Honeycomb Happiness

Today is the last day to take advantage of the free products during Sale-a-Bration.  I am sure I will be using this stamp set long past today as I love these ice cream cones.

We tried a new place last night for Make-It-Monday and it seemed to work all right.  Now I have to make a decision as to whether to keep it at the original one or to move all classes to this one. I am not sure what to do, but I have a title time to ponder the decision.

Today is my volunteer day and then I am coming home to rest.  I was so tired last night I actually set my alarm for 6:00 PM instead of 6:00 AM.  At least I have a fairly good internal alarm and was up in enough time to get everything done I needed to before leaving to volunteer.

Today, I am planning on trying to finish up getting everything ready for tomorrow night.  At least this week I already have the cards planned so I am ahead of the game somewhat!!

Yesterday was quite the successful day.  I got my taxes to the tax person, went out for a fabulous lunch with my friend, Luetta, and stopped and bought a very comfy recliner on the way home.  I was also able to spend some time in my stamp room before John and I went out for a Mexican supper.  I traveled the world in just my meals!!

Today, although I would love to go and do something since the weather looks to be nice, I think I will stay home and get everything ready for Monday night. A book and a nap might be calling my name as well!!

I am hoping to spend a good portion of the day in my stamping room again today.  My friend, Luetta, and I are going out for Chinese for lunch and stopping at the furniture store again, now that I have my dimensions where my chair will go and is not my favorite salesperson's day off.  I did work last night and got all of our tax stuff ready to drop off today as well.  And . . . even though I am a die-hard Hawkeye fan, I do want to watch and root for Iowa State in the NCAA Basketball tournament tonight!!

Easter Lamb

The Easter Lamb is back again with another swap card from January.  I am not sure who brought this completed swap as there was no name on it.

I have a pair of fringe scissors, but they mostly stay on my desk.  I can count maybe on one hand the number of times I have used them, but they do make very neat grass.

Honeycomb Happiness

Maybe like this little chick says if we hang in there this week, the weather will start to act like spring since the calendar says it is spring!!

This is another one of the shoebox cards we made in January.  Unfortunately, I am not sure who brought this one!!

Today is going to be another busy day . . . . it is my volunteer morning at Hospice, running some errands, and then taking my friend Judy to an appointment.  I hope to find some time to stamp some when I get home later this afternoon.  I think I am finally caught up on my sleep and rest from my travels.  I woke up bright and early this morning before my alarm clock so that is usually a pretty good indicator!!

Easter Lamb

Sometimes when I get a single stamp that has a sentiment on it, I trim the words off and mount it on the side of the wooden block.  Such is the case with the stamp, Easter Lamb.

This little guy can be used for so many more occasions than just Easter.  I think he makes an awesome baby card.  This is one of the cards that we are making this afternoon at DeAnna's stamping party.

Birthday Blooms

Dawn Klein is the designer of today's card.

I know the Hello Sale-a-Bration stamp set is no longer available but you could use any number of large word stamps to make the background of this card.

It is a good thing my washer and dryer are on my main floor.  Laundry has been the name of the game for a while.  I would NOT like having to go up and down the stairs to do as much laundry as I have had after being gone over a week. Oh well!!

Traveling is great but I am ready to be home for a while!!  We arrived back in Adel about midnight last night.  We are meeting to unload the van that we took and then I will be heading for home.  It was a great trip with some wonderful women!!

Beautiful Ride

This card comes from Kimberly Miller.    It totally reminds me of being a kid and playing Slug Bug with my brothers.

This was not a set I purchased so I was glad to get some samples using it.

We should be heading back to Stillwater sometime this afternoon.  Jenna has a school commitment tomorrow morning, so we need to have her back.  I am not sure what the rest of us are going to do on our way back to Adel.  Life is an adventure!!

Going Global

Nicole Slaubaugh was the stamper of this card.

Going Global was the first stamp set that caught my eye when I was looking through the Occasions catalog.  It will see a lot of use once Sale-a-Bration is over.

Hopefully by now we have seen a lot of Waco and are having a great time.  We had absolutely no plans when we set out . . . just a destination.  You can see the most interesting things this way!!  And we have certainly seen a lot.  Today is Magnolia Farms day. Considering one of the scavenger hunt ideas is to take pictures at 21 landmarks I can only imagine how the day will go.  Of course we will end our evening by watching the finale of The Batchelor or at least the other five will. I am never home on Monday nights so have not really gotten caught up in it.  It should be a fun day!!!

Oh So Sweet

I forgot I hadn't posted this card we made a while back.  This is one that came from my stamping, friend, Susie, when we had our stamping Saturday a while back.

I love the look of the Wink of Stella pen.  It just makes things so sparkly!!

I was in heaven yesterday.  I spent the day stamping while Julie was at her conference.  Somehow it doesn't seem to matter where I am, I can sure mess up a stamping space!!

My day was quite productive, however, because this is what I had done at the end of my stamping time.

Julie has meetings this morning and then we are going to head for home. Laundry and a quick change of suitcase, and I will be on my way to Adel for my trip to Texas with Hanna, her friends,and their mothers.

Party Pants

Here is another one of the cards everyone made on Monday night. This one comes from the blog of a demonstrator named Julie Davison.

One thing I found out over the weekend at my craft show was that I have no birthday cards for children.  I think this one would qualify, but I did order a bunch of the children stamps when I placed an order the other night.

We made it to St. Louis yesterday in good time and after lunch Julie headed off to her conference.  I promptly took a nap until she got done.  We went out for supper and then just relaxed for the evening.

Julie left early this morning and I got myself organized for the day.

Any guesses at what I am doing today??  I gathered all of my Paper Pumpkins that I have never made up as well as other kits I have gathered over the past while and am planning on getting them all finished.  A book and a nap may also be on my agenda!!
