at Make-It-Monday.  Clean, simple, and yet striking!!

Stamps: Bloom By Bloom
Cardstock: Basic Black, Crushed Curry
Ink: Memento Black, Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Crushed Curry
Accessories: 1 3/4" Circle Punch, 2" Circle Punch,
Black 1/2" Satin Ribbon, Faceted Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday I finished up planning a Valentine's Class, made two special birthday cards for my brother and nephew, and a baby card for another nephew and his wife who had an adorable baby girl.  Look for those in the coming days.

This is my view today . . . a great day to stay in and stamp and watch the Hawkeyes play basketball!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Forever Lovely

Valentine's Day will be here before you know it and this card would be a perfect one to send to anyone!!  Valentine's Day must be pretty popular world round because I found this card on an Australian blog by a stamper named Kylie.

This is one of the cards everyone will be making on Monday night. I figure it could be for Valentine's Day or to just wish someone a good day!!

Stamps: Forever Lovely
Cardstock: LovelyLipstick Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: All My Love
Ink: Lovely Lipstick, Memento Black
Accessories: All My Love Ribbon Combo Pack, Glue Dots

I worked on a lot of Valentine's Day cards yesterday.  I'll showing them to you in the days to come.  Today I have an early morning hair appointment and then I want to stop and get milk and bread just in case we do end up getting a fair amount of snow.  After that I plan to hunker down in my stamping room by the heater and craft the day away!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Hello Cupcake

I am really liking this color combination . . . Granny Apple Green and Blueberry Bushel!!    I posted another card using this color combination last week. You can see that card here.  I think this is one of the cards that everyone will be making on Monday night at Make-It-Monday.

I always say there are no mistakes in stamping . . . only chances to embellish.  Now you know why this card has so many enamel dots on it . . . I did not want to start over so I just embellished!!

Stamps: Hello Cupcake
Cardstock: Blueberry Bushel, Granny Apple Green, Whisper White
Ink: Blueberry Bushel, Granny Apple Green
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Layering Ovals Framelits,
Dot to Dot Embossing Folder, Big Shot,
Versamark,  White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool,
Glitter Enamel Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Phew!!!  I am done!  Everything is done and put away from my stamping flurry in November and December.  I even had time yesterday to stamp again with some new stuff!  My goal today is to figure out exactly what we are doing on Monday night for Make-It-Monday!  Wish me luck!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Lovely Lattice

Lovely Lattice is another one of the stamps sets you can get for FREE during Sale-a-Bration!!  I wanted to try and make a card that didn't need coloring in and I found one similar to this on Pinterest.

The white watercolor pencil coloring shows up much brighter in real person than it did in the photo.  I also struggled with where to put the greeting on this card and then decided to just leave it without a sentiment at all.

Stamps: Lovely Lattice
Cardstock: Crumb Cake
Accessories: Lace Dynamic Embossing Folder, Big Shot,
Versamark, Black Embossing Folder, Heat Tool,
Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker,
Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon
Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday was a very productive day!!  I started relatively early in the morning and headed to Iowa City to go to the nail salon and also get some groceries.  The rest of the day was spent in my craft room still finishing up card kits from before Christmas and getting my baskets emptied out.  Every year in January I vow I will try harder next year in November and December to keep u with putting stuff away but it never seems to happen!!!

Who knows what is on the agenda today!!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Hello Cupcake

Back again with another Hello Cupcake card.  I decided since I had so many days free that I would take one set and work with it all day making as many cards as I could.  I started with the Hello Cupcake set.

I found this card on Pinterest and traced it back to a blog called Stamp With Bonnie.  Where did I get the black and white check designer series paper you might ask?  It is actually the other side of the FREE Sale-a-Bration butterfly paper.  I like the butterfly paper but I love all of the black and white designs that are on the backside.

Stamps: Hello Cupcake
Cardstock: basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Botanical Butterfly
Ink: Memento Black, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green
Accessories:  Stitched Shape Framelits, Layering Ovals Framelits,
Big Shot, Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack,
Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

Wow . . . Yesterday I took the day to get all of my framelits and my re-inkers organized.  I am going to save so much time by having them organized so I don't have to search through tons of little bottles or framelits to find the ones I want to use.

Today I am going to run to Iowa City to get some groceries and run a couple of other errands and then plan to spend the rest of the day working with another stamp set.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Hello Cupcake

I am really loving this cupcake Sale-a-Bration set.  It looks good no mater what colors you use and it is so easy to line up since it is photopolymer.

I saw this card on a blog I follow . . . Stampercamper.  The thing I really love about it is all of the free product that is used . . . the stamp set and the ribbon!!  The only thing that would make it better would be framelits to cut it out . . . but I guess I can use my scissors.

Stamps: Hello Cupcake
Cardstock: Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Ink: Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Accessories:  Stitched Shapes Framelits,
Dot to Dot Embossing Folder, Big Shot,
Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday was a very relaxing day.  Today is the first of four days where I have absolutely nothing I have to do or anywhere I have to go.   I hope to spend the majority of it in my craft room . . . stamping a lot and organizing a little!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Bloom by Bloom

Bloom by Bloom is slowly growing on me.  When we first used it at OnStage back in November, I didn't think much of it.  But as so often happens once I started working with a stamp set, it grows on me.

This is one of the cards I saw on Pinterest and knew I wanted to make it.  I love this layout and have not used it for quite a while.

Stamps: Bloom by Bloom, Piece of Cake
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Happiness Blooms
Ink: Call Me Clover, Night of Navy, Lovely Lipstick
Accessories:  Dot to Dot Embossing Folder, Big Shot,
Night of Navy Baker's Twine,
Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots, Glue Dots,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Wow . . . I spent most of the day in my stamping room yesterday making lots of samples.  Great fun.  I did finish up the day by watching the wild card football games late yesterday afternoon and evening.

I hope to get a lot done again today . . . although I do need to go to Iowa City to run some errands sometime in there.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Lovely Lattice

FREE!!  FREE!!  FREE!!  That is exactly what this stamp set, Lovely Lattice is!!! Free with a qualifying order!!  And what could be better than that!!

I used the technique watercolor pencils and AquaPainters on a dark colored cardstock.  I love the way the color pops on the dark cardstock.

Stamps: Lovely Lattice (Sale-a-Bration), Humming Along
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Granny Apple Green
Accessories:   Versamark, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool,
Watercolor Pencils, AquaPainter, Basic Pearl Jewels,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Yesterday was a great day spent in my stamp room and today will be a repeat!!!  I am enjoying stamping with all new sets and supplies.  I may watch a little football later this afternoon but I hope to get several samples made today!!

Incredible Like You

The second technique we worked with last night at Technique/Stamp Club is what I called generational stamping. . . stamping over and over without reinking your stamp.

I tried it with the lighter at the top as well as this way and decided I liked the lighter stamps at the bottom.

Stamps: Incredible Like You
Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss, Highland Heather, Whisper White
Ink: Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss
Accessories:  Stamparatus, Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Velvet Ribbon, Tear & Tape

I can hardly believe it but I don't have anything at all on my schedule for about a week.  Now . . . that does not mean that things won't come up . . . but it is nice not to be jam packed with things to do!

I hope to be able to make lots of samples before the next make-It-Monday!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today.

Happy Stamping!!

Beauty Abounds

Today is the day!!!!  Everything in the 2019 Occasions and Sale-a-Bration Catalogs is now available!!   Woohoo!!!  Let the shopping begin!!

Today is also the first Thursday of the month so that means that it is  Technique/Stamp Club night.  One of the techniques we are working with tonight is the colored shimmer paint technique.

You can't tell in the photo but the Calypso Coral/White Frost Shimmer Paint oval really has a sparkly shine to it.  Very pretty in person!!!

Stamps: Beauty Abounds
Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Memento Black
Accessories: Layering Ovals Framelits, Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Dies,
Precision Plate, Big Shot, White Frost Shimmer Paint,
Calypso Coral Re-inker, Sponge Daubers,
Stampin' Dimensionals

I can't believe how much cleaning and organizing I got done in my stamp room yesterday.  Noon came and I was going strong so kept on till about 1:00 and then switched to stamping.  I got both techniques figured out for tonight as well as making some other cards.

I hope to get a little more organizing done before I head out for an appointment for my shoulder and then to Iowa City for Technique Club.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Hello Cupcake

What is better than new stamp sets . . . FREE new stamp sets, of course!!!  Hello Cupcake is just one of the awesome Sale-a-Bration  items Stampin' Up has this year!!!  And what's even better . . . you can get them starting tomorrow!!

What a super fun color combination . . . Blueberry Bushel and Granny Apple Green!!!  Everybody needs fruits in their day . . . why not in stamping as well!!

Stamps: Hello Cupcake (NEW--Sale-a-Bration)
Cardstock: Blueberry Bushel, Granny Apple Green, Whisper White
Ink: Blueberry Bushel, Granny Apple Green,
Accessories:  Dot to Dot Embossing Folder (NEW), Big Shot, Tailored Tag Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

Wow . . . what a Hawkeye game yesterday . . . I am surprised that you did not hear me yelling from where ever you might be.  I do love my college football and especially the Hawks.

Now that the majority of the college bowl games are over and the rush of holiday stamping is done . . . I can turn my full attention to my craft room and stamping.  I made a deal with myself . . . I would clean and organize until noon and then I would stamp this afternoon.  Sounds like a plan . . . let's see if it works!!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Happy New Year!!!

Thank goodness for friends that send me cards!!!  Between the mess of my stamping room and my passion for college football, I have not been doing much actual stamping!!  I have been cleaning it out and reorganizing so the Occasions catalog stuff is easily accessible.

This card came from m y stamping friend, Dawn.

Today is the day . . . the Outback Bowl.  Hopefully you will hear me cheering on my Hawkeyes from wherever you are!  You will hear me cheering . . . I just hope you hear me celebrating a victory!!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

The Year in Review

I thought I would try something that I've not done before . . . share a favorite card from each month!!  As I was looking back through the months I realized just how much I have stamped and how much I do love stamping!!

January

There are several family members that have January birthdays and this was their birthday card.  You can read about it here.

February

There were some pretty awesome new sets in the Occasions catalog this last year,.  Southern Serenade was one of them . . . you can read about it here.

March

I love my technique club because it pushes me to try new things.  That was the case with this technique and one that I used with a similar Christmas set in December.  You can check out that technique here.

April

April brought some sad news for our family as a niece lost her battle with cancer.  She grew up on a daffodil farm and this card reminded me so much of her.  You can read about it here.

May

May brought a sneak peek into the new catalog with a sample of new designer series paper and a matching stamp set . . . Love What You Do.  You can read about it here.

June

June brought my turbo wedding invitation making  . . . 600+ invitaions for two girls.  You can read about it here.

July

July was wedding month and I couldn't choose just one card so I chose two.  You can read about them here and here.

August

One of my favorite cards I made it August was this baby card.  You can read about it here.

September

September brought Holiday catalog and one of my favorite sets that I am very glad is carrying over for a while.  You can read about this card here.

October

October brought the start of my Christmas card making and a cute snowman stamp set.  You can read about it here.

November

November  brought a trip to Orlando to the Stampin' Up On Stage and of course swaps.  you can read about this card here.

December

December brought many more Christmas cards but i think I can safely say this is one of my favorites.  You can read about it here.

I hope you enjoyed this year in review!!  I JUST know there are many more happy stamping days coming up in 2019 and I can't wait for you to join me!!

Making Christmas Bright

Friends make all seasons shine . . . not just the Christmas season.  I am lucky to count among my friends, Sally, who lives in Ohio, and sent me this card.

I am glad that a couple of the products she used on this card are carrying over . . . the stamp set and the Corrugated Embossing folder.

Stamps: Making Christmas Bright

Ink: Real Red, Garden Green
Accessories:  Stitched Shapes Framelits,
Corrugated Embossing Folder, Big Shot,

Bloom by Bloom

Wow . . . it is hard to believe that this is my next to last post for 2018!!  What a year it has been!!!  After weddings, of course, my favorite thing has been the Stampin' Up! events that I have attended . . . and there have been many!!

This is one of the cards that we made at On Stage in November.  Made with Happiness Blooms Memories and More Cards & Envelopes it was easy peasy to make.  It is a little different size than a regular card but since envelopes come in the pack . . . no problem!!

Stamps: Bloom by Bloom
Cardstock: Whisper White
Ink: Lovely Lipstick, Night of Navy, Call Me Clover
Accessories: Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Pack,
Happiness Blooms Memories & More Cards & Envelopes,
Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots,
Calypso Coral 3/8" Satin Ribbon,
Stampin' Dimensionals

Wow . . . yesterday I watched the college football bowl games and finished up all of my Stampin' Up! book work for the year.  I try to do it month by month, but this year I had not done any of it after September 1st, so there was a lot to catch up on!!  But it is done.  Today I want to try and get all of the extra packets from 2018 stamped up and the supplies put away so I can start 2019 with a clean stamp room!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!
