First Sight

Here is another one of the cards I made while in my stamping room the other day. I don't often color on the stamps with my markers, but I really should as I love the way it looks.

Yesterday I visited my friend, Judy, in the hospital and stopped and got a ton of groceries, just in case it snows this week.  We could be snowed in for a couple of weeks and be good!!  John in his painting room and me in my craft room, just coming out occasionally to eat a meal.  Life is good!!

Rose Wonder

I have used the Rose Wonder Thinlits a lot but had never used the stamp set other than for the sentiments.  I thought it was time that changed.  One of the cards I made yesterday was this one.

I love how soft the rose came out when it was watercolored!!

Watercolor Words

Here is another quick and simple Valentine card you could make in a second!!

Watercolor Words is one of those stamps sets I got after I had been at convention and I am surely glad I did.

It was so nice to sit in my room yesterday and create away without having to trip over things!!  I have a hair appointment first thing this morning and then I plan to spend a good part of the day there again today.  Stamp delivery is on the agenda for this afternoon.  I am hoping to talk John into going to our favorite restaurant in Kalona for supper.  We usually go at least once a week and I haven't been there since the week before Christmas!!  I am definitely in withdrawal from my Mexican food!!

Traveler

Here is one of the shoebox swaps brought Saturday by Nicole.  The Traveler stamp set is a great companion to the World Traveler embossing folder.

It doesn't show up very well in the photo but the embossing folder has been sponged with a Smoky Slate color to give it some depth.

I have been busy, busy, busy cleaning and really organizing my stamping room this week.  I made the decision to part with some things so that I would have room for both my stamping supplies and also my craft show things.  Here are a few photos from around the room.  I even have the floor picked up enough that I was able to run a vacuum cleaner!!  It has been a long time since I have done that!!  It does feel really good to have it done though!!

The Sky Is the Limit

One of the limited time Sale-a-Bration stamp sets this year is this awesome masculine set called "the Sky Is The Limit".  Kathy White brought this swap Saturday and I just loved the colors so this is also one of the cards everyone stamping this week is making.

Bloomin' Love

Today's card is one that comes from the demo meeting I attended on Saturday. I did a good job of making sure I knew who brought what shoebox swap, but when it comes to the pre made swaps we all took and exchanged there were several without names.  This is one of those.  I layered it on a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock.

Hello Life

I wanted one more simple card for Make-It-Monday tonight and Hello Life came to the rescue.

I really like the way it turned out using the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack  So easy if you wanted to make a lot of Valentines for mailing!!

Today I am picking up a friend and giving her a ride to an appointment and then running some errands in Iowa City before stamp night tonight.  Luckily it looks like the freezing rain they had predicted for us has moved elsewhere and we will just be getting plain rain.  I'll take it!!

Here is the card I took as my shoebox swap yesterday to my stamping meeting. It is also one everybody who is stamping this week is going to make!!

I love the red foil and am glad that they decided to carry it over from the Holiday Catalog for another few months.  It makes awesome Valentine's Day cards!!

What I Love

Finally yesterday afternoon about three o'clock y eyes cleared up enough from their dilation that I could work on my swaps for a stamping meeting that I am going to today.  Here is one of the cards I am taking.

I should have planned my week better because it took me longer to make these than I thought it would.

This card opens a little differently than the ones I usually make . . .  this is a z-fold card.  I do love the color combination of Elegant Eggplant and Pear Pizzazz!!

Botanical Blooms

Tonight I have my monthly shoebox swap group meeting and here is the card that I am taking.

It looks pretty easy but I must be having an off day of stamping because I had to stamp the images several times to get them where I wanted them.  Usually I just cut, stamp, and go . . . but not today!!

Today is my volunteer morning at Hospice and then I will be visiting my friend, Judy, in the hospital.  At least the wind chill is not much below zero today . . . although when it gets that cold I am not sure it makes any difference how far below zero it is!!

Today's card is a very simple Valentine card that would be easily duplicatable if you needed a lot of cards!!

It uses Designer Series Paper from the Love Blossoms stack so you would be able to get many cards from one pad of paper.

I hope you are all staying warm on this very COLD morning in Iowa.  The sun looks very warm as I look out my window but I know it is cold, cold, cold outside.  But we are  more than halfway through January so that means we are on the downhill side of winter!!  

Believe it or not I think I am going to go out today and run a few errands and a few other things.  I can only stay cooped up at home so long, and other than a couple of hours Friday, I have been at home since last Tuesday afternoon.

This Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper is absolutely awesome!!!  And it is so easy to cut with the precision base plate in combination with the magnetic plate and your Big Shot.

 

I had some time to spend in my stamping room yesterday and got a lot of samples done that I will be sharing with you in the coming days.  As cold as it is, the heater in my stamping room has been getting a workout!!

Paper Pumpkin
