Guy Greetings

Isn't this an awesome guy card using the new Bohemain DSP?

I am not sure who to give credit to as I just snapped a quick picture of it as my friend, Luetta, was showing me what all they had made at our demonstrator friend, Susie's, house yesterday.  I do know it is going to be one of the cards everybody makes at Make-It-Monday tomorrow night!!

Stamps:  Guy Greetings
Cardstock:  Island Indigo, Blackberry Bliss, Delightful Dijon, Whisper White, Bohemian DSP
Ink:  Memento Black Ink
Accessories:  Banner Punch

Yesterday was cold, rainy and windy, but was still a great day at the Spring Flea and Fair at the Barn.  I was amazed at the number of people that braved the weather and shopped and looked like they were having a great time.  I was tired by the time I got home, but am so glad I went.

Today I will be cutting card stock and getting everything ready for tomorrow night's Make-It-Monday.  We have a large group of ladies coming.  It should be fun!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Petal Potpourri

Yesterday I was able to complete several of these cool little decorated stamp cases and coordinating cards.  I follow the blog, Inking Idaho, and she had these on her blog a while back.  I have just been waiting to have time to try and make them.  I also follow the blog, Flowerbug's Inkspot, and the inspiration for this card came from her.

I bought drawer pulls from Menard's in the clearance aisle and had the wood mount stamp cases already at home.

Each case has a set of four cards.  I think they turned out pretty cool.  I actually managed to make 5 different cases and cards sets.  I hope other people think they are as cool as I do!!

Stamps:  Petal Potpourri, Painted Petals, Petite Petals
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Basic Black, Pacific Point,
Stacked With Love DSP Stack, Back to Black DSP for the case
Ink: Memento Black, Pacific Point
Accessories:  Medallion Flower Punch, Petite Petals Punch,
Basic Rhinestone Jewels, Stampin' Dimensionals

I think I am ready for the big craft show today and tomorrow.  I am looking forward to seeing and visiting with people that I haven't seen for a while.  Even with the rain that is forecast, I think it will be an awesome show.

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today!!

Yesterday morning I went back to school for the last day of school assembly. One of the gals that was there when I started all those years ago was retiring and they were honoring her and I wanted to be there.  I debated about going, but once I got there I was so glad I went.  It was great seeing the kids and so many of the parents that were a part of my life for a lot of years!!

Today I will be getting my swap ready for a meeting on Saturday.  I won't be able to attend, because I am doing a big craft show this weekend, but am sending my swap along with a friend.  Then I will be working on another project for the craft show . . . pictures to come tomorrow!!

Build a Birthday

Here is another card that comes straight from the Stampin' Up! website.  This stamp set was not on my original pre-order wish list but as I saw many cards designed with it, it soon was on its way to my house.

I love the fact that with the photopolymer stamp sets, you can see exactly where you are stamping!!

Yesterday did not go exactly as I had planned.  On my way to the city to volunteer I noticed that I had a very low tire, so after volunteering I decided to just have the oil changed in my car as well as the tire fixed.  After getting groceries and several other errands, it was late afternoon by the time I got home, so no time in my stamping room.  It has been several days since I have actually stamped anything so today is the day.  Tonight I have a group of ladies that I stamp with once a month where we share cards, so at the very least I need to decide what I am doing for that and get stuff ready!!

Every day is a gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today.

Happy Memorial Day

Hanna got this card as a swap last summer in Utah, because she knew I would really like it.

She was right!!  I think this card is very fitting today when we honor and thank our military personal.

The graduation festivities are over for the weekend.  We got home late yesterday evening.  My niece received several scholarships or awards at the ceremony yesterday which was very exciting.

Today is going to be a very low key day of laundry and relaxing.  John and I were going to go to the Memorial Day ceremony at the cemetery, but since it is raining right now not sure that is going to happen.

Every day is gift . . . make the most of the gift you have been given today.

We ended the evening by eating at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants.

By the time most of you read this we should be well on our way to Des Moines for my younger niece's graduation.  Family, fun, and celebrations are on the menu for the weekend!!

Last night we got all of our travel arrangements for our trip to Maine.  We learned last year how busy it is out there and how hard it is to get a hotel room.  We have our rooms booked for our trip out and our stop on the way home at Niagara Falls.  Everything is falling into place and it will be here before we know it.

Teeny Tiny Wishes

My sister-in-law and I had a great time stamping yesterday.  We whipped out several graduation cards for her as she has a daughter graduating in a couple of weeks.

Once we got the fold and flip figured out on this one, they went together VERY quickly!!  Their school colors are red, black, and white so of course we had to try one in each color.  At their graduation ceremony the girls will be wearing red gowns and the boys black so these were perfect!!

Stamps:  Teeny Tiny Wishes
card stock:  Real Red, Basic Black,  Whisper White, Brights DSP Stack
Ink:  Memento Black Ink
Accessories:  Simply Scored, Neutral candy Dots, Brights Candy Dots,
Modern Label Punch, Whisper White Baker's Twine

My pre-order of new stamping products came late yesterday afternoon, so as soon as I am done rearranging my shelves, I am going to play with some new stamps!!  John is going fishing today and camping tonight and will be gone again tomorrow so I have the place to myself . . . I can stamp till the wee hours of the morning if my energy holds out!!
