I am happy to say all 22 scrapbooks are done and ready to be handed out on Monday. As I was telling someone at school yesterday, this ended up being a much bigger project than I anticipated, but I just couldn't stop adding photos. There are at least 21 photos and our class motto/poem in each scrapbook by the time you open all of the flaps. This has been such an awesome class that I just couldn't quit!!! I hope the kids and parents enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them!!!

Memories and Scrapbooks
Well.....all 22 of the scrapbooks are almost complete. I ended up taking more pictures of the kids than I thought I would so I added some other flaps and also a card with the remaining pictures. Check back tomorrow for pictures of the inside. Even though I gave them a card like this at the beginning of the year to symbolize the memories we were going to make, I thought it would be appropriate for the end of the year as well.
The field trip yesterday was awesome. A big shout out to the staff at School of the Wild for an absolutely perfect day. The weather was great and so were all of the activities.

Today's card was designed by Luetta and one that we made at our meeting a couple of weeks ago. I love the background...can you guess how it was made? We took a pencil eraser and white craft ink and randomly stamped the background. Cool....right???

Pray that the rain holds off for today. This is our big All School Field Trip to the School of the Wild at Lake McBride Raptor Center. The kids will be so disappointed if we don't get to do everything we have planned.

Hello, Hello
Today's card is another one that we made a couple of weeks ago at a stampin' meeting. A demonstrator friend, Judy Hopping, brought this card for us to make (thanks Susie for the name) and I am also not 100% sure which stamp set the word hello came from.......but I love the card because it showcases all of the new In-Colors so well.
It looks to be another rainy day....but then I could probably say that about any of the days this week!! Amazing that there are only five days left of school!!

Following My Own Advice
I think I need to take my own advice on this card!!! Yesterday was a very emotional day.....we had the staff retirement breakfast, an assembly where the kids sang songs and gave us all cards, and then I went to the cemetary to put some flowers out for Mom and Dad. John and I then stopped at Carlos O'Kelly's for supper because I was too tired to cook. Needless to say I slept very well last night!!!
This card is one that Hanna and I designed for our swap last Saturday. This card is made with all new product as well. Whether you dance in the rain, make lemonade, or wear rose colored glasses....everything will be okay in the end!!

Today is another big day. We are taking the kids swimming this afternoon. It will be a beautiful day for that. As soon as I get home, I am changing my clothes and John and I are jumping in the car to head to Cedar Falls to spend the weekend with my family as my nephew, Q, gets married!! Sneak Peek.....New Catalog
Saturday, Hanna, Luetta, and I went to a stamping meeting hosted by our friend Susie. We got to play with a lot of things that are coming out in the new catalog. This is the swap that Hanna and I made to take with us, made with entirely new products. I love this new color combination.....Crisp Cantaloupe and Baked Brown Sugar. I even love the names.

Today I have to be at school early...they are hosting a retirement breakfast for those of us retiring. Martha, our school cook, generously offered to make the food for us. She is a great cook and I am certainly looking forward to what she has made.

Sending Sympathy
The kitchen is semi-cleaned for another stamp class here tonight. We will be making the same cards that the gals made in Iowa City on Monday night. It was kind of hard for me to believe, but Monday night was the last night I will teach all day and do card class at night......no more getting ready only on Sundays......I will have my whole days to do it. Now if only I will and not procrastinate!!
Today's card is one that I made several of. Like I have said before...sympathy cards are not something I can sit down and make when I need them.......I have to have them made up before hand.

Monogrammed Note Cards
This is another one of the cards that we made last night at stamp class......a very quick and easy way to make monogrammed stationary. It would be super easy to switch out the DSP and find matching cardstock colors for a great variety. It is also a great way to use up all those smaller scraps of Designer Series Paper that you might have laying around.
Tonight is the only free night I have this week.......not sure what I am going to do with it, but I am sure I will find something. I should work on finishing up the kids scrapbooks......I can't wait to share them with you!!

Thinking of You
It has been crazy busy around here, with Hanna home and getting ready for the last ten days of school. I somehow missed posting over the weekend. On the flip side, the cardstock is cut and the car is loaded for stamp class tonight.....despite no electricity last night when I was finishing up! This is one of the cards we will be making.

I got a wonderful surprise yesterday.....Hanna had secretly contacted many people about a card shower for my retirement and then put them all in a big scrapbook for me. She gave it to me yesterday because she is leaving for her camp counseling job this morning and won't be home till the middle of June. It is a good thing she gave it to me in the privacy of my home, rather than out in public. But I guess most of you have seen me cry before.

Flower Bouquet
When the First Edition Designer Series Paper came out, I thought to myself...."What would I ever use that for?" Now I that it is getting ready to retire, I know what I can use it for and wish it was sticking around for another year.
Today will be a busy day at school...all of the children will be helping to weed and clean up around the school grounds. After we get that done we are putting down new mulch around the front of the building. It always looks so nice when we are done with it and the children feel a sense of pride that they have helped.

Imagine the Possibilities
I absolutely love the set "Word Play" which will be retiring in two weeks. It has some of the neatest sentiments in it. This is one of them.....Imagine the Possibilities. That is certainly what I am sitting here doing now....imagining all of the possibilities of things I can do with my time when the next two weeks are over. I have several things planned in the works so stay tuned!!

Yesterday certainly gave us a hint of summer. I must admit, I have missed the spring weather.....how often do you see snow and over 90 degree temps in the span of two weeks in May!!
Tonight is my night to design and stamp my two swaps I will need for this weekend when I go to a downline meeting. I always enjoy these so much and I get to play with some of the new stuff in the new catalog!! FUN!!!

Forever and Always
Good Morning! The season of weddings is almost upon us. We found this out last night when we went to find John a sports jacket to wear to the weddings we have coming up this summer. The selection of jackets was very picked over but we did find one that he liked.
I love the simplicity of this card. Normally I am not a fan of one layer cards but this one is quite elegant, I think. And very simple if you have a lot of them you need to do.
Yesterday afternoon Hanna came out to school and helped me go through my desk one final time and to take down things hanging from the ceiling or high up on the wall. We thought it might be safer that way then having me climb on a ladder. Hard to believe, but there are only fourteen days left!!!

It has been a bit of a traumatic week at school, with a lot of changes for everybody there next year. I particularly like the saying in this card......whether you are looking at the glass half full as opposed to half empty, making lemonade out of lemons, or looking through rose colored glasses.....it all means the same thing. Finding positives in any and every situation, always makes things better!!!

Today's card is one that I took a picture of a year or so ago at a Stampin' Up! regional. It uses a retiring word set...Friendly Phrases. I know I am partial to black and hello...or black and gold but there is something about this color combination that just really strikes me!!
Life will be a little crazy at the Wilson household for the next couple of weeks. Hanna is coming home today, providing she can get the rest of her stuff packed in her car. If it doesn't fit, I will be making a trip to Pella tonight to help her bring the rest of it home.

What is Seis De Mayo you might ask? That is what you get when you have a Cince De Mayo card ready to go and forget to post it. Hanna and I were so involved in our shopping and where we were going to eat breakfast yesterday morning, that I walked out of the hotel and forgot to hit post!!!
We had a relaxing day shopping yesterday. We each managed to find some things we needed and also some things that were nice but that we didn't really need. Her bridesmaid dress fitting went wonderfully...she likes the dress and it will not even need any alterations!!

Tulip Time
As soon as I am done posting this I am ready to head out the door to Pella to spend the morning with Hanna at Tulip Time. This isn't the best picture, but here is what she sent me yesterday morning.

This is a picture of a card that Hanna and I took at convention last year. I really like how they took the Petite Pennant Builder Punch to make the curtains on the sides of the window.

Today is fitness day at Washington Township. The children will be divided into multi-age groups and will spend the morning rotating through different activity stations. I am lucky enough to get to be in charge of the dancing/aerobic station. My hope is that I don't end this fitness day like I did last year by taking a fall in the hall. That was not a good end to a day of activity.
