I must have needed the sleep.  Today's agenda includes some stamping and attending the first of a few graduation parties this afternoon.

April Paper Pumpkin

I had some time yesterday afternoon so decided to stamp up this month's Paper Pumpkin cards and I am certainly glad that I did.

The cards have shimmery accents printed on the layers that are so pretty!

The April Paper Pumpkin Kit contained everything needed to create the cards including the exclusive All The Little Things photopolymer stamp set, a Shaded Spruce ink spot, and adhesives!

The fancy sentiment layering on this card is pretty cool and I love the message it conveys.

The flowers on this card are so pretty!!

The shimmery flowers and the embellishments are so pretty.

This pretty kit was called All The Little Things and it created 9 cards with coordinating envelopes!  What a deal!!

As soon as I am done posting this I am going to get ready to go spend the day stamping with friends.  It has been a while since we have spent the day stamping so am looking forward to seeing everyone and catching up!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Nature's Prints

Today I have used the Nature's Prints stamp set and dies along with the coordinating designer series paper, Sun Prints to make this card to share with you.  The Nature's Prints stamps and dies will be in the new catalog but the designer series paper will be retiring on Monday.

I started out by cutting the designer series paper and then cutting it into three pieces so that they would like one big piece of paper, but then when I was carrying them all into the living room to stuff them into envelopes for Monday night I promptly dropped them all over.  rather than sort them all out again I decided to just use three random pieces and I think I really kind of like it that way.

Cardstock: Night of Navy, Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Sun Prints (Retiring)
Ink: Night of Navy

Oh, Happy Day!!  After seven dental visits over the course of six months, I can finally say that my crown is done and that side of my mouth feels normal again!!!  I didn't get home till mid-afternoon so I spent the rest of the day getting caught up on my card sending and some bookwork.  I hope to finish the book work today and spend a little time in my stamping room this afternoon.

Petal Park

Today I have used my favorite color combination, purple and green, as well as the stamp set and punch, Petal Park, to make this card to share with you.  This is one of the cards that everyone made on Monday night.

I stamped the flowers using full-strength Gorgeous Grape and then just stamped a second set so they would be a little bit lighter.  I love the way they turned out.  This is the first time I have used this stamp set without using the outlines of the flowers.  I think I like them better this way!

Stamps: Petal Park, Sentimental Park
Cardstock: Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Basic White
Ink: Gorgeous Grape, Garden Green
Accessories:  Petal Park Builder punch, Pastel Pearls (SOLD OUT),

Today brings yet another dental appointment to try and get my crown finally delivered.  This has been an extremely lengthy process for a simple crown.  I hope today I can finally say it is done.  I intend to be home in enough time to be able to stamp some this afternoon . . . or at least listen to the ballgame.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Today I am using the retiring stamp set, Best Day, to make this card to share with you.  I am sure sad to see this stamp set retire at the end of the month.

The Layering Circles Dies are another product I will be sad to see leave, although they have been around for a very long time!!  I do love being able to put a scalloped circle behind the main sentiment piece. But I am sure they will come out with something new that I will love equally as well.

We had a great day yesterday, the two littles and I.  We went to a Dollar and a Quarter Store, Hy-Vee, had lunch and played in the Play Place at Burger King, and picked up some more baby chicks at a Tractor Supply store.  When Hanna and the bigs got home from school we headed off to the Imax Theater in Waukee for a movie and supper.  A new experience for me to be sure!!  And the food was excellent!!

It has been a long time since I have seen a movie in a movie theater . . . boy have they changed!!

Playing in the Rain

Today I am sharing a fun fold card that my friend, Luetta, did at one of her stamp events.  It uses the stamp set, Playing in the Rain and the coordinating dies set, Playing in the Rain.

This turtle guy is so cute . . . I am so glad that this set is carrying over to the new catalog!!

As you can see, this is a fun fold card with the middle opening up like an accordion.  The bottom two layers, the Mint Macaron and the So Saffron are just flat layers that do not open.  Fun card for spring.

Taco Fiesta

Today I am sharing a card made with the Taco Fiesta stamp set.  I think this is one of the cards that we made on the cruise back in February.

There is quite a bit of coloring on this card but I do think it turned out really cute!!!  This stamp set was not even on my radar until I made a few cards with it at various events.  It is one of the January-June 2023 Mini Catalog stamp sets that is carrying over to the Annual 2023-2024 Idea Book and Catalog.

As you can see this is a fun fold card, opening at both the top and the bottom.  I love the face and mustache on the taco man!!

Good Feelings

Bermuda Bay has always been one of my favorite colors so I had to use it one last time before it totally retires at the end of the month.  Most Bermuda Bay supplies have already sold out, so many other people must like it as well.

This is another go-to layout that I have used for almost 20 years.  In fact, I think the first card I ever made on my own used this layout. It is timeless.  Do you have a favorite go-to layout that you like to use?

Cottage Rose

Today I am using the retiring and now sold-out stamp set, Cottage Rose to make this card to share with you.

Once again this is a layout I use frequently but it looks totally different depending on the size and shape of the four accent pieces as well as the design and color of the card.  A perfect layout to add to your idea book to use when you are struggling with an idea.

After an early morning appointment yesterday I came home and got started right away sorting in my stamp room and totally forgot about making a post, so today I thought I would do it before I got started in my room.  I am just about done pulling retired stuff from the shelves and let me tell you I have QUITE a pile for my garage sale!!  Since I am getting this done earlier this year the garage sale will be earlier as well . . . .in June sometime.  I am hoping it will not be as HOT then!!

Charming Sentiments

Today I have used the stamp set, Charming Sentiments, along with the coordinating die set, Sentiment Silhouettes, to make this card to share with you.

There is a lot of designer series paper on this card but I love the way they all work together.  And Mango Melody is a color I wished I had used more of when it was a current color . . .  but alas . . . it will be going away at the end of the month.  You had best get some while you can!!

I am making great progress in getting my stamp room changed over from the 2022-2023  catalog to the 2023-2024 catalog.  Yesterday I got all of the ink pads, markers, and Stampin' Blends labeled and organized on my shelves.  Today I am hoping to tackle the cardstock and designer series papers and maybe start on the stamps and dies.  We shall see how far I get!!

Fragrant Flowers

Today I am using some retiring products . . . Fragrant Flowers stamp set, Fun Flower Resin Shapes, and Butterfly Kisses Designer Series Paper . . . to make this card to share with you.

This is a layout that you probably recognize because I use it quite often.  It is perfect when you have small pieces of DSP and want to use them up.  I have also used the On-Line Exclusive product, 3D Basics Embossing Folders.  The Polka Dot pattern in a pretty cool one!!!

Today I am using a soon-to-retire stamp set, Limited Edition, to make this card to share with you.  Unfortunately, this stamp set is now sold out.

This is a fun combination of pastel colors that really makes me think of spring!  And the sentiment goes along with my thinking that "A handmade card is just a hug with a fold in the middle!"

Something Fancy

Today I am sharing with you one of the projects we made while on the stamping cruise in February with Tina.

This was a set of cards all made . . . would you believe it . . . using the designer series paper in the masculine suite . . . Ready to Ride!

One of the patterns was this beautiful black glossy embossed rose pattern that works perfectly for these all occasion cards.

The Quatrefoil Embossing Folder added enough texture without overpowering the rest of the cards.

And . . . here are all four of the cards together.  These would make a great gift for those hard to buy for Mothers on Mother's Day.

Something Fancy

Today I have used the sentiment Something Fancy along with the coordinating Something Fancy dies to make this sympathy card to share with you.

Do you have scraps of designer series paper laying around on your stamp table?  This would be a great layout to use up some of them.  It would work for any occasion or with any sentiment.  I am sure you have some embellishments laying around that would work as well.

Well everyone survived the overnight and the house is still standing.  We even walked to the local ice cream shop after supper last night.  I don't know how everyone slept through the loud thunder, but they seemed to.  Hanna and Jake will be home soon . . . .we will see what the rest of the day brings.

Today I have again used the Two Tone Floral Dies and the Something Fancy stamp set to make this card to share with you.

If you think this card looks familiar or like the one I shared yesterday you would be right.  This is the reverse image of the piece I brushed with color yesterday.  A twofer!  Super simple way to get two cards very easily!

Here are the two cards side by side . . . very similar but yet quite different.  Which one is your favorite?

Today I am headed to Adel to stay with the kids tonight while Jake and Hanna are gone overnight.  I think we are planning on walking to the ice cream shop after dinner and having a slumber party on the toy room floor.  I am sure this Gigi will sleep well tonight!  I just hope I hear them if they need anything in the night.  LOL

Something Fancy

Today I have used the Something Fancy stamp set along with a couple of die sets, Something Fancy Dies and Two Tone Floral Dies to make this card to share with you.

My Small Blending Brushes certainly got a workout at Make-It-Monday this week.  This card is so easy to make . . . you simply brush color where ever you want it on the Two Tone Floral Die.  I did use a small dab of adhesive to keep it in place while I was brushing . . . it made it easier since it had a tendency to slide around while I was brushing.  Add a sentiment and you are good to go!!

Stamps: Something Fancy
Cardstock: Basic White Thick, Basic White
Ink: Old Olive, Polished Pink (retiring), Mango Melody (retiring), Fresh Freesia

Naturally Gilded Designer Series Paper

Today I am using the Online Exclusive Product, Naturally Gilded Designer Series Paper, to make this card to share with you.

This card was so fun to make and was so easy when broken down into small steps.  I started by making my own mask using the Brilliant Wings Dies.  I laid this over the Naturally Gilded Designer Series Paper, positioning the butterflies where I wanted them.  I used the Small Blending Brushes to start by brushing some Early Espresso down the center of each butterfly and around the edges of some of the wings.  I then took some Daffodil Delight ink and added it to other spots on the butterflies.  I finished brushing the butterflies by using  Soft Suede ink.  I  thought there was a pretty stark contrast between the designer series paper and the black cardstock so I took the larger Blending Brush and brushed some Basic Gray on the edges of the paper.  Lastly, I took a slightly damp paper towel and rubbed it all over the Designer Series Paper to remove any ink that was laying on the embossed images.  It really made the gold flowers pop!!

Cardstock: Soft Suede (Retiring), Basic Black, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper: Naturally Gulded, Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper (Retiring)
Ink: Early Espresso, Soft Suede (Retiring), Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight
Accessories:  Brilliant Wings (Retiring),
