Endless Love

Back again with another quick Valentine card.  This one has very little stamping on it.  Only an XO.

This card starts with a Flirty Flamingo card base and is built using different designer series papers, a lace doily, and a couple of hearts.  The sentiment is stamped in Real Red Ink.  A super simple card if you need to make a LOT of Valentines.

I thought I posted this yesterday but ust have forgotten when I got home from my nail appointment.  Once again, I was so cold I sat down in my recliner with my heating pad and fell asleep.  I am hoping I can stay awake today because I have to get my swaps done for this weekend.  They are close but there is still some to do.  Stay tuned and I will share it on Saturday.

Nature's Symphony

Today's card is one we should have made yesterday at Make-It-Monday, but since we cancelled it we will make it next time.  It uses one of the stamp sets from the mini catalog.

I started with a Pretty Peacock card base and added a piece of Basic White cardstock that has been embossed with Stone & Vine 3D Embossing Folder.  I die cut the leaves out of Pretty Peacock and added them to the card front.  The sentiment was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink on a circle die cut with the Spotlight on Nature Dies and added to the card from with dimensionals.  I added some Iridescent Foil Gems for a little added interest.  I love the way it came out.

I made a quick trip to Washington this morning to get a cool mist vaporizer and a pulse oximeter for John.  Hopefully the vaporizer will make it easier for him to breath.  I am anxious for his appointment next Tuesday and hope they can come up with something else to help him breath.

Fabulous Sayings

Today's card is made with the product of the month, the stamp set Fabulous Sayings.  You have 5 more days to earn this fabulous stamp set for only $5.

I started with a base of Secret Sea and then added a layer of white.  I cut 5 strips from the Lovely Blossom Designer Series Paper and adhered them to the card front.  Using Secret Sea ink I stamped the sentiment.  I used the Secret Sea Bordered Ribbon and the Moody Palette Glossy Dots for embellishments and my card was done.

I started the day with a hair appointment and was planning on a stamp afternoon.  I received three texts from people that could not come this afternoon which only left two.  I decided it was too cold to be out and about for stamping so cancelled this afternoon's class.  Since I have been dragging and am tired I think I will take a nap instead!!

Fabulous Sayings

Today I am sharing one of the cards everyone will be making this week that stamps with me.  This is from a website I look at called Embellish.

She started with a card base of Thick Basic White and added a layer of Coastal Cabana.  Happy Birthday was stamped continually over a piece of Basic White without reinking in between.  Clean the stamp and stamp it again using Melon Mambo ink and fussy cut around the words.  Stamp a couple of hearts and the word "Fabulous Friend" and adhere it all to the card front.  Add am embellishment and you card is done.

Wow!!!  It is 8° already. It is nice not to see the negative sign at least for a while.  I think we are scheduled to go back into the deep freeze this week sometime.  Be sure to have everything you will need so you do not need to go out in the bitter cold!!  It looks like it should "warm" up a bit after tonight!!

Banner Sayings

Today's card uses the Banner Sayings stamp set and the coordinating punch.  The punch makes it so much easier.  I love stamp sets that have coordinating punches,

I started with a Fresh Freesia card base and added a layer of Basic White that had been embossed with the All In A Row Embossing Folder.  I layered a couople of pieces of Fresh Freesia cardstock and the Lovely and Beautiful Designer Series Paper.  I finished off the card with some RainbowAdhesive Dots.

Once again I am staying home and trying to keep warm.  I am looking forward to warmer temperatures tomorrow and the rest of the week.  It will seem like a heat wave.  At least I have several things to keep me busy . . . stamping, stitching, reading, and watching basketball!  What do you do when it is this cold?

Beautiful Butterfly Kit

Stampin' Up has three new kits this month.  I shared one of them a couple of weeks ago and am sharing another one today. . . . .

This kit makes nine beautiful cards.

It includes everything you need . . . a stamp set, an ink spot and even a clear block!

If you are a butterfly lover, you will love this stamp set.

This card is the easiest to make . . . just stamp the sentiment and add some dimensionals to the sentiment and the butterfly, adhere them to the card front, and you are done.

One thing I really liked about this kit are the butterfly images in the set and the fact that the instructions have you decorating the envelope a well.

My favorite card has two beautiful yellow flowers and two equally beautiful butterflies which are adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals and also a butterfly stamped onto the back of the envelope.

The last design is equally as beautiful.  They give you the orange butterfly cutouts and all you have to do is stamp the detailed butterflies using the Mosty Moonlight Stampin' Spot.  The sentiment is also stamped with the Misty Moonlight.  Check out the result with all of these beautiful butterflies.  Once again I stamped some butterflies on the envelopes.

Here is the whole collection of butteflies that you too can make with the stampin' kit.

What are you doing on this super cold day? I slept in and have been just relaxing and intend to spend the rest of the day doing the same thing!!

Lovely Arrangements

Today's card is one I found on a blog I follow, Stamp With Tracy.  I love the color combination.

This card uses one of my favorite color combinations, purple and green, and a piece of the Lovely & Beautiful Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The piece of Fresh Freesia has been embossed with the All in a Row embossing folder and the sentiment piece has been die cut with one of the dies from the Lovely Arrangements die set.  I also added a couple of dots from the Moody Glassy Dots Assortment.  I love the way this card turned out.

There was no blog post yesterday as i had to take John to an impromptu doctor's appointment.  He was wheezing and coughing so much I was afraaid he had pneumonia.  We have ruled out several things but we still don't know what is causing it.  He is trying an inhaler for a couple of weeks and then we have to go back.  Always something!!!

Endless Love

Today's card is one that came directly from the Stampin' Up! website.  This is a great Valentine set.  Evidently a lot of other people think so as well because it is not available right now.  There is no projected date for when it will be in stock again which is a bummer.

One of my stampers does not like tone on tone cards so I think this one would look great with either a layer of black or red between the two white ones.  What do you think?  The Happy and Day have been embossed with Basic White embossing powder on Real Red cardstock.  It really makes it show up!

Once again it is a cold and blustery day and a good day to stay home and snuggle with my blanket.

Valentine's Day

Today's card is a super simple Valentine's Day card.  If you would need a lot of cards this year, this is it!

I started with a Real Red card base and used a layer of Made With Love Designer Series paper.  I stamped the sentiment on a piece of Basic White cardstock and die cut it with the Beautifully Celebrated Dies.  The little hearts were die cut with the Endless Love Dies.  So you could make a lot of cards in a very short period of time.

Today is going to be a stay at home day.  After my experience driving home yesterday morning in the blowing snow I am content to be warm and safe at home.  I think we are supposed to get a little bit more snow again today.  As long as it comes in little bits I am okay with the snow.

Lovely Arrangements

Today's card is made with a January On Line Exclusive stamp set . . . Lovely Arrangements.  The dies and designer series paper are also On Line Exclusives.

I don't often use Fresh Freesia cardstock but it was the perfect match for this designer series paper.  A super simple card with justs basic layering.  You might think that the vellum underneath the sentiment is two pieces of cardstock . . . but no . . . it is just one die cut with one of the dies in the die set.  Just think of the possibilities for this card by only changing out the sentiments or maybe even the oclors and designer series paper.  be sure and show me what you come up with.

I know it is super cold outside but I think I am going to make a run to Iowa City to pick up an On line order and target and stop somewhere and get some thread.  My little sewing machine came yesterday and I want to try it out but I need thread to do that.  When I get home the rest of the afternoon and evening will be spent watching the football playoffs.

Creative Haven

I have been wanting to share this card on Make-It-Monday since this stamp set went live in November.  I got busy with fall and winter cards and kind of forgot about it.  I decided this week was the week to share it before they decided to rtire anything more.

I started with a Crushed Curry card base and added another layer that had been embossed with the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder.  I stamped and embossed the image from the Creative Haven stamp set with Gold Embossing powder.  I die cut it with the coordinating die and adhered it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I added a few Muted Pallete Dots and my card was done.

Today is going to be another recliner day . . . not sure if I am going to put cards together, cross stitch, or read, or all three.  Whatever I do I am going to enjoy the sunshine coming in through the living room window.

Lots to Love

Today I am sharing the Lots to Love kit.

With bold colors and peak through florals this kit creates beautiful cards that are great for showing love and appreciation.

The projects are simple to complete and make a big impression.  This kit includes supplies to make nine cards, three of each design and includes printed sentiments.

There is definitely a lot to love about this kit.

Endless Love

I am on a Valentine roll with cards, I hope.  This is one of the cards everyone made on Monday.

=

Not all valentines need to be red and white.  I think this one made with Fresh Freesia is perfect!!  It is hard to see but there is a second layer of Fresh Freesia that has been embossed with the Hearts of Love 3D Embossing Folder.  It just gives the card a little added texture and interest.  Each of the cards that you make like this with this designer series paper, Lovely and Beautiful, will look a little different depending on where you place your heart to die cut it.  You can get 9 hearts out of one piece of designer series paper.  Everyone's turned out a little different on Monday!!!  What do you think?

Yesterday turned out to be an interesting day.  I was scheduled for a mid-morning dental appointment, which meant I needed to be there by 9:30.  When I got to the University to check in, I found someone had cancelled my appointment the week before.  No one seems to know how that happened.  I waited around for about 45 minutes to see if they could work me in and unfortunately they were not able to do that, so I turned around and came home.  By the time I got home I was out of the mood to finish up Monday night's cards so watched a movie on my laptop and stitched.

Greenery Lane

Today's card is the first of the Valentine card I have made.  I know it seems weird that I am using a stamp set called Greenery Lane but it had a perfect sentiment in it for my card.  Everybody stamping with me this week will get to make this card.

It is very hard to see in the photo but the red pieces on the front of the card have been embossed with the Hearts of Love 3D Embossing Folder.  The red embellishments are actually from a Christmas collection but I thought they worked perfectly for a Valentine card.  I chose the multi colored hearts as my designer series paper choice but there are several others you could use as well.  I took the easy way out and used punches for my circles!!

This morning has been spent finishng getting ready for stamp day today.  For a change everything is set out and ready to go before anyone gets here!!  One of my goals for the new year.  At least I have started the year right!!

Fabulous Sayings

Versatility is key! With the Fabulous Sayings Stamp Set, you’ll always have the right words on hand—whether you’re creating birthday cards, thank-you notes, or a cheerful hello.  This is the Product of the Month for January.

This card is form the Stampin' Up! website.  In order to get a colorful card they have stamped the sentiment multiple times on different color cardstock animent and then embossed with Basic White Embossing powder.  I am assuming they have fussy cut the sentiments and just adhered them to the card.

Wouldn't this make a fabulous birthday card.  Here are the sentiments that are in this set.  If you have any questions about the "Product of the Month" don't hesitate to ask.

The sun sure does look wonderful shining in the window.  I am going to enjoy it while it lasts.  Shopping, cross stitching, and watching football are on the agenda for the rest of the day.
