As soon as I am done posting this Hanna and I are out the door to take a friend to the airport to fly out to join her husband and then we are going to pick up any last minute things she has forgotten for her trip to Africa tomorrow.  Probably not a lot of time for stamping today and tomorrow, but after that it will be pretty quiet around here so I should have time to play with the new products I have received from the upcoming new catalog!!

Everyday is a gift . . . enjoy the gift you have been given today!!

Happy Stamping!!

Votive candle holder/Tool Holder

Today instead of a card I am sharing some of the decorating I have been doing around my stamping room. This project is so simple . . . all it takes is a tuna can, some clothes pins, and some washi tape.  I simply covered the clothes pins with my choice of washi tape colors, clipped them onto the tuna can, and presto I was done.

Supplies:  Retro Fresh Washi Tape

I decided to see if it would work for tool holders as well, since I am trying to organize all of my like things together.  And sure enough it does.  Looks like my family will be eating a lot of tuna, since I have a LOT of stamping tools.

I think everyone had a great time stamping last night, once I finally got there.  Make plans for three weeks from last night to join me again for another card making night.

Happy Stamping!!

Graduation Weekend

This was a big weekend at the Wilson household.  Even though Hanna finished with her classes in December and has been substitute teaching all semester, this weekend was the "official" graduation.  I took a layout of one of my demonstrator friends, Susie, and changed the colors up to make Central graduation cards.  Thanks to the college bookstore, I had several of the gold foil seals to add to my card.

Stamps:  Pomp & Circumstance
Cardstock:  Real Red, Whisper White, Gold Foil Sheets, Champagne Glimmer Paper
Ink:  Real Red
Accessories:  Starburst Framelit Dies, Circle Collection Framelits, Big Shot, Merry Minis Punch Pack, Stampin' Dimensionals
I love being able to personalize my graduation cards to the recipient's school colors!!

What graduation would be complete without a picture of the graduate with their "parental units" as they were being called this weekend.

It was a great weekend and now we are on to the next big adventure. . . leaving for Africa on Thursday!!

I, on the other hand, will be finishing up the preparations for stamp class at Godfather's Pizza tonight.  I hope you can join me!!

Bright Blossoms Butterfly

I am truly going to miss the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder.  I think it has to be one of my all time favorites.  We used it last night on this Bright Blossoms card.

Stamps:  Bright Blossoms, Sweet Essentials
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Basic Black
Ink:  Wisteria Wonder, Old Olive
Accessories:  Framed Tulips Embossing Folder, Big Shot,
Elegant Butterfly Punch,  Basic Rhinestone Jewels, Stampin' Dimensionals

Cleaning and rearranging my stamp sets and clearing off all of the retired sets is on the agenda for today.  My preorder of new catalog stuff comes in on Wednesday and I want to be ready to play with it as soon as it comes in.

Simple Hello

It has been a while since I have posted any thing.  You would think that since I am retired, I would have all the time in the world, but it seems like while I may have more time but I don't make as good of use of my time and the days seem to get away from me.  I will make a better effort to try and post daily.

This is one of the cards we will be making tonight at stamp class that features a couple of retiring embossing folders.  I always think that the products that they retire just can't be replaced, but then I get to working with new stuff and realize that I like the new products just as well.

Stamps:  Lacy and Lovely
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Pacific Point,
Old Olive, Real Red, Tangerine Tango
Ink:  Black Stazon
Accessories:  Stripes Embossing Folder, Flower Garden Embossing Folder,
Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Chevron Embossing Folder,
Big Shot, Stampin Dimensionals
Life is changing fast at the Wilson household.  Hanna received her contract for her first teaching job in the mail the other day and plans and preparations are underway for her move to Central Iowa.  She is also getting ready for her third trip to Africa in a couple of weeks so days have been filled with getting everything ready.  Hard to believe she will be out and on her own in a couple of months.

Tonight's stamp class will feature products that will be retiring at the end of May.  I hope you can join me!!!
