Heartfelt

Yesterday was a very productive day.  In between my two appointments I got a Shingles vaccine and also spent quite a bit of time at Panera's.  While I was there I got a lot of happy mail ready to send out.

My supper plans last night got postponed until next Wednesday night, so when I got home I got into comfy clothes and kind of vegged out for the rest of the day.

I am off and running early again this morning to get some labs drawn.  Tonight Julie and Jason are picking us up and we are meeting Hanna and Jake in Grinnell for a winter birthday celebration.  I hope the weather cooperates for us.  Last year we had to reschedule this celebration about four times before we finally made it.

Honey Bee

I love when stampers take the supplies that are in their packets or on the tables and make their own design.  That is exactly what happened here with the supplies for the bee card I showed you yesterday.  You can see that card here.

Here is Linda's card.  Would you believe there were four Linda/Lyndas there Monday night?  I did not think that name was all that popular, but maybe I was wrong.  Anyway . . . I love what she did with the supplies.  She said that the bee side of the paper was too pretty not to use.

Honey Bee

Being a Hawkeye fan to me means that you love anything Black and Gold. And since the football team comes out of the tunnel in a swarm . . . my mind goes to bees. And to this stamp set and to the designer series paper that is a Sale-a-Bration item.  Over thinking . . . maybe . . . but you get the point . . . I love anything black and gold!!

This bee card which comes from Stamp With Amy, is one that everyone stamping with me this week is going to make.  Judging by the number of people that bought this bundle after last night . . . I think it is safe to say that they liked this bundle as well!!

Yesterday was another low key stay at home day.  Stamping and reading and organizing were the main things that I did get accomplished. 

We were suppose to have a stamping get together today that was postponed from last week.  We are postponing now until next Saturday.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate next week.

Today is John's birthday so we are going out for supper tonight with Julie and Jason.  Luckily they are driving so I don't need to worry about that at all!!

Today's cards is a quick one that I made several weeks ago.  If you know me, you know I love purses, so this paper was right up my alley!!!

One of the goals I made for myself a couple of year ago was just to send out more cards.  I usually end up mailing out anywhere from 40-50 cards a month. This one would be perfect to send to a friend just let them know I am still thinking about them.

Clubhouse

Clubhouse was another one of those sets that I knew I needed when I first saw it!!  Both of my brothers are golfers, so I knew it would be perfect for cards for them.

My youngest brother's birthday was Sunday so this was his card.  Hopefully he has it by now.  

One of my nephews has a birthday today so I sent him one of these cards as well.  This card opens just a little differently, and has a small space to write.

The Gangs All Meer

When we were at On Stage in Las Vegas last November everybody was crazy about this stamp set . . . The Gangs All Meer.  I can't say I'm crazy about it, but they are kind of cute.

The minute I saw them I thought they would be cute in an Etch-a-Sketch card. I had seen several with other stamp sets and made a Christmas one with Susie, so I was anxious to try it.  I think it turned out pretty good.  This is the last of the cards everyone made at the last Make-It-Monday.

It was good to get out of the house last night for the Valentine's Day class. I had no problem getting to and from Iowa City.  I was a little worried about getting up my driveway when I got home, but even that posed no problem.  

Today I have an appointment for my shoulder, and then I am picking up my friend, Linda, and we are going to go to our Monthly Paper Pals shoebox swap night.  We had to postpone it last week because of the weather and it looks like tonight was a good night to change it to since it is suppose to start snowing again tomorrow!!

Well . . . the stamping part of the day yesterday went off without a hitch, but the football watching was a little difficult as we had no cable TV for most of the day.  Luckily I was able to find the games on my phone, but it wasn't the easiest way to watch.

I am hoping to get out today if my driveway cooperates . . . I have a stamp night tonight.  I can probably get down my driveway without any problem, but getting back up it might be a whole other story!!  We shall see!!

Today will be filled with stamping and then watching the Super Bowl Playoff teams.  I really don't care who wins as long as they are good games.

Dressed To Impress

Last Thursday we started backup with Technique/Stamp Club for 2020.  The first technique we worked with was Reverse Die Cutting.  The shoes in this Dressed to Impress stamp set are perfect for this technique.

You could probably do this technique without it, but a Stamparatus certainly comes in handy!!  For a tool I didn't think I needed before I had it, I certainly use it a LOT now!!

Well . . . the weather played havoc with my plans yesterday.  I would rather have a bunch of snow than the ice we had yesterday.  After taking a spill in my own backyard, I stayed put in the house, either in my stamping room or my recliner.  I did not hurt myself, but I certainly jarred every bone in my body.  I am surprised I am not any sorer today.  I'm going to try and walk today and I want to go to the grocery store to stock up in light of the forecast for tomorrow and the weekend!!

I was housebound yesterday . . . but not by choice!!  They city was taking a tree down in our parking and I could not get out of the driveway as the big bucket truck was blocking the way.  After they finished our tree they took two trees down in the neighbor's lawn across the street, so we were stuck in the house for quite a while.  So, what better thing to do than to stamp.  I will have plenty to share with you in the days to come!!
