Elephants, Olympians, and Iguanas...Oh My!

Today we visited the Hogle Zoo. Hanna and I really like zoos and we try to go to them whenever we travel. I was really impressed with how they take care of the animals at this zoo...they all looked very healthy and active. They have the oldest African elephant in North America and they had the oldest gorilla in the United States until he died a couple of years ago. So you can see they really take care of their animals.

We spent the afternoon shopping at Gateway Plaza and saw Olympic Plaza and Snowflake Fountain which commemorates the Winter Olympics held here in 2002.

We met up with two other demonstrators from our area...Susie and Dawn. It was raining cats and dogs so we called a cab to take us out for supper. After waiting over half an hour, the rain had stopped, so we set out on foot. We ended up at the Blue Iguana, which has delicious Mexican food.

We have another day of sightseeing tomorrow before the convention actually starts on Wednesday.
